I've been here for eleven days, made three friends, a satyr and two demigods. I guess this won't ever be read again so, yeah. I'll be twelve in a few days. Peck Glen.
I sighed and put down my pen. It was no use, no one would ever read these and I'll probably die soon enough. I grabbed the note, crumpled it into a ball and tossed it into a garbage can. I stood up from my bunk and headed out of the Hermes cabin.
A few Aphrodite girls were talking about makeup, some Athena children were reading books outside and some Ares kids were checking the traps around their cabin. Some girls were growing plants at the Demeter cabin while two Apollo Demigods were playing the guitar and the harp.
I was taken by surprise at how beautiful the sound was.
Apollo children were really lucky to be able to know how to play instruments. All the other Demigods were lucky, they didn't have to stay in the Hermes cabin after they were claimed.
I sighed and walked away from the cabins towards the pegasus stables. I didn't care if I wasn't training, I just wanted to be away from the other campers for a while.
"I blame you, Zeus," I grumbled, even on a cloudy day thunder boomed from the sky.
"Careful, he might strike you with lightning if he gets the chance." Someone said from behind her.
I unsheathed my dagger, turned around and held it at their throat before realizing it was Alex. I moved my dagger away from his throat and sheathed it.
"Sorry," I said.
"It's fine," Alex replied. "But seriously, watch what you say about him."
"Got it, he'll strike me with a lightning bolt and I doubt my dad would care."
"I'm sure Hades isn't that heartless, Peck."
"Maybe he isn't, I saw a poster of him and I felt as if I'd seen him before. Perhaps I did meet him when I was younger."
"You'd be pretty lucky if you meant him."
"But I keep asking myself, how did my mom meet a god like Hades? Not that there's anything wrong with him, I'm glad to at least know my dad, but still."
Thunder boomed in the sky and rain suddenly poured down.
"Yeah, you definitely made Zeus mad," Alex grumbled.
"I honestly don't care." I shrugged.
"Gods, Zeus is going to hate you." Alex chuckled.
"Ha! I'm pretty sure he already does." I laughed.
"I've heard that children of Hades hardly ever have happy lives, but I think you've proven me wrong."
"I wouldn't be too sure of that, my friend."
"I'm going to get back to my cabin before this storm gets worse," Alex said. "You should get to the Hermes cabin."
"Yeah, I will in a bit. Thanks for the talk Alex, I'll see you around." I patted his shoulder.
"I'll see you around." He said and walked out into the storm.
I sighed and sat down resting my back against the stable door of Keena's stable. I must've dozed off and didn't dream because the next thing I knew my eyes were fluttering open, it was dark out and the storm was still raging on.
"Holy Hades, will this storm end already?" I grumbled rising to my feet.
Keena the pegasus snorted at me. I turned and patted her nose before walking out into the storm, I looked at the dining pavilion and saw the campers leaving and heading back to the cabins.
I shrugged, I may have missed dinner but I didn't care. Rain poured down on me and thunder boomed in the sky.
"Gods, someone probably insulted Zeus or something. This storm is insane, I bet it was Percy Jackson." Chuckled an older kid nearby.
"Yeah, isn't he Poseidens kid?" Another kid replied.
My eyes widened, there was another kid of the big three? How had I not known before? Maybe the Hermes kids know something about him. I hurried back to the Hermes cabin. The Stoll brothers were talking to some other cabin-mates about some pranks they could do to some Ares kids.
"Hey, Stolls, have a minute?" I asked walking over.
"Yeah, sure," Travis replied nervously.
I took them away from the other kids in the Hermes cabin.
"Do you know someone else that's a child of the "Big Three"?" I asked.
"Oh, you must be talking about Percy Jackson. Yeah, he's a child of Poseiden." Conner responded.
"So, I'm not the only one..." I looked at the ground.
"Is that a problem?" Travis asked.
"No, not at all." I shook my head looking up, "I'm just glad to not be the only one."
Conner and Travis walked away back to the bunk where the others were and continued discussing their plan.
I sighed, went back to my bunk, curled up and tried to sleep.
