A/N: I gave Koda's mom a name and guessed where he would live.

---

During the train ride, Mika looked out the window; when they saw Koji's hometown, she was in awe. Mika saw many things, from the people walking on the sidewalks to the forests around the area.

Mika even saw big cherry blossom trees in a park and a mountain behind the city. Mika turned away from the window and sat down; Koji turned to her, "Wh-What do you think?" he asked.

Mika turned to Koji and smiled, "It's lovely; it feels calm and relaxing." she said, "I can see where you get your love of nature." Koji smiled a bit, "Arrived at Kitakami city." the intercom said. They got out of their seats and gathered their belongings.

When Mika walked out of the train, she started shivering. Mika placed her belongings on the ground and rubbed her arms, "J-Jeez... should've known it would be cold in the springtime..." she said lowly.

Koji noticed it and opened his bag; he pulled out a black coat with yellow buttons. Koji placed it on Mika's shoulders, surprising her, "Would this help?" he asked; she slowly nodded, "Y-Yeah, it helps..." she said. Mika turned to Koji, "But what about you?" she asked.

Koji shook his head, "It's fine, I'm used to these kinds of temperatures." he said, "You should probably button it up, it might get a lot colder."

Mika nodded as she got her arms in the sleeves and buttoned the coat up. Mika felt like she was wearing a big, comfy winter dress. Mika blushed a bit and tried hiding her face in the coat, "Thank you, Koda." she said.

Koji blushed a lot and nodded, "N-No problem..." he said. Koji quickly looked forward, "W-We should get to my place before it gets dark." he continued.

Mika nodded as she grabbed her belongings, "Lead the way." she said. Koji nodded and started walking; Mika followed behind him.

When they arrived at Koji's home, Mika was surprised about it. The house was green with a bit of yellow on the window frames. The house also had bird feeders hanging from the portico, a table with a plate on it, and two chairs.

Koji rubbed his arm, "I-I know it's something you're not used to, but-" when he turned to Mika, he noticed she was smiling. Mika clapped her hands together, "It looks lovely." she said, "I get a comforting vibe off of your home."

Koji blushed a bit and looked forward, "T-Thanks..." he said lowly. Mika picked her belongings up, "We better get inside." she said, "Don't want to catch a cold during our internship." Koji nodded, "Right." he said as they walked up the stairs.

As they reached the door, Koji got his keys and unlocked the door; he held it open, "Ladies first." he said. Mika smiled, "Thank you." she said as she entered Koji's house.

Mika looked around and saw that it the inside was just as comforting as it was outside. Mika laid her luggage on the floor and unbuttoned the coat. Koji closed the door behind them and took his shoes off.

After Mika took the coat off, she took her shoes off too. After they took their shoes off and set it to the side, Mika heard footsteps in the kitchen, making Koji nervous.

Mika saw a woman with a similar mutation to Koji's mutation, but she had a lighter skin tone, yellow hair, and horns coming out of her head; she wore a pink dress and a white apron.

She had a big smile when she saw Mika next to Koji, "I take it you're Lyoko, dear." she said. Mika nodded, "That's me." she said; she held her hand out to the woman, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Koda." she continued.

The woman smiled as she walked towards Mika and held her hand. Before Mika could shake, the woman pulled her into a hug, surprising her, "No need to be formal, call me Tsunoji." she said as she hugged her tighter, "It's so great to finally meet you." Mika smiled a bit and returned the hug.

They separated, "My son has talked a lot about you and they were wonderful things." Tsunoji said. Mika was surprised, "Really?" she asked; when she turned to Koji, he covered his face in embarrassment.

Tsunoji placed her hands together, "How about we talk more about it over dinner." she said. Mika smiled and nodded, "Sounds good." she said, "I'm hungry after a long day." Tsunoji smiled and guided Mika to their dining room; Koji followed them soon after with a blush.

They sat at the dining room eating the food Tsunoji made; she turned to Mika, "Lyoko, if you don't mind me asking, but when did you two first meet." she said smiling.

Mika turned to Tsunoji, "It was during the entrance exam." she said, "I sat next to him during the explanation and talked to him. Afterwards, we hang out together during lunch and after class."

Tsunoji smiled, "Is that so?" she said; when she turned to Koji, she noticed he was blushing, "Well knowing my little Koji, how did you communicate with him?" she asked.

