I was seriously trying to think of ways to play this night out without having any problems. On one hand, I'd imagine that Hatsume would want to spend the entire night with me. On the other, I already KNOW that Momo was gonna spend the entire night with me. I think I can handle it, it shouldn't be too bad, right? After I got all dressed up for this dance, I made my way to the workshop. I'm assuming that's where Hatusme's at. Before I slid the door open, I readjusted my tie and almost grabbed the door handle, until Hatsume quickly slid it open herself.
"I had a feeling that you'd be here!" I laughed.
"Really? I guess I am kinda predictable!" She giggled.
I looked down at what she was wearing. It was just her regular, everyday clothes.
"Um... Hatsume... You do realize that this is a formal event, right?" I wondered.
"Yeah, I know," She sighed, "I don't really have anything formal to wear honestly! I'd imagine everyone else is done up for this dance already."
"Oh, well, that's alright! Hey, wait! I could help you with your makeup!" I beamed.
She tilted her head, "Eh? You can do makeup? Since when?"
"My older sister used to have me help her with her makeup when I was little. She taught me quite a lot, she told me that it would 'really impress a woman' when I got older. I guess you can say I know a thing or two about makeup." I replied.
Hatsume rushed over to a cabinet and pulled out a bunch of stuff. Foundation, eye shadow, lipstick, just a plethora of makeup! She laid them out on the table for me.
"Here we are! Never been touched before so they're brand spankin' new! I should really make a baby for this." Hatsume grinned.
I nodded at her and got to work.
[35 Minutes Later...]
"And... Dojyaaan! All done!" I smiled.
"Wow! So, this is what I look like with makeup?" Hatsume marveled.
"Come on, I'm sure everyone else is already at Gym Gamma!" I chuckled.
We walked out of her workshop and made our way towards Gym Gamma. Honestly, I was gonna make sure that she had a great time, since it was her first actual dance. As we arrived, the entire place was filled with students!
"Hey! Alyx!" I heard Deku shout.
I turned around and saw him waving at me. I walked over to them, they looked to my right and saw Hatsume standing next to me.
"W-Woah... Hatsume, you look fabulous! Who did your makeup?" Mina exclaimed.
"Oh, Alyx did! I didn't know he knew how to apply makeup!" Hatsume told her.
The girls' eyes all twinkled as their heads immediately turned to look at me. I rubbed the back of my head and laughed.
"I-It's nothing special, just a few things my sister taught me." I grinned.
Hatsume sat down next to Momo and I. Momo was wearing this beautiful red dress, she looked more beautiful than what she normally is! We talked back and forth, having an awesome time, then Momo looked over my shoulder. Her eyebrows slightly lowered, showing a bit of concern, I looked over and saw Hatsume unusually nonbubbly.
"ALLLLRIGHT GUYS, GALS, and OTHERS! We're gonna slow things down a little early, grab your sweetheart and get slooooooowwww daaanccciiinnggg!" Present Mic announced.
T-The slow dance thing was already happening?! Oh shit... What am I supposed to do now? I was hoping that it'd be later on tonight, not right now! I activated my Overdrive on my fingertips and used my telepathy.
"Momo, what am I-" I fretted.
"Take her up there, darling. I'll be fine, she looks like she's rather upset, go ahead." She replied.
I heard Mikaboshi's voice from behind me, "May I be of service to your maiden, Alyx?"
I turned around and saw Mikaboshi... Except he looked exactly like me! He smiled and nodded at me. I stood up and took Hatsume's hand.
"Let's go, I'm not gonna let this night be boring for you." I softly smiled.
"Ms. Yaoyorozu, if I may in place of Sir Leonidus, may I take your hand to participate in this 'slow dance'?" I heard Mikaboshi ask.
Hatsume smiled at me and we went to the dance floor. I showed her where to put her hands before we started.
(I.R.P.: Listen to "Voices from the Past" from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)
"Hey, I just wanted to say thank you. This has honestly been one of the funniest nights of my life." Hatsume told me.
