After the Gerpacio’s case was solved and due to Lanie’s wish, everything turned back into the right places. Lanie forgot everything that was connected to that massacre and also the people she met during those times. And vice versa.

The Only Witness

"W-what d-do you m-mean?" Althea still couldn't speak so well because of her condition.

"Jake is innocent. He has nothing to do with… " Lanie looked at Althea's injuries.

"I'm sorry we put you in this situation. Ondreaz Jaquinto will come to the people around me because of Gerpacio's case. And… I put one of those people in danger again. Thankfully, Penelope went to you immediately when she saw…" She stopped. Althea didn't know their powers and extraordinary abilities. "Anyway, you should rest. You are safe now." she continued and fixed Althea's blanket.

Althea closed her eyes and relaxed herself. She just woke up and her whole body felt numb and she felt really tired. For sure once the anesthesia is gone, she will feel the pain.

Lanie knew that Althea still needed to rest. She nodded and sighed. She will just ask her later if she wants to talk to Jake.
