An Auction

"Oh, father you were here?"

But it's not Jessica's father. While Jessica hoped to meet her father, Hans was surprised to get a chance to meet his father at the auction.

Mr. Will slapped Hans's back lovingly, "you little brat, why didn't you tell me that you already had a woman and were getting married. Who is that woman?" words quickly left his mouth. Mr. Will really couldn't wait to skin his only son.

"There are many things I have to take care of, I can't introduce them to you at this time."

"Is she an ordinary girl who has nothing that you are afraid I would oppose you?"

Hans shook his head, thinking his father was too ridiculous, "My woman must be someone extraordinary, I'm sure you will be amazed by her."

"Then what about your job after the wedding?" asked Mr. Will again.

"I already have an idea for that one, you don't need to worry about it. I thought we could meet my future boss ... Ah, he's here." Hans bowed respectfully at the figure of a middle-aged man who was walking over.

"Is he the one you mention as your boss?" Mr. Will also immediately bowed respectfully to the man Hans said was his future boss. "Do you have that for real, son?"

Things that came unexpectedly raised big questions on Mr. William's mind. The son suddenly announces his wedding plans, ready to resign from the company, and accepts an unexpected job offer from someone.

Hans and the man exchanged greetings, while William felt awkward between them. Mr. Wiliam ventured to ask the man in front of him. "Is it true that you gave my son a job offer?"

Mr. William knew that the man was younger than him, but he did not dare to be any higher. The man in front of him was one of the great characters and he could not be careless towards him.

"That's right," the man replied calmly. "I have made an attractive offer for Hans and he has gladly accepted it. So I will look forward to the time when he can work with me."

The aura of the man that Hans mentioned as his future boss was completely dominating. Mr. William knew exactly who this man was, so he decided to hold back other questions in himself.

If Hans chose to quit being Jessica's secretary and work under that man, then there was nothing he could do.

"Father, please don't tell anyone about this, especially Mr. Hartanto."

"Why can't he even know you're going to work for him?" M.r Will tried to keep his tone of voice, he glanced at the man and didn't want to offend him.

"This has become an agreement between us, father. I hope you can understand."

"Okay, I'll shut my mouth. But I can't do anything if he manages to get this information from outside."

"Mr. Will, I will guarantee it," the man voiced his assurance.

Mr. William bowed his head once again respectfully, "if you have said it then we have nothing to worry about."

He was so shocked because of his son and forgot about his purpose to accompany Mr. Hartanto to the auction.

The auction was halfway through, this time they took out a necklace with an errant diamond pendulum and opened it for $ 25,000. Some people started making bids and the price went up slowly up to $ 60,000.

This necklace is quite good even though the diamond pendulum is not that big. It is a pear diamond with a size of 3 or 4 carats which according to the guide is included in class G VVS2. Its positive fluorescent or light makes it look like a diamond some grade above it.

The price hit 80,000 dollars and was about to close, when another offer came in, "One hundred thousand!" It was quite surprising because the previous bidder only dared to bid a few tens of thousands above the previous price, but this time the bidder immediately raised it to a hundred thousand.

Jessica and Tuan Hermawan also glanced at the last bidder. Surprised because this time it was Mr. Will who made the offer.

"Could it be for his future son-in-law?" Jessica made her speculation when she glanced at Hans who was sitting quietly beside her father.

"William is a generous person, so it wouldn't be wrong to be generous with his future daughter-in-law." Hermawan also commented on his granddaughter's thoughts.

Feel amazed at the young woman's thought.

Mr. Hermawan himself thinks the necklace might be for William's wife. Isn't that okay?

The bidding finally closed at one hundred twenty thousand dollars and Mr. William got the necklace.

"Do you want something up for auction today?" Mr. Hermawan straightened his back. Not wanting to feel defeated by Willian, he is ready to offer something to give to his beloved grandson.

"You're going to buy something for me grandpa?" asked the young woman excitedly. To be honest, Jessica didn't really like antiques or jewelry.

Jessica is a woman with a minimalist lifestyle. She used to be a nerdy girl who only knew studying and she had no interest in art. So until the end of the event, none of the items made him feel interested.
