[The Dueling Exam: Arc 11]
[Planet Earth - Fortune Island - Fortune Woods - Sunday 1:32 p.m.]
The sweeping edge of a sharp katana sang through the sky when the electrical bolt trappered itself in front of the blade, a sharp and deadly cut of electricity was sent toward Codey, standing in front of Ellie, fully prepared, with his arms softened near his knees. Seeing that the cut was heading into his direction allowed him to make a move, skipping a step to the side when opening his right palm and aiming it directly at Ellie. "Wind Blast!" Codey claimed a spectacular moment and unleashed a pulse of blasting wind, causing him to be pushed a few meters back because of the force, provided by the attack.
Ellie, swimming through the air with electrical current noticed that and instantly crossed and covered his face, feeling how the pressure of the wind stunned him in mid air, blocking him from landing and keeping him at bay. But in the same moment, Codey already swung with his left arm, throwing a sharp and deadly boomernag that Ellie could not avoid, so instead he proceeded with a quick draw of the blade and letting himself to counter the boomerang, bouncing him away and risking his dropping to where he landed on the back and rolled backward, creating a line of electricity and then circled it around his feet. "Provoked Thunder!" Codey swung with his left hand, catching his bounced boomerang when getting a bit confused about what Ellie was doing.
Ellie twisted his blade when the circle below his feet unleashed a yellow barrier of electricity that was spinning at quick speed, but in that moment, Ellie cut straight forward and unleashed multiple bolts of currents, that went flying at Codey, speedy.
Codey how ever quickly used his Wind Blast again to defend himself and combine the yellow electricity and his own wind into full particles that then struck obliquely after the wind spread, blowing the grass, bushes and leaves aside, causing a shorter hurricane.
Finally Ellie switched positions and appeared in front of Codey, cutting at his neck and trying to cut his badge, but on the other hand, Codey backed away when Ellie's swing finalised, a yellow cut was once again sweeped from the sides and its force allowed it to cut an entire trunk of a tree, splitting it and halving it, once finished, Codey landed in the distance. ("He's so well focused onto his emission of Kineticism that his normal attacks are almost useless in combat, I haven't seen many casual attacks, mostly lightning and speed." Claimed Codey, thinking, giving a serious look at Ellie he turned his blade above his shoulder and awakened another combination of yellow electricity, that simply surrounded his blade and arms.
("His movements are mostly reliable on speed and offense, the defense structuring his Type is impossible to be perfected. Electricity puts a load on his body, he may be able to emit it throughout his body in total, however, once it is released, he has not got the skill to compromise its damage, this is why he prefers to stay away from using his martial arting.... it was seethrough the moment he used his electricity, it's similar to Tim, his body structure is efficient in emitting fire, but if he uses them too much.... It is bound to harm himself, this is why he prefers to use blade arts, or pyrokinesis would make him an easy target, this is why I should this to my advanatage in fully.") Codey moved his boomerangs aside and efficently provoking his wind gesture. ("Depending on the situation. he has physical capabilities awakened more than I, myself for once. But, reading his movements is something that'll help me fight him dead on. Furthermore, failing on the other hand is another worry, if I get too close, I could be risking my badge getting cut off or grabbed, but if I keep at a distance, he'll just constantly avoid without a sweat.... that's why speed compared to throwable objects is bad for me in current state.") Thought Codey, quite dead on his plan. ("Guess this is truly the only option, but wait..... there is second option that could potentially let me grab that badge, is to hide in the forest and wait for him to pass by, then strike from the shadows. However, it would be no surprise if he'd to avoid it. He is simply quite skilled in reflexes as well.... So the big question of the day; which should I choose?") Instantly, Ellie came in collision with Codey when holding his katana, past his right hip in righty, once circling the katana upward, besides his face. "Roar of Thunder." Codey, who has heard the echo in Ellie's voice had his body leaned back with the right foot forward. ("What is he planning to do?") While Codey was kept in thoughts, he swung his right hand forward. ("Is he going to colide me from the front, or is he planning to use a spiritual attack, I can't tell, his eyes won't give out!") But, in the instance to when Codey was about to create a collision with his right arm, Ellie swirled with yellowness as Codey's eyes came to a shake.
