Their cowardice

Even with the darkness, I could still make out Lavi's enraged face. He had balled his quivering fists, his shoulders rising and falling as he held his ground in front of Alis.

The Crown Prince kept a placid expression. At least that was what it looked like from where I was standing. I narrowed my eyes to take a closer look. He appeared just as riled up as Lavi. His jaw was clenched tightly, his eyes were that of the stormy seas.

The moment I shifted my gaze at Erion—the usually lax and smiling prince—I was startled to see that he was fuming the same way as the two. Actually, he seemed to be the angriest one out of the three. The intensity of those two black orbs unsettled my stomach. It scared me, seeing this version of him.

Len and Lucius kept a good distance behind their younger brother, both plastering on grim expressions as shadows loomed over their hazel eyes. These wizards didn't appear to be enjoying the mood either.
