Forgotten Champion's Dungeon, Floor 1

Aveline sat down, steering clear of the man she killed. Bella, who was freaking out, sat beside her. She was shaking quite uncontrollably.

"You almost died, yet this is what fills you with fear?"

Bella glared, but didn't speak.

"Hey... I'm sorry. I was trying to lighten the mood. I can't think of anything else, since I'm pretty much powerless."

"Hah. Powerless? You killed him so easily. If I didn't know better, I'd think you could shove the damn boulder away."

Aveline sighed and smiled.

"If my magic wasn't sealed, yea. I could."

Her eyes slowly scanned the cave, locking on what seemed to be a way to head deeper.

"There's a way down..."

She made her way closer, though Bella seemed confused.

"What are you talking about? That's just a rock wa- the fuck!?"

From Bella's view, she just saw Aveline fade inside of the wall she was looking at. Aveline peeked back out.

"What's wrong? Come on. There could be a way out, somewhere. I guess..."

Aveline faded from Bella's sight once more, though Bella crept closer until... a hand pulled her in. She stumbled, landing on Aveline. Her face was pressed between her breasts.

"At least buy me dinner first."

She gave a playful wink before she led Bella towards the hidden cavern. Though she didn't release Bella's hand.

They wandered for a while, leading into a nearly dark room illuminated by what seemed to be a door. Aveline crept closer, feeling Bella's grip tighten. Touching the door, a notification appeared from her system.

'Only those chosen may enter.

You have been deemed chosen.

Dungeon has been scanned. Entrance has been blocked. Exit is being created.

To exit, you must complete every dungeon.'

Aveline paled.

"How many dungeons are there?"

'3

Forgotten. Lost. Forsaken. Each dungeon holds a small number of floors. 3, 3, 2 respectively. On each floor a boss monster will await your presence. Eliminate all 7 to be set free.'

"Can... can you set Bella free, first? She's not chosen."

'...done.'

Aveline looked back, her hand no longer held Bella's. She was gone. Aveline's eyes went wide as fear struck her.

"I just wanted a confirmation! Where the hell did you send her!?"

'...somewhere safe.'

Aveline felt somewhat relieved, but fear still clawed at her heart. Her worry wouldn't fade as she pushed the dim door open.

"Damn... whatever."

The door swung open, slamming against the opposite end. Aveline peered through, suddenly shifting to the side as a dagger was thrown towards her.

"What!? It's a serious RPG dungeon?"

Aveline crouched, then leapt sideways to grab the dagger. It was about half an arms length and heavily serrated. The blade was stone, not metal. She looked back as a small green creature with a hooked nose began to walk out. She lunged, slicing it's throat before it could come out fully. It fell, bleeding a nasty ooze-like blood. Animal skin covered the lowest part of its body.

"A goblin. Jeez. Agh!"

Jumping sideways, Aveline barely dodged another bone dagger.

"Egh! Ugh!"

Aveline turned around, launching herself towards the culprit. Another dead goblin, then Aveline backed out of the room.

"Dammit. Why did they toss things so quickly?"

'All beings in the Forgotten Champion's Dungeon are not fully intelligent. Kill them.'

"Huh? It's more vocal in here. How long will this bull take? Three floors..."

Aveline began to explore, slowly making her way through the dungeon. As she explored, Aveline came across numerous goblins. Some wielded blades or bows, while a couple even had weird axes or clubs. Unknowing of how long she had spent inside, Aveline rested more than a few times before she found something she wasn't expecting.

"Agh! Dammit!"

Her shoulder had been hit with a spiralling ball of flame. She ducked down and hid behind a rock, barely getting missed by another blast of flame.

"Can't even use magic in here! Lucky bastard."

Each time she peeked out, another blast of fire was sent towards her. She stayed against the wall, breathing slowly as she listened for the movements of the creature.

"Ngh! Ragh!"

Aveline smiled, swiveling around as she thrusted with the dagger. A taller goblin stared down, it's headdress nearly falling off as its eyes became lifeless.

"A shaman? Or a mage? Whatever."

Aveline stepped out, staring into the room he was guarding. She could almost feel a tremendous aura erupting from it.

"This floor was easy... but will the boss be that much harder?"

As soon as she entered, Aveline felt the room behind her seal with magic energy. She let her face drop into her palm as she looked towards the creature standing in the room with her. A large red skinned beast, holding a massive club. It was fit and slim, but had tough skin and muscles.

"An oni? Or a troll?"

"Oni, human. You die now."

Aveline's eyes widened as she shrugged.

"I can't really die right now."

Aveline attempted to lunge, but the oni instantly slammed it's club into the ground. Large amounts of debris was sent flying towards her. Aveline covered her eyes, ducking low as the largest pieces flew over her.

"You die."

The oni lifted it's foot, slamming it into the same area the club had landed. Aveline could feel the area tremble as she fell onto her hip.

"Well you're too strong for me to fight... physically."

Aveline got back to her feet, attempting to force her magic to spark.

"Why fight back? Just die."

Aveline jumped to the side, trying to avoid another attack. The oni grabbed her leg, tossing her like a rag doll. Aveline crashed against the wall, knocking her breath from her body. Her eyes began flickering as she struggled to breathe.

"I can't die right now!"

Getting to her feet, Aveline felt a mark on her shoulder begin to burn strongly.
