Chapter 92: Can I Stay in Bed?

I'm sitting staring out the window in the TRW conference room. It's been a tedious and long morning and the afternoon is going to be much of the same.

My assistant brings me in a cup of coffee. I don't acknowledge it. I don't say thank you. I shudder to think what my mother or Aurora would say about my manners.

I just can't believe how much of a waste of time this morning has proven to be. I might as well have stayed home; the interviews were completely pointless.

Not a single applicant was what I wanted.

I sigh before turning around. I spot my coffee on the table, next to it a sandwich. I must remember to thank her.

I eat the sandwich quickly as I glance at my phone. I quickly look through my emails but am disappointed when I realise that they are all work related and there isn't a message from Aurora. I decide to break the silence.
