The End of the Metalbeard Pirates

"Freedom at last!" I shouted.

I started stretching my body the moment I left my cell. Metalbeard had kept my hands shackled to the wall so I hadn't been able to move much at all for these past couple of hours.

"Why were you the only one shackled to the wall?" Steven asked.

"Hell if I know. All I did was punch one of the guards who put me in here."

Steven and Emma both blankly stared at me.

"What?" I tilted my head.

"Nothing. Let's just focus on getting out of here." Steven turned towards the exit.

When we left the room I was immediately met with a man carrying a trident in one hand and Metalbeard in the other. Metalbeard was all tied up and unconscious.

"So these are your friends… the kid in the silver cloak looks familiar." The man said, staring at me.

"That's Aoi. Guild leader of Floor Twenty. He's the one who took down Metalbeard." Steven said.

This Aoi person said I looked familiar but I haven't met him a day in my life. He might be referring to Akira if he is actually a guild leader.

"Does Akira ring any bells?" I asked.

Aoi's eyes widened, "oh! You're Akira's little brother, aren't you?"

I nodded my head.

"I'd love to sit down and chat but I need to turn this guy in." Aoi said, raising Metalbeard up.

"Some other time then." I said.

"Oh, I heard from Morgan that he sent you all tickets for the Blue Voyager. Yeah thanks to Metalbeard over here that trip got delayed for a week. Feel free to explore the town in the meantime though."

"Well that's annoying." Alice said, crossing her arms.

"Oh, one last thing. Make sure to thank Steven, Emma, and that merchant outside. It's thanks to them I was even able to capture Metalbeard."

With that, Aoi waved us goodbye and walked out of the hideout.

"Did he say merchant?" Akari asked.

"Guess we'll just have to find out for our selves." I answered.
