What I Want

Meanwhile...

(In the throne room)

"You lied to her," Mateo began.

"I didn't, your majesty. I still told her the truth," Alice responded.

"Mateo, she didn't tell Eleanor everything for a valid reason," Mia said.

"You're telling us now that Albert and Jay's dead body has been found, but I just can't understand why you didn't tell Eleanor," Mateo sighed.

Alice explained, "Your majesty, I was—"

"Alice, you may go. I'll explain it to him," the queen interrupted.

A few minutes later...

The king asked, "Is that it?"

Mia answered, "Mateo, if Alice tells Eleanor, then my sister will assume that Cameron is dead."

Mateo then scratched his head and asked why must they keep it from Eleanor because she has the right to know.

Mia sighed, "She's already trying to get a hold of her emotions. Do you want her to go back to the way she used to be?"

"Put yourself on her shoes. The sooner the better, am I right?"

"Eleanor and I have been living together for years. Do you expect—"

Before she was able to finish her sentence, she suddenly felt pain in her stomach. Mateo then asked if she was alright.

The queen squatted. "It-It hurts."

"What's happening? Do I need to call the royal doctor?"

Mia slowly got up. "I just need some rest..."

"Are you sure? What if it's not related to your pregnancy?"

"I'm fine, Mateo."

Mateo carried her. "I'll bring you to your room then."

(At the royal garden)

Valentina asked Josh if he got any news from the Wind and Earth kingdom. Josh then told her that Ruby disagreed to her staying at the Wind kingdom longer, but Mark and Charlotte were able to persuade her.

Valentina sighed, "Tell her to protect Gabriel at all costs. He's my one and only son."

Josh bowed. "Yes, your majesty."

"How's your relationship with Lucy?"

The general lifted his head. "Your majesty?"

"Don't make me repeat my question."

"Why do you ask? We're fine, your majesty."

Valentina glared. "She seems down lately. What have you done?"

"I've done nothing, your majesty. I swear."

Valentina saw the bewildered look on his face and patted his shoulder. "Don't worry, that's just from what I observed."

Josh answered, "I heard that she's been spending time with Eleanor."

"Does she spend time with you too?"

The general blinked. "What?"

"Don't tell me that she hasn't been giving you time these days," Valentina said.

"No, No, it's not that."

"You don't need to lie to me, Josh. We'll soon be family. There's no need for formality."

As soon as the general heard that, his face started turning red. Family? He's never actually thought of marriage and the queen is now telling him that he's about to be part of their family? He and Lucy have never actually talked about getting married, so why is he so nervous?

The general asked, "Your majesty, what are you talking about?"

"Aren't you and Lucy going to get married soon?" Valentina teased.

"I haven't planned to..."

"She does."

Josh cleared his throat. "What did she say?"

Valentina giggled. "She's excited."

Josh's face reddened. "Why does she want to get married?"

Valentina smirked. "Would you believe me if I said that she wanted to have children?"

"She-She said—"

Without letting him finish, Valentina bursted into laughter. She said, "You're so easy to fool, Josh."

"Your majesty?" Josh responded.

"Lucy has never thought of that yet. I just made everything up."

The general looked away. "Oh, I see."

"Why do you look embarrassed?"

"I-I really thought she actually—"

"I didn't lie about the wedding part. She really wanted that," Valentina interrupted.

The general scratched his head. "Among all the things she could've talked about, why that?"

"Isn't it obvious?" You're the first one she thought of."

"What are you trying to say?"

"She could've just talked about her friends and family, but she chose to talk about you. This means that the wedding has been in her mind for quite a while now."

Josh sighed, "Your majesty, but everything hasn't been solved yet."

Valentina responded, "Then we'll wait for the day where everything goes back to the way it was."
