(At the Water kingdom)
"Mother, when will I be able to get a brother?" a little girl asked.
Mia scratched her head. "Well, your father and I never thought about it yet..."
"But I want a baby brother now! You told me that you'd give me a brother!"
"Ava, giving birth isn't easy."
The little girl scowled at her mother. "Isn't making out with father—"
Mia put her hands on Ava's mouth. "Who told you that? You're too young to know all of this!"
"Gabriel did."
"That boy sure knows a lot. Don't listen to what he says."
Ava folded her arms. "Why not? I'm already five and I still don't have any brother!"
"Don't you have Aiden? He's only a few years younger than you."
"He's my cousin! That's different!"
Mia rolled her eyes. "Well, you get to play with him any time you want."
"Mother! I really want a—"
Before the little girl was able to finish, a man suddenly came and asked why she was shouting. Both Mia and Ava then looked back and saw Mateo.
"Father!" Ava ran to hug the man.
"My dear daughter, did your mother bully you? Why are you shouting?" the man asked.
"Mother promised me that she'd give me a baby brother! It's been so many years and she still hasn't fulfilled it yet!"
The king bent down and looked at his daughter. "Ava, can you go to your room first? I have something important to talk about with your mother."
"Yes, father!" Ava said before closing the bedroom door.
A few moments later, the king kept staring at his wife. Mia then folded her arms and asked him why he was looking at her that way.
Mateo scratched his head. "Well, I think that Ava has a point. It's really difficult growing up as an only child."
"Are-Are you telling me to do that thing... With you...?"
Mateo bursted into laughter. "I'm just being concerned about our daughter. She rarely sees Aiden and there's no other child in this castle aside from her."
Mia sat on the bed. "When I was pregnant a few years back, you didn't even have any idea how envious I was when I saw you eating all those pastries."
"Why are you afraid to tell Ava that you lied to her?"
"If she really wants a brother that bad, we can just adopt."
Mateo pulled her into a hug. "Whatever your decision is, I'll always follow."
The queen smirked. "Even if I'm wrong?"
"Well, that depends on the situation." Mateo pecked her lips.
"We should get to bed now. It's getting late."
Meanwhile...
(At the royal garden)
"When do you plan to marry me?" Carson looked at the woman sitting on his lap.
"Well, when do you plan to go back to the Fire kingdom? You've been here for five years already." Olivia folded her arms.
Carson then told her that he'd never go back until Olivia gave him an answer to the marriage.
Olivia touched his lips with her index finger. "We belong in different worlds."
Carson grabbed her wrist. "What are you trying to say? Do you really plan to stay like this forever?"
"I think it's best if we end this."
"After all these years, you want to end our relationship just because of that?"
"I have no plans of getting married."
"Are you telling me that you're just going to become a maid for the rest of your life? Like I said, I can give you anything if you marry me!" Carson shouted.
"I want a to live a peaceful life. If I marry you, then the people of the Fire kingdom will care about my
life too," Olivia sighed.
Carson then told her that he was willing to give up everything just to live with her. He'd become a servant of the Water kingdom so that he could see her everyday.
Olivia's eyes widened. "Are you out of your mind? You're giving everything up for me?"
"I told you that I'm willing to wait."
Olivia stood up. "Just go find some other woman! There are millions of women out there who are a lot more beautiful than I am!"
Carson wrapped his arms around her waist. "I'm not going to stop loving you no matter how hard you push me away.
"Let me go."
"Listen, Olivia! I hate waiting. But if being patient means being able to be with you, then I'll wait as long as forever just to be with you."
"You're overreacting."
"I'll show you how much you mean to me, Olivia. I'm not going anywhere because being by your side is more than enough for me," Carson said before pulling her closer as they looked at the beautiful night sky.