"No problem, truth be told, I wasn't gonna take you in the first place. Or well, I was gonna talk to Momo first before I did anything. But when you told me that you've never been to a dance before, the sadness I saw in your eyes alongside your demeanor, I couldn't say no. It wouldn't have been right for me to say that. So, at the very least, I could offer you this for everything you've done for me." I revealed.
She looked down at my chest and smiled, we continued to move side to side slowly. It was honestly really relaxing, I faintly heard someone call my name.
"Alyx, you truly are a gentle soul, a soft-hearted gleam shines brightly around you. I'm truly proud to be called your ancestor." A man called out.
I glanced up and saw a shadow figure standing behind Hatsume. That must've been the man that reached out to me when I saw Nana Shimura!
"Hey, is everything alright? You aren't having a heart attack on me, are you?" She joked.
I broke out of my apparent trance, "I'm fine! I just spaced off there for a minute."
That man, who exactly was he? I wonder why he won't show himself to me. Maybe once I'm able to use my Overdrive again, I'll try and contact him, if he's even in the Seventh Plane. One thing's for certain, I'm fairly certain that I'd be seeing him again soon. Hatsume moved closer to me and put her head on my chest.
"I really hope you'll be able to do hero stuff soon. Everyone's been so worried about you, Alyx. Trust me, from everything Midoriya and Iida have told me, all of them can't wait for you to be back in action." Hatsume informed me.
I was feeling the same way as well, I honestly couldn't wait to use both of my Quirks again.
"Hey, do you think I could accompany you in the workshop? Mr. Aizawa told me to stay home being that I literally can't write anymore, neither can I participate in any training, I honestly would rather not be at home all day." I asked.
She immediately perked up and got in my face, "Can I test out some of my babies on you?!"
"Y-Yeah? I guess so!" I nervously laughed.
I could tell that there were thousands of things whizzing through that brain of hers. Would I regret this decision? Possibly, but it's better than sitting at home by myself.
[Several Hours Later...]
After the dance was over, I took Hatsume back to the Support Department's dormitory.
"That was super awesome! Thank you so much, Alyx!" She beamed.
"Hey, no problem. I'm just glad that I actually got you out of your workshop for once." I laughed.
She leaned forward and kissed me on the cheek, "See ya tomorrow, Alyx!"
Hatsume walked into the dormitory and I put my hand on my cheek. Huh, I guess that's her gift to me! I made my way back to the dorms; tonight was really fun. I actually managed to dance with Momo using one arm, which quite honestly, was really impressive to me! Once I got into the dorms, I dodged a high heel that implanted into the wall next to my head. I saw Kaminari on the ground with a rather angry Jiro, she was missing one high heel, that said heel would've been put right through my skull.
"You're lucky there's nobody in this place that can heal you, Denki." She fumed.
"What's going on?" I wondered.
Jiro looked up at me and her mood lightened.
"O-Oh, sorry, Alyx! Kaminari decided it would be hilarious to pull the back of my hair, isn't that right, Sparky?" Jiro replied.
Kaminari quickly nodded at the statement. I shook my head and smiled.
"Good grief..." I sighed.
I made my way up to the 5th floor, I saw Momo try and enter my room, but the door was locked. I walked up behind her and placed my hand on hers.
"You gotta turn it the other way, silly." I chuckled.
I opened the door to my room which caused Momo to fall forward, I quickly caught her and she opened her eyes.
"H-Huh...? Oh, sorry, darling. I guess I'm just tired." Momo yawned.
"You really haven't been sleeping, have you? We really do have things in common." I remarked.
We walked into my room and, albeit she was dozing off, I helped her take off her dress. It didn't look like it zipped up, then again, I'm assuming most dresses do. I went to my desk drawer and pulled out some makeup wipes for her. I undressed myself before slipping into my usual bed clothes. I sat down in front of her and helped her wipe off the makeup she had. Every so often, she would glance over at my closet.
"Are you wanting to wear one of my shirts?" I asked.
"Uh huh." She sleepily replied.
