Chapter 112: Prepare for Take-off

"Tell the pilot to prepare for take-off," I demand of Henry who is stood beside me. "I want to be in the air soon as the door is closed and everyone is in their seat."

I know that I'm being unreasonable but I think if I can ever be unreasonable it's right now. I help Aileen and her mother out of the car. There is a definite air of cease fire between myself and Mrs Stone. Right now, all that matters is getting to L.A. and seeing Aurora and Lewis. Mrs Stone looks her usual perfect self. The only sign that anything is wrong is that she's wiped off her make-up and she looks like she's been crying. Aileen on the other hand is wearing a pair of leggings and a baggy jumper. Her hair is in a plat and her eyes are red.

"Have you heard anything?" I ask them both.

"Not much," Michelle is white with fear, "only that they are not dead. The co-pilot; he's dead."

I feel terrible for it, but I sigh in relief.

Aurora is not dead.
