Part 12

"Please be careful and don't get hurt." Izuku's mom said. After living here for so long, I had decide to start calling her aunt. "We won't." Both me and Midoriya said at the same time.

"I'll be recording the whole thing. Do your best Izuku." Aunt said, addressing Izuku. He looked over at me suspiciously. Normally she'd say it for both of us, but I may or may not have told her about me planning to give away my hero course spot to someone who deserves it. She just smiled at the both of us before we left the house.

There were powdery versions of fire works going off around the school. They were cute and in pretty pastel colors. The media was practically all over the building with how long of a line there was for security. When we passed the same report-a-bitch, I flipped her the bird.

There was a little shopping area in the main entrance. I let Midoriya run off to join the class, deciding that there was no harm done if I arrived a little late. When I walked past a food place, I could only snort at the sight of the heroes from the train incident. Mt. Lady was seducing the food guy to give her free food, and it was actually kinda creepy.

When they started walking, I ran past them and waved. Honestly, one of my favorite heroes would have to be Kamui Woods. Running past them, I hurried to class 1-A's waiting rooms, since I was kinda late.

~Time Skip~

I walked out to the main stage with the rest of the kids. We were only allowed to wear our gym uniforms, meaning I had to leave my hoodie back in my locker. I could only guess this was the first time anyone had ever seen me without. I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. The sleeves of the gyms shirt were short, meaning that the many battle scars along my arms were clear in the bright lights.

When Bakugo did the pledge, I could only sink into my clothes further, facepalming all the while. I could only feel comfort in the fact that I was wearing my signature mismatched high knee converse boots. They matched my eyes with the orange and red, but no one could tell cause of the sun glasses.

When the screen rolled out our first test being an obstacle course, I couldn't help but smile at the old memories of Death Runs. Sure they were hard to do, and it was annoying when you somehow ended either in front of behind the herd because a death would follow you, but they were still fun in general. Guess I should actually push myself and have fun with this one, huh?

It was a struggle to go through the starting tunnel with such a large group of kids, like running with the beginning herd in Death run. Feeling the rush of power, I jumped off the ground when Todoroki iced it. Iced ground was hard to fast run on, so I instead slid on it. I should really get my shoes checked out, there's literally no friction.

I blocked a few students who had already gotten out of the ice. Beginning to slide, I decide to go with a normal speed, letting others present themselves. I was still with the rest of class 1-A. When I looked back and saw Shinso getting carried by others, I waved at him. He waved back, seemingly fine with the fact that he wasn't getting very far with being carried.

When I turned back around, Mineta was getting tossed away by a 1-pointer. I hadn't been expecting them here, but now wasn't the time to think over it. They kept stomping at me, breaking the ice where I was sliding. I crashed into the icy floor under the grip of it. Using a different form of fast run, the arm holding me down went flying off of the robot. Before it could get me again, I switched back to running past more 1p's.

But when I got past, I stopped in my tracks as I looked up. A humongous group of zero pointers stood in my way. Everyone who had reached this far had stopped too, even Todoroki.

I then watched as Todoroki froze a a bunch of 0p's. I immediately followed him under the robots, running at a normal pace as others caught up. I then watched as they started to tumble downwards like dominoes. When a shadow fell across me, I landed quickly and used EC to send a pillar of earth straight through it. Pieces of it fell like debris, but I had wrecked it enough for me to get through. I could feel the glitch in me acting up, and I was starting to get tired.

The ropes over the canyon were thin and didn't seem to have any special properties. I watched others go by as I thought over what I should do. I smack myself in the face when I remember that I have spiderman style webbing at my disposal.

Using fast movement, I jump into the canyon feet first. Wonder if they have a net down here for the unlucky people. I can hear the commentary, smirking when I hear my leap of faith get mentioned. Then I 'fwip' a web, aiming it for a nearby pillar. Instead of attaching, it glitches into the rock and gets stuck in there. I grab it with both hands and swing upwards, flinging myself into the air as I cut the web from my arm. Letting the air carry me, I fall back below the pillars, before repeating the same process as before. I quickly create a rhythm before sailing over the pillars one last time and landing on the normal path again.

