Departure

"Well look who finally decided to show up." Alice said, watching me, Steven, and Fang all ran into the station.

"It's a maze out there and the maps don't help at all." Steven said, completely out of breath.

"The train will be here any minute now so let's save the small talk for the train, shall we?" Akari suggested.

We all let out a collective sigh before nodding our heads. It wasn't long after that when I began to feel the ground shake. I could hear a sound that would be impossible for me to try to explain.

A bright light suddenly appeared from the tunnel to the left of us, following by a loud "choo" if that makes any sense.

A giant carriage suddenly bursted out from the tunnel and stopped right at the station. Though I guess I couldn't really call this much of a carriage. It was more like a bunch of carriages attached to one giant one.

"Wow… have you three really never seen a train before?" Alice asked, looking at Emma, Steven, and me.

"No? How would we? It's not like there's one outside the tree." I responded.

Before any of us could get another word in, one of the doors to the cabin closest to the front of the train opened. A man wearing a crimson suit stepped out and onto the station and looked around. He suddenly gestured everyone to enter the train right as all the doors opened up.

"Wait, so are we allowed to enter the train now?" I asked.

"What do you think?" Alice responded, walking off towards the train.

"I guess that's a yes. Well let's not waste anymore time" I said, following closely behind Alice.

Right as we were about to enter, the man wearing the crimson suit blocked our paths and revealed his empty hand.

"I don't- what am I supposed to do?" I quickly turned to Alice in a panicked state.
