Five: The Dawn Organization
Dawn Organization
Headquarters, USA
Main Building
The Dawn Organization is a famous agent organization where the finest secret agents, spies, undercover agents, emissaries, and assets work. It has the largest group of agent branches worldwide. It is the safest league for secret agents since its technical qualities advanced to any other Agent Organizations. The weapons, technologies and other arms used for missions are made to its finest quality.
The Organization is responsible for these main areas including financial crimes such as fraud, prevention and investigation of counterfeit currency and securities, quests for the most wanted persons around the world, hunt for the missing wanted lords and the protection of current and former national leaders and their families. The Organization officially came into effect in 1874 as a small field office. The Dawn Organization of today has almost 10,000 employees worldwide, and boasts a variety of different weapons and equipment that has been carried by its agents through the years.
The main headquarters is built in USA, headed by General Clint with the help of his wife to organize, Mrs. Layla since they were the ones left after their Dawn ancestors. Other branches are spread worldwide and were also headed with fine pro agents, like Lapu-Lapu in the Philippines, Badang, Minsitthar and other agents in their loving nations.
There are different areas and departments in the Dawn Organization headquarters such as Uniform Division Technicians (UDT), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Weapon Innovator Team (WIT), and so many more but the most dominant department is the Fighter and Assassin (FAT), Counter Sniper (CS), Counter Assault Team (CAT), since it's where agents for missions desk.
Uniform Division technicians that work with the Counter Sniper (CS) Team use weapons that are custom built including the .300 Winchester Magnum-chambered bolt-action rifle. The rifles are composed of Remington 700 action in Accuracy International stocks with Schmidt & Bender optics. CS technicians also use the 7.62mm KAC SR-25/Mk11 Mod 0 semi-automatic sniper rifle with a Trijicon 5.5× ACOG optic.
The Counter Assault Team (CAT) uses a 12 gauge Remington 870 MCS breaching shotgun while both the Counter Assault Team and Emergency Response Team (ERT) are issued the 5.56mm Knight's Armament Company SR-16 CQB assault rifle. To date, the Secret Services division continues to maintain a completely independent acquisition process for all weapons used by the agency.
However, the agents specifically Fighter and Assassin Team (FAT) use their preferred weapons whenever they are in the midst of their mission. Pistols are simple to handle so the agents and uniformed officers preferred carrying pistols as they travel everywhere together as well with secret advanced weapons made in their very headquarters.
The Dawn organization agents and officers are trained on standard shoulder weapons including the FN P90 submachine gun, the 9mm Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun, and the 12-gauge Remington 870 shotgun. In terms of pistols, they handle 2mm Kolibri, Akdal Ghost TRO1, ALFA combat and ALFA defender, AMT automags, backup, lightning pistol, hardballer and skipper, and so much more. While many other agent organizations have stopped the use of submachine guns and subsequently replaced them with assault rifles, to date, the Dawn organization has no such plans to do so. Other equipment, specifically non-lethal equipment options used by Special Agents and uniformed division Officers includes the ASP baton and pepper spray. Agents carry the impossible-possible weapons such as Laser-Ignuter alcohol bottles, HD Camera Glasses, Soaring Spy Toys, Smartphone controlled watches, book cameras, spy clocks and so much more.
"Ms. Baroque, are you listening?"
I snapped and blinked for several times, I prevented myself from yawning. I almost dozed off.
"Ms. Baroque?"
"Oh yes, yes, ma'am?" I responded, "I am sorry, I'm listening," I smiled.
Ms. Lunox continued her lecture about the Dawn Organization. I secretly yawned, I already memorized these informations since it's repeatedly lectured to us whenever we conduct a meeting.
"Pull yourself together, Baroque." Lesley whispered and kicked my legs.
I groaned and glared at her.
We have arrived safe and sound, and I just had 7 hours sleep. The headquarters called us for a meeting, so I cancelled my sleep and immediately fixed myself to hear the redundant lectures of Ms. Lunox.
"So unfair with Gusion boy, he's still probably sleeping till now," I ranted.
Lesley smirked, "This won't affect his rank anyway."
I yawned, "Psh, I shouldn't have come here and had some rest instead. I am really tired, I had a lineup mission before ours."
"Shut up and listen,"
Ms. Lunox called for a break, and God knows how grateful I was because I would really dozed off if I do not get up from my chair.
"Where are you going?" Lesley asked. She followed me immediately after I left the big hall.
"Break,"
"Let's have some breakfast in the cafeteria then," she appealed.
