╰┈➤ ❝a reason❞
Wooyoung really wanted to protest but before he could say anything, he was already out of the office, hand-in-hand with Hongjoong who was dragging him through the endless halls somewhere. He knew he was going to be safe, but the sound of people fighting downstairs made him anything but relaxed. His safety was one of the least things he was worried about at the moment, the safety of a certain purple head worrying him a bit.
He trusted San, yes, but he still couldn't help but worry about him when he said that he was going to help this Jongho person fight with the attackers. He wanted to help, but there was no way he could help with no powers, right? He was a human, not a magician or miracle maker.
The endless halls came to a halt when Hongjoong stopped in front of a wooden door down the hall, throwing it open and closing it behind him. "Okay, this place should be safe, you won't get hurt if you stay quiet here. I'll go get Yeosang now, so don't move, okay?" Hongjoong raised an eyebrow to get a reaction from the other. Wooyoung nodded and Hongjoong plastered a smile on his face. "Good, see you in a bit." He said and left the room in a hurry, his red hair bouncing on top of his head as he ran down the hallway.
Wooyoung just had to wait for Yeosang to come, and oh boy was he anxious of meeting him again, considering his memories of him weren't the most pleasant ones. He wanted to forgive him for what he did, but he couldn't. The trauma dag its way too deep into his memory and it was too hard to get it out of there.
Now that he was alone in the room, he had time to take in the surroundings. The room was rather small for a two-people bedroom, only the two small beds filling the room and a tiny table in the corner with a lamp on top of it. It was still cozy and nice, just what Wooyoung liked, so he was content with the room. He didn't know if he would stay in the room, considering that all of this was just temporary measures.
He was just about relax when the door opened, revealing the out-of-breath Hongjoong and an annoyed looking Yeosang behind him. Hongjoong sighed as he noticed Wooyoung was still safe, pushing Yeosang in the room and leaving the two alone in the room without saying anything. Wooyoung's heart was beating faster with the other in the room, the gloomy aura around Yeosang putting a frown on his lips.
He was curious, he wanted to know what happened to Yeosang and their friendship. The feeling of not knowing tore him apart from the inside, curiosity almost killing his mind as he wanted to ask Yeosang what was going on with him. He decided to be brave for once in his life, opening his mouth to ready himself for the shit show that was about to occur.
"Yeosang." Wooyoung said quietly, looking at the other male that was laying on the bed next to his, his back turned to him. Yeosang only hummed grumpily at Wooyoung but didn't decline the offer to chat, at least not yet. "W- what happened to you?" He asked carefully, Yeosang getting stiff at the question.
He wanted to know what happened, he needed an answer why Yeosang had been acting like that towards him and why he started to bully him with his friend group. Yeosang was obviously avoiding the topic, but Wooyoung wouldn't let him get away this time, determined that he would get some type of an answer out of the other.
"I know you don't want to talk about what happened, but I seriously need to know." Wooyoung started, staring at the older's back as he talked. "I hate the fact that you're just ignoring me, Yeo-"
"Shut up."
"I need to know Yeosang! I don't like being kept in the dark about problems that are probably caused by me!" Wooyoung huffed, anger building up inside of him. "This is ridiculous! For all those years we were best friends, inseparable! And after my mom and dad locked me in my room for three months after realizing I had a friend, you stopped trying! You stopped caring about me!" He said, feeling the lump in his throat grow more and more.
"Don't you understand that you harmed me more than you could have ever imagined? Don't you see that?" Wooyoung said with a soft voice, tears dangerously close to spilling. At this point, Yeosang had turned around to look at Wooyoung.
And for a split second, just a second, Wooyoung swore he saw a tiny glimpse of guilt in Yeosang's eyes. That exact moment sparked up hope inside of Wooyoung. He knew he had a chance with Yeosang and he would try and fix everything between them. He just didn't know how yet.
Wooyoung was too deep in his own world to realize Yeosang had stood up and walked up to him with an expressionless look on his face. "Wooyoung." He sighed, closing his eyes. "I have my reasons." He said, opening the door and taking one more glance at Wooyoung before disappearing to the hallway.
Wooyoung was baffled. What the hell would his reason be behind all that bullying and ignoring in the past? Was what happened so tragic that it had changed Yeosang's behavior completely upside down?
Yeosang was a mystery to him.
But he wanted to unravel that mystery no matter what.
