Outmatched

I threw the multicolored ball into the air and waited for it to fall back down. I quickly summoned a magic ring and used the power of wind to blow the ball towards the man. The speed of the ball caught the man off guard and only left him a couple seconds to bring up his arms to defend himself.

The ball blew up on impact breaking the man's guard. I readied my fist to punch him but he quickly regained his guard and punched me across the face. I endured the pain and punched him across the face as well. I could hear the crack of his mask as he fell back.

The bottom part of his mask broke off revealing his smile. I tightened my fists and stayed back. I turned to see how Eli was doing and saw that his fight was going as well as mine.

I quickly turned back around to face my opponent and saw that he had lifted one of his hands and was aiming it at me. I suddenly began floating off the ground. I looked at the man and saw that his smile was even bigger than before. He swiped his hand to the right and I crashed into the wall. 'How the hell did he do that?' I thought to myself. I wiped the blood off my mouth and picked myself up.

I summoned another magic ring and shot out multiple fireballs at him. With quick and precise movement, the man cut each ball in half faster than I could see. The man straightened himself and looked towards Ren.

"Get out of here Ren. We have what we're looking for. I'll stay behind and have a little more fun with these kids." He said.

Ren kicked Eli away from him and ran towards the window. Before he jumped out he turned around to give us one last look before waving us goodbye.

I looked at Eli and noticed that he had a face of sudden shock. That shock soon turned to anger as he focused that anger on the masked man. He lifted up his hand and summoned a magic ring. Two more were summoned in front of that one and a small blue light appeared.

A large burst of energy shot out of the rings and was heading right towards the man in the mask. The man began to laugh as the beam got closer. With a simple swipe the beam turned around and was heading right towards us.

"Shield!" Eli's voice echoed through the room.

A giant shield appeared in front of us and blocked the beam. The shield soon disappeared revealing that the masked man was now gone. I collapsed on the ground and took a deep breath.

Two butlers suddenly came bursting into the room. They looked around and saw that everything was destroyed. They looked at Eli and saw that he had a bloody nose.

"They stole the diamond. We need to get it back as fast as possible." Eli said.
