"I'm excited, a little road trip," said Peter looking out the window.
"That's right," smiled Ms. Shelly.
So they turned up the radio and windows rolled down and started singing their favorite songs and snacking. Along the way, they saw many big houses on hills, old barns, fences, small towns, and lots of cattle, sheep, and a few goats. Finally, Peter fell asleep as Shelly was still driving. When they reached the outskirts of Oklahoma they stopped to get a buffalo burger and eat it on the way to the new foster family.
"Wow it is nice here, look at the green grass, the houses are big and so close together," said Peter.
"Yes they are, this is where you are going to live," said Ms. Shelly.
"Wow," amazed Peter.
The foster mother was waiting outside with two other children they had, while the foster father was working.
"Alright guys, behave, and make him feel comfortable," smiled the new foster parent.
"We will," said Martha.
"Good," said the foster parent, she saw Ms. Shelly and she started waving.
"Is that them?" asked Peter.
"Yes it is, and those are two more foster kids that she has," smiled Ms. Shelly.
"Hi Ms. Shelly," said the two kids running towards the car.
"Hi guys, oh my you've both had grown a lot, this is Peter he is going to be staying with you," smiled Ms. Shelly.
"Hello I'm Martha and this is Haskel," shaking Peters' hand.
"Hello Martha, I'm Peter Wolf."
"Haskel Rainwater nice to meet you," said Haskel.
"Peter Wolf, nice to meet you," said Peter.
"Alright Peter, give me a hug you be a good boy now," said Ms. Shelly.
"I will and thank you," said Peter.
"You're very welcome," said Ms. Shelly.
Shelly got in her car and blew a kiss towards Peter and drove off.
"Alright guys, let's help Peter get settled in," smiled Mrs. Donna.
So the kids helped Peter bring his belongings to his new room.
"Thank you, I love this room it's pretty nice," said Peter unloading his stuff.
"Yeah, so what do you like to do for fun?" asked Haskel.
"Well lots of things, I like exploring and making new friends," said Peter.
"Hey we like exploring too," said Martha.
"Do you have paper, I would like to write a few letters to some people?" asked Peter.
"Sure let me go get some from my room," said Martha.
"Oh good thank you," said Peter.
"Here is a cup of pens, you can use this table," said Martha.
"Thank you," smiled Peter.
"Your welcome," smiled Martha.
"Ms. Donna, do you have envelopes, Peter is writing a letter to a few people?" asked Haskel.
"I sure do let me go get them," said Mrs. Donna.
So Mrs. Donna went into her office and grabbed two envelopes and two stamps and gave them to Haskel. Haskel took them and ran to Peters's room.
"Here you go," handed Haskel to Peter.
"Thank you, Haskel," said Peter.
"Your welcome," smiled Haskel.
"Come on Haskel let's go and let him write his letters," said Martha.
"Okay we'll be in the living room watching television," said Haskel.
"Okay thank you," said Peter.
So Martha and Haskel left Peters's room and to the living room to watch television while Mrs. Donna was doing more paperwork.
"Dear Ms. Kacey and best friend Jared, just wanted to let you know I'm in Oklahoma now, the foster mom is very nice, have not met the husband just yet, he is still working. She has two other children that she fosters. Martha and Haskel Rainwater, he's also a native. It was fun on the way up here, Ms. Shelly rolled down the windows and turned up the music while driving. I'm excited and I can't wait for them to show me around. I already miss you both, I will write again soon," Peter.
He signed his letter and put it in the envelope and stamped it and went to Mrs. Donna's office for her to mail it. When she goes to the mail-office.
"Is this the letter?" asked Mrs. Donna.
"Yes it is, would you mind dropping this at the post office?" asked Peter.
"I will do it tomorrow when it opens," smiled Mrs. Donna.
"Thank you," said Peter walking to the living room.
The phone rang, Mrs. Donna went to the kitchen and answered.
"Hello, this is Mrs. Donna?"
"Hello Mrs. Donna, we have some papers here that was sent to us by the Indian school in South Dakota." said the secretary.
"Oh, so I am guessing he's already enrolled in your school then, "said Mrs. Donna.

"You do," said Peter.
"You are going to school with Martha and Haskel, that was the secretary they told me she has all your stuff from your old school and you start tomorrow morning," said Mrs. Donna.
"Oh boy that is great, I can't wait," excited Peter.

"Cool that's great, you'll get to go to school with us," said Martha.
"Also you'll ride the bus, you can sit with us," said Haskel.
"Cool," smiled Peter.
So they continued to watch television until bedtime.
