Two days later...
(At the Fire kingdom)
Albert told Olivia and Eleanor that he'd be distracting the king tonight since today's the day that they'd be executing the plan. Olivia then asked how he'd do it since Cameron rarely gets out of his room.
"He will. When I tell him too," Albert responded.
Eleanor started packing her things. "I see. We'll be on standby then."
"Have you prepared all your stuff?" Albert asked.
Olivia fixed her bed. "Yes."
"Make sure not to leave anything,"said Albert.
A few hours later...
(In the dining hall)
Kaycee asked what the dish was for supper. Carson then told her that it was pork and chicken.
The king leaned back on his chair. "Who'll cook it?"
Albert sighed, "Not Eva."
Kaycee took a sip of her drink. "Why not?"
"She needs to rest. Don't expect any food cooked by her for this week."
Meanwhile...
(In the king's bedroom)
"Where is it?" Eleanor asked as she was searching the bed.
"I can't find it. He must've hidden it somewhere," Olivia replied.
After a few minutes of searching Eleanor finally found it.
Eleanor showed her a sword. "It's this one right?"
"If you see something reddish, then that's it."
A few moments later, Olivia and Eleanor then grabbed their things, got out of the castle and rode their horses. But before Olivia could speak, a woman suddenly came and asked what they were doing.
"Julia, we were instructed to do something," Eleanor replied.
Julia brought out her sword. "Who ordered you?"
"Albert did," Olivia answered.
Julia furrowed her eyebrows. "You can't deceive me—"
Before she was able to continue, a man held her arm told her to let them go. Julia then looked back and saw that it was Albert.
"I'm sorry, your majesty," Julia apologized.
Albert smiled. "Olive, Eva, you may go now."
Olivia bowed. "Thank you, Albert."
As they went further away from the castle, Eleanor looked back and mumbled, "I'm sorry, your majesty."
Meanwhile...
"Where's father?" Kaycee asked.
Carson sliced his meat. "He's at his room."
"How about the sword?" the king asked.
The princess sighed, "What about it?"
"I've kept it under your bed." the prince smiled.
Kaycee said, "That's not—"
Before the princess could finish, a servant suddenly came and told them that Eva and Olive were reported missing.
(In the royal hall)
Timothy informed them that they weren't in their room. Kaycee then assumed that they were just walking around.
Timothy responded, "That's impossible, your highness. I always check the maid's room every night and when I checked theirs, all their stuff were gone."
"Has anyone seen them?" Cameron asked.
"Julia did."
"Bring her in."
When Julia arrived, she told them that she saw them at the main gate a few minutes ago. The prince then asked what they were doing.
Julia explained, "They were about to leave with their horses. When I tried to ask them what they were doing, your father suddenly interrupted and told me that he ordered them to do something."
Cameron's eyes then widened. "Check father's room!"
When they arrived at Albert's bedroom, he wasn't there. They searched the whole castle, but he was nowhere to be found.
"Why did father leave us?" the princess started crying.
"Speaking of father, let's check the red gem first," Carson mentioned.
When they went to the king's bedroom, the sword with the red gem was nowhere to be found. The prince then assumed that they teamed up.
Cameron looked at the window beside him. "They went separate ways. Two people went to the south while the other one went to the north."
"How do you know?" Carson asked.
"I've put a tracker on them, but father's exact location is unknown," the king replied.
"They've betrayed us," Kaycee cried.
The prince comforted, "Don't worry. We'll fix this."
"Brother, what should we do?" the princess asked before turning to look at the king.
Cameron answered, "Get the red gem. Once we get it back, we'll steal the blue gem and find father."
"Who will we follow? The one going North or South?" Carson asked.
"Of course it'll be the south." Cameron smiled.
The princess said, "You don't seem anxious, brother."
The king then told her that he had already expected something like this to happen.
The prince sighed, "I can't believe that Eva and Olive actually did this to us."
Kaycee smiled as more tears started falling from her eyes. "Now I know why they didn't want to be in a relationship."
Cameron giggled. "Doesn't bother me. I never liked Eva."
"What's your plan then?" the prince asked.
"We'll wait for them to arrive at their destination."
"Then?"
"We need to know where they are headed first before we decide."
The prince assumed, "Seems Like their headed towards the Water kingdom."
The king patted his shoulder. "Keep this a secret."
The prince smiled. "The more people, the greater chance we'll be able to get the red gem back."
"That doesn't apply to our situation now,"
"Why not?" Kaycee asked.
The king answered, "I don't trust anyone."
