Setting Off Towards the Mainland!

The bridge before us reached out into the thick fog, hiding where the bridge ended. To think a structure of this scale could even stay up was crazy. Regardless, this was the bridge that would lead us closer to our friends and to whoever was leading these monsters.

"Believe it or not it doesn't actually take that long to cross this bridge. The fog just makes it seem much longer than it already is." Bea said with a cheerful tone.

"Really?" I looked over at Bea with a raised eyebrow.

I guess it makes sense that she would know how long this bridge actually is. She did have to cross it to reach this island afterall.

"Any idea how long it'll take?" Steven asked, crossing his arms as he stared out into the fog.

Bea grew silent for a moment and pressed her fingertip against her chin, "It took me around half an hour I believe?"

Sheesh. An entire half an hour just to cross a bridge? To those who built this bridge, I commend you. It must've taken serious patience to build something of this scale.

"Well let's not wait any longer and go meet up with the rest of your friends, shall we?" Felix asked.

"Actually before that… Steven, open your magic bag for a sec." I asked, removing the two swords Takamori gave me after beating him.

"Something wrong?" Steven asked, opening up his bag like I asked him to.

"I just don't feel ready to use Takamori's swords. Honestly I don't even know if I want to use them." I said, placing both swords into Steven's magic bag.

Felix and Steven both gave me an odd look which made me feel weird. Something about using Takamori's swords just felt off to me even though he gave them to me.

"We good to go now?" Felix asked, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow at me.

I let out a small laugh, "yeah. Sorry about the wait."

Felix shook his head while Bea and Steven let out a small chuckle towards each other. Once that was all settled, the four of us turned our attention to the bridge again. Crossing this bridge would allow us to regroup with our friends and get closer to the one responsible for this. I tightened my hand into a fist for a moment, letting the pressure of our situation get to me for a brief moment before snapping out of it.

I took a deep breath before steeling my resolve, "let's go."
