(At the Earth kingdom)
"Mateo, I need to talk to you," Lucy began.
The prince sat down. "Go ahead. I'm all ears."
"Do you really not feel anything towards me?"
"I've told you a hundred times, no."
"What will make you like me then?"
The prince then laughed and told Lucy that he despised her.
Lucy clenched her fist. "You're going to far, Mateo."
"I'm just being myself."
The princess fell on her knees. "I've loved you for so many years! Is it so hard to love me back?"
"I will never like nor love you. Even if Mia didn't exist, I will never ever give my heart to you."
Lucy then asked how much he loved her. Mateo told her that he loved Mia more than anything in this world.
The princess cried, "Do really not want to marry me?"
Mateo started reading the book he was holding. "Is that even necessary to ask? I'd rather die than marry a nasty woman like you!"
As soon as she heard that, her heart broke. She knew how much he despised her, but did he really have to go that far? She's done everything, so why can't he just love her the same way she did?
Lucy sighed, "Mateo, enough."
Mateo laughed. "Why? Am I not telling the truth? You're just a spoiled brat!"
"Stop it."
"You're just afraid of being judged by your friends."
"I said stop!"
The prince rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'll go to my room first."
A few hours later...
(In the royal hall)
The king asked his sister if she wanted to proceed with the wedding since Mateo has been hurting her feelings. The princess then told him that she wanted to marry the prince no matter what happens.
Lucy looked at the window beside her. "I don't mind. I just want him."
Antonio smiled. "Then the wedding shall be held two days from now."
(At the Water kingdom)
Alice asked the queen if she was really going to the wedding. Mia then told her that it wouldn't hurt her to be at Mateo's wedding.
Leo said, "Mia, you shouldn't."
The queen responded, "Leo, I know what I'm doing."
Alice stated, "We're just worried about you, your majesty."
"I want to see Mateo happy," Mia said as tears started falling from her face.
"Do you want me to accompany you?" Leo asked.
Mia stood up from her chair. "No, I'll go alone."
Alice said, "Your majesty, you won't be able to handle it."
"That's right. Lucy will just humiliate you," Leo added.
The queen said, "I'm not—"
Before the queen was able to finish, a servant suddenly came and informed that Ruby has come to see the queen. Mia then ordered the servant to let her in. When Ruby arrived at the throne room, her eyes widened as she looked at the man standing beside the queen.
"You must be astounded by my presence, Ruby," said Leo.
"You-You can talk?" Ruby yelled.
Leo laughed. "Yes, I can."
"What happened to you?"
The queen answered, "It's a long story."
"Are you living here now?" Ruby asked.
Leo smiled. "Yes, the queen has allowed me to."
"I see. Anyway, I came here to ask Mia if she's going to the wedding."
"I am," the queen responded.
"What? Why?"
"I want to wish him a happy marriage."
"Although your smiling, I know that you're crying inside, Mia."
Leo shouted, "Mia, you shouldn't—"
"You wanna go? Then fine," Ruby interrupted.
"What?" Leo said before turning his head to look at Ruby.
"I'm going too."
"She won't be able to handle it," said Alice.
Ruby then asked them if they looked down on their queen which left Alice and Leo speechless.
Mia smiled. "Thank you, Ruby."
Ruby responded, "The wedding's in two days. I'll help you pick a dress."
"Alice, Leo, leave us for a while."
When they arrived at the queen's room, Ruby's eyes widened as she looked at the queen's clothes. The queen then chuckled and told her that she's free to borrow any of them any time.
Ruby shook her head. "No need. We need to decide on what you'll wear."
Mia smiled. "Up to you."
"How about this?" Ruby said as she brought out a black dress.
"We're attending a wedding, not a funeral."
Ruby brought out a blue dress. "I guess you are right. How about this then?"
"It seems to fit me."
"You like it?"
"I'll wear it."
Ruby then asked Mia if she really wanted to go to the wedding.
"Ruby, how many times do I have to tell you that I do want to go?" Mia laughed.
Ruby said, "Mia, don't act like you're strong. I know that you're still in pain right now."
"You're not wrong, but I can handle it."
"Mia, you don't need to smile. I understand you."
Mia asked, "What are you talking—"
"You don't need to hide it," Ruby interrupted.
"I won't."
"Promise me that you won't come crying to me two days from now."
The queen chuckled. "I won't."