My eyes widened, "Omyghad, it's 12:54 noon already, you haven't eaten breakfast yet?"
"I know you didn't eat breakfast as well, you're worse than me, Baroque."
I rolled my eyes, she just hit me. "Whatever."
"Just why the hell they called us for a meeting today? Can't we have at least a whole day rest?" I gritted my teeth.
"C'mon Baroque. They won't give us such rest, we were trained remember. They knew we can still survive without having a week of sleep." Lesley chuckled sarcastically.
"Oh yeah?"
I still remember our training days, I really lost my weight. We didn't eat for a week, we just had water. The worst one was when we were really exhausted and the trainers didn't allow us to sleep for a week.
Good thing I survived, most of the trainees were knocked off. And only a few of us was left standing, yet looking dead and drained.
"Hi," someone behind greeted us as we arrived at the cafeteria. I immediately looked away when it was no other than Officer Vale together with his buddies behind him.
"Oh shit," I silently cursed. I hope they were not serious when they said Vale and I could be a great couple.
"Hi, officers," Lesley greeted with a wide smile.
I did not bother to look but Lesley pinched me hard, "Yow, Baroque."
I glanced at the officers and greeted them, "Hi," except for officer Vale. I had a hard time skipping his eyes since he was looking and smirking straight at me.
"Oh ghad, greet Officer Vale, agent Guinevere," Agent Eudora mocked and laughed.
I glared and forced a smile, "Hello, officer." I said and immediately looked away.
I seriously do not know how to entertain guys.
"How are you, ladies?" Officer Valir came out from nowhere. I smirked and looked at Lesley.
Now, now.
"Lesley?"
Lesley glared at me, "What the fuck Guinevere. Fall in line, I'm hungry," she then glanced at officer Valir, "We are good, officer. May we excuse ourselves, we haven't taken breakfast yet..."
"But it's lunch now," Officer Vale cautioned, "It's bad, skipping a meal."
I glanced at him and smiled, "That's why we are going to have brunch,"
"Brunch?"
"Breakfast and lunch," I quickly responded, "Excuse us."
"You can join us, ladies,"
Lesley and I shook our heads, "No, no, we don't want to eavesdrop some important hidden topics from you guys."
"We shall go," Lesley said.
The officers just nodded and took their trays. While Lesley and I almost panted after escaping from the officers.
"Really, you should stop shipping Valir and me," Lesley carped.
"And you should stop over reacting when officer Vale and I are around as well,"
"Let's just ship those guys," she heave a small chuckle.
"What?"
"Whatever. Take your tray, I'm really hungry."
We moved to get our trays and picked at every served food. Can you imagine two maidens looking like a gluttonous pig? Well, it's weird but we exist again. We do not care how we look while eating, we are really hungry.
"Slow down, Vance," I said and gulped.
She stared at me, looking annoyed, "Said the one who just swallowed five kinds of foods at the same time,"
I rolled my eyes and continued eating, "I am fucking hungry, Lesley."
"So am I, Guinevere." She said and continued eating.
We became quiet for a moment and focused on eating.
"How do you feel?" She suddenly asked after being quiet for a minute.
"Huh?"
"How do you feel being a part of Dawn Organization?"
I stared at her, "Ecstatic."
"What is Dawn Organization for you, Guinevere?"
I frowned, why is she suddenly asking such dramatic questions? "How about you?"
"Psh," Lesley reacted, "This is my life. You know I'm doing this for my little brother, I'll do everything for him to have a normal life, I won't let him suffer, I don't want him to go through the storms I've been," she added and gulped her mojito.
"You must've a hard life, Lesley." I mumbled between eating.
"I had, and I love my brother so much." She said and glanced at her almost empty tray, "How about you?"
I stayed quiet for a while. Lesley noticed my sudden mood, she glanced at me and furrowed.
I sighed and slowly chew my food, "Freedom." I answered.
"What?"
I stared at Lesley who just put her utensils down and focused at me, "This is where I found freedom. I'm not as free as you, Lesley. I am caged, and Dawn organization helped me escaped. I choose to chase my freedom, and will continue to hunt freedom even if it means losing my life along the journey."
She gasped as her widened with what I've said, "You must be having a hard life, Baroque."
I chuckled and forced a little smile, "I am, good thing I am a part of Dawn Organization."
"So am I." She responded.
We both became calm for the mean time as we continued to eat our brunch.
I looked around and smiled. The smiles from everyone's faces aren't hypocrite despite our deadly tasks and missions that dominance fall over surviving.
"This is not just guns, rifles and death, this is also life." I said and smiled making Lesley nod.
