Chapter 96: I'm Trusting You With My World

A little while later, Caspet entered the room with the healer, to find a sleeping Kumari. Armel was wide awake, his eyes focused on his sleeping mate.

The healer nodded his head at the Cankurian before quickly inspecting Bae's ankle.

"The Kumari should try not to walk on it for the next few days," the healer told them quietly so as not to disturb Bae. "It's nothing serious but it's best to give it some time to heal before she puts too much weight on it."

"Thank you," Armel replied.

"You're welcome, your highness. You're very welcome, indeed. I can now go home and tell my wife that I've met the Kumari's mates."

"It's a shame you can't say you've met the Kumari," Caspet said apologetically.

"It sure is, but the Kumari and the babe will need their sleep," the healer replied with a wide smile. "What's more, at least I can say that I touched her ankle. Although, that sounds slightly peculiar, doesn't it?"