Mika rubbed the back of her neck and blushed a bit, "I did what I thought was best and wrote on a piece of paper." she said, "I noticed that he was nervous, so I thought it would help calm him down. We used that piece of paper for conversation during the explanation."

Mika looked at Tsunoji, "And before the test, he used sign language." she continued, "At first I was shocked, but I was relieved because I thought I would only use sign language just to understand my mom."

Tsunoji was shocked, "I didn't know your mother was deaf." she said, "I apologize for that." Mika shook her head, "It's alright." she said.

Mika turned to Koji and smiled, "I'm just glad I can use sign language for communicating with my friends." she continued; his face was red, and he slowly nodded.

Tsunoji smiled, "Well then, we have a bit of more time before you two have to get some sleep." she said, "What do you plan to do?" Mika stretched her arms, "Well... I was thinking about taking a shower." she said.

Tsunoji nodded, "Go ahead! Our house is your house for the week." she said. Mika nodded and got out of her seat; she walked towards her luggage. Mika got on her knees and opened her luggage; she looked through it. Mika got frustrated and laid her head on her bag, "Crap..." she said lowly.

Tsunoji looked at Mika, "Something wrong, dear?" she asked. Mika got her head off her bag and turned to them, "I guess I was too excited for traveling to the Tohoku region that I forgot to pack my pajamas." she said.

Tsunoji smiled and placed her hands together, "Then, how about you wear one of my son's pajamas." she said, making them look at her. Mika blushed a bit and quickly waved her hands, "N-No, it's alright!" she said, "I-I'll just wear one of the long-sleeved clothes I brought with me."

Tsunoji shook her head, "I know this region, and it's supposed to be cold tonight." she said, "You probably want something warm and cozy to wear during the night, right?"

Mika's face was red; she looked at the ground, "I-I guess..." she said lowly, "I-If he's fine with it, t-then I don't mind." Tsunoji smiled and turned to Koji, "Do you mind if Lyoko wears one of your pajamas?" she asked; his face was red too.

Koji got out of his seat, "I-I don't mind..." he said lowly; he walked towards the staircase and went upstairs. When Koji returned, he had one of his pajama shirts and one of his pajama pants in his hands.

Koji walked towards Mika and got on his knees, "H-Here you go, Lyoko." he said. Mika looked at Koji and took the pajamas out of his hands, "T-Thank you, Koda." she said lowly. Tsunoji smiled and guided Mika to their bathroom.

After Mika got out of the shower, she changed into the pajamas Koji gave her. It was a green, long-sleeved shirt with a cat in the center, and the pants were brown with a flannel pattern.

Mika looked at the long mirror and adjusted the clothes. Mika blushed a bit, "I figured this would be something he would wear." she said, "At least it's comfy... and it's cute."

Mika left the bathroom and went downstairs; she put her dirty clothes back in her luggage. When Mika stood up and turned around, she saw Tsunoji holding a futon, "Here you are, Lyoko." she said.

Mika nodded and moved her luggage out of the way; Tsunoji laid the futon on the ground. Mika turned to Tsunoji and bowed, "I thank you for allowing me to stay at your place." she said.

Tsunoji turned to Mika and smiled, "No need for that, dear." she said, "I always welcome my son's friends." Mika stood up properly and smiled a bit, "I'm kind of curious, what are your feelings towards my little Koji?" Tsunoji asked.

Mika rubbed the back of her neck and blushed a bit, "He's a great guy." she said, "He has a caring nature and a kind heart to people and animals. Whenever I'm sad, he's there to cheer me up. If I haven't met him, my life would be dull."

Tsunoji nodded, "Do you think of him as just a friend, or more than that?" she asked. Before Mika could say anything, she felt a tug on her pajama pants. Mika looked down and saw a white rabbit pulling on her pajama pants.

Mika was shocked and got on her knees after the bunny let go of her pajama pants, "I didn't know Koda had a pet." she said. Tsunoji smiled, "Yep! This is Koji's pet bunny, Yuwai-chan." she said. As Mika petted Yuwai, he pulled on her sleeve, making her tilt her head.

Tsunoji smiled, "It looks like Yuwai-chan wants you to go upstairs with him." she said. Mika nodded as she looked at Yuwai, "Alright little guy, lead the way." she said smiling. Yuwai lets go of Mika's sleeve and hopped towards the stairs; she got up and followed him.