Todoroki, Bakugo, and a few others were ahead of me. I couldn't spot the familiar plain looking green hair, so I could only guess that Izuku was behind me.

~Mini Time Skip~

I get to the mines as others arrive too. Todoroki's already pretty far ahead with this one, and so is Bakugo. Using fast movement, I rush forward, letting caution glitches keep me out of danger. At one point I step on one, and end up getting thrown lightly into the air, the pink smoke coming from it surprising me. So running here is a no with the smoke, and caution glitches aren't doing the best. Using EC, I twist a foot forward, lean down, and bring my arms upward. A pillar of rock brings me up into the air, and using this, I take off my shoes. It's easier to connect with the earth without shoes, and by doing this, I make it easier for me to raise pillars and bend without interacting with the mines.

I bend the air around me, sending it circling back the pink smoke. I then run forward, performing bending mid air in between each pillar. Instead of doing complex movements, I make the motions with both of my hands, raise pillars, run onto them, jump into the air, and then raise more pillars.

I look back in surprise when pink smoke goes everywhere and a loud sound occurs. Flying over it all is Midoriya on a piece of scrap metal. I smirk. There goes my best friend. He flies ahead of me, and ahead of both Todoroki and Bakugo, who seem to have been fighting amongst one another.

I'm surprised when he uses mines yet again to blast past the two front runners. To give him extra momentum, he had smacked both of them with his scrap shield. Izuku comes in first. I get over the mine not to far from Bakugo and Todoroki. When I get to the festival again, I can't help but run up to Izuku and hug attack him.

"That was great! You did great Zuks! Keep going like this and win this thing, ok?" I yell as he seems surprised by the random hug. Tears were already flowing from his eyes, but now they flow even more. "Keep crying like that and they'll think your sensitive~" I say, holding onto his shoulders and turning to stand in front of him. When Ochaco runs over, clearly out of breath, we all smile at each other. Deciding to help her a bit, I start up heal and take her tiredness. Now I'm out of breath but she isn't. Lucky for me, I know the right way to breath after running miles.

From the way that Izuku plans stuff, I can't believe he has only one quirk. I mean, I think he has a second quirk and doesn't know it, and it's all about how he analyzes stuff and comes up with quick solutions. When I see Yaoyorozu come in with a pervy Mineta on her back, I quickly punch him off of her. If I could beat him up, I would.

Looking at the standing I see Izuku come in first. Todoroki comes in second. Bakugo comes in third. A girl named Shiozaki comes in fourth. And there I am, on the board. "5th place, not bad." I say, stretching my arms back.

That's when I see the boy that I had saved in the entrance test. He has he hair in a tiny braid, and sadly he came 32nd place. Wonder if his quirk had anything to do with the flower made of scales? I smiled when I realized that he was included in the top 42 who would continue on with the festival. Maybe we could get to know each other.

~Mini Time Skip~

The board scrolled past thousands of things we could get as a second test. I frowned when it landed on Cavalry Battle. This meant teaming up with others, which is something I wasn't the best at. Actually, I was more likely to be one of the few chosen last then to be a leader picking out people who would actually join my team.

When the lady goes on to explain how the first placer has ten million points, I can't help but frown deeper. With the kids in this school, the possibility of Izuku getting super hurt by the others is very large. I glance at him, only to see that everyone else is practically glaring at him. He's so scared you can see it in his face.

When we went over the rules, I realized that my points were ok. I had placed 5th, meaning that I had 190 points which was going to be added up and stuck to the head of the leader of my team. This didn't seem like a good idea.

~Time Skip, brought to you by the scene in this episode where Kamui Woods tries to drink water from a water bottle and ends up bumping the opening against his mask since it covers his mouth. I mean, is no one going to talk about that?~

We were given 15 minutes to build our teams. I just sat there, letting people see if they wanted me on their team. I felt like a shirt in a store with how the people looked around. I let out a sigh as I looked around.