I took my shirt off and put it on her, she shook her head to move her hair away from her face. She yawned again and her head hit my shoulder. Then, she started snoring, she really must've been tired!
[The Next Day...]
"H-HOLY HELL!" I shouted.
I already knew that being in the workshop was gonna be a treat, I just didn't expect it to be THAT kind of treat! One of her inventions created an explosion that rattled the room!
"WHEW! THAT WAS AMAZING!" Hatsume exclaimed.
"H-How about we make something that doesn't explode, please?" I suggested.
"Gee, you're starting to sound like ole' Power Loader!" Hatsume noted.
I lowered my eyebrow, "Power... Loader?"
"Yeah, you're telling me you didn't know about him? He was the one running this workshop before letting me take over! Now I get to create all sorts of babies whenever I want! Within reason, of course." She explained.
No wonder this place was kept so organized beforehand... I guess Hatsume's putting out a lot more inventions since he passed it down to her. Hatsume walked over and threw a cloth off of something.
"Viola! How's it look?" She wondered.
I walked over and saw the arm she was making for me. Hagakure was right, it was a robotic looking arm! It looked fucking sick!
"Incredible... This is perhaps the best thing you've ever made! Everything looks so perfect on it!" I beamed.
"I'm glad you love it! I just need to do a few more tweaks and..." Hatsume replied.
She tinkered around with it for a bit before handing it to me, "...It's finished! Go on, try it!"
I nodded and placed it onto where my right arm would be. It latched onto my shoulder and I lifted my arm up. I bent it forwards and back down. I clenched and unclenched my fist.
"A-Amazing, it's like I never lost my arm at all! Now, if I can deal with this lung injury, everything'll be as right as rain!" I grinned.
"That arm is extremely durable! You won't be breaking it any time soon, I made sure of that!" Hatsume winked.
I honestly shouldn't doubt Hatsume, like, ever! The only problem now is fixing this lung problem of mine. It was lunch time and I was more than excited to show everyone my arm! Hatsume continued her invention making as I made my way down to the cafeteria. This was so weird, it felt like I just regrew my arm! I was amazed at how it could tell when I wanted to bend my fingers or create a fist. I entered the lunch room and saw everyone sitting down in our usual spot.
"Hey, guys!" I beamed and waved with my new right arm.
Everyone turned around and gleeful expressions lit up all of their faces. I sat down next to Kirishima and Bakugo.
"Dude, that looks badass! You wanna arm wrestle?!" Kirishima wondered.
I put my right arm up on the table, "You know it! I'm sure Hatsume would want me to test this thing out anyway."
Kirishima grabbed my hand and we counted to three. We both were at a stalemate for the first few seconds, then my arm started glowing in some spots and immediately brought his hand down to the table.
"Holy shit! That was amazing!" I marveled.
"Well, I'll be damned, that was quick." Bakugo smirked.
Kirishima and Deku asked me about the arm. I wasn't entirely sure on the specifics of what this arm could do, so I couldn't tell them a whole lot. There was one seat left open, where was Momo?
"Hey, where's Momo at?" I asked.
"Yaomomo? She doesn't eat lunch or well, she hasn't for quite a while." Jiro informed me.
I nodded and stood up from my chair, "I'm assuming she's in the classroom?"
Jiro nodded back; I left the table to head to her. The classroom wasn't too far from the cafeteria, so it wasn't that long of a walk. I slid open the 3-A door and peeked inside. There she was, sitting at her desk with a computer in front of her, she looked rather tired.
"Hey, Boshi, do your thing." I whispered.
I heard a snap and time stopped, I entered the classroom, I wonder what she was doing? I approached her and crouched down to see what she was doing. Momo was looking up different treatments for lung injuries. Was that why she barely slept? She was trying to figure something out for me all of this time... Something more than the treatments I was going through now. Time resumed once more after I pulled one of the desks closer to her, then I put my right arm around her. Momo quickly looked to her right, then looked over at me.
She gasped and smiled, "Y-You... Hatsume did it!"
Momo gave me a big hug as she laughed out of joy. I hugged her back, now with both arms, instead of just one.