("I got it! He's going to attack me from the front with pure force and speed! Of course!") But when Codey tried, yellow light appeared behind Codey, his eyes trembled when using his left eye to notice it. ("From behind! How is that even possible? I've felt the warmth of his clothes in the line of my palm grip, how did he manage to slip behind me like so?")
"Thinking makes you lose your guard and makes you lose any expectations, this is why you should always focus onto the flow of the battle, not the flow of your mind, especially not while in the middle of getting attack." Ellie's voice went zooming through Codey's ears, in and out. ("Thinking, makes me lose? There isn't a way that I'd lose due to thinking! It's the only way I managed to learn so many things in such a short time. If I haven't been thinking from the moment I've met Tim, then how would have I ever manage to get so close to his level in power? Exactly, I would never be able to do that, and still, to this day, Tim's one step ahead of me, only for a breath while...") Once again, thinking in his mind Codey noticed the momentum of Ellie's katana, ready to be cut down. ("I can tell, this is not an ordinary attack! It's filled with fully absrobed electricity, and it's ready to cut at me.") In that instant... ("This is why I won't lose to the likes of you!") Codey faced at him and swung with both of his hands when leaning his head to the side and using his palms to grab Ellie's clothes, ready to get cut. ("If I didn't think! Would I be manage to do this!") With full force Codey's eyes glowed red and the hurricane of winds began to gather around him, cracking the floor. "Go and become a plank, pinged on the ground!" With full force the berserkeful wind surrounded and caused Ellie's hair to wave back in sync with his clothes. "The hell are you doing?!" Ellie shouted, when releasing a spark from his blade. With full force Codey raised Ellie over his head when Codey's voice roared into the surrounding area, forcing to proceed with loud utterances. "I don't plan to lose to someone like you!" With full force Codey forced Ellie's green jacket to be blown through the air from the wind's pressure and pressing the heavy wind onto Ellie's chest when the circular angle of the throw allowed Codey to slam Ellie on the floor, over his head, and his back felt pain when the katana went swinging, however soon in that moment.
Yellow electricity went bursting and a badge was cut loose.
[Planet Earth - Fortune Island - Fortune Woods - Sunday 1:35 p.m.]
Kylin who has been rushing through the woods at incredible speed was on the lookout to hopefuly find Shin. "This is absolutely unacceptable. How can I not find my target, this forest is not even so large. Maybe it's because of how heavy it is with covered leaves? But still, he shouldn't be this hard to find, I'm not expecting him to be hiding, nor am I expecting him to 'not' look for his target." Claimed Kylin, fully discouraged to the likes of this combat exercise.
Landing with her feet on the branch of the trees.
("Not just that. The forest isn't that huge. I haven't found even one target or human in the woods at all, before earlier. But that was just momentarly. Am I just looking at the wrong corner of this forest... no, I don't believe it, when I was near middle, I've rarely seen anyone as well. Christ, finding the target is the true test of this exercise... However, this will not stop me.") But in that moment, Kylin came in view of Tim who held his arm, which made her open her eyes surprised. "Tim!" With hearing a female voice, Tim looked up, seeing how Kylin came dropping down with her arms raised up, rolling on the ground and coming next to Tim. "Kylin..."
"What happened to your arm?" With confusing look, Tim seemed to be a bit upset, facing to the sides. ".... Guess since you're here I may as well tell you. It's broken, happened at the end of fighting Kyou." Tim explained. ".... Does this mean that Kyou is your target, who you must defeat?" Questioned Kylin, giving Tim a severe look. ".... Yeah, exactly." Answered Tim. "... There you are, I've found you." In that instant, Tim faced ahead, and so has Kylin. ("It's Shin! That's the target! What does he mean with that? Am I his target? No, it's Tim, but how is he supposed to fight Shin with broken arm?") Wondered Kylin, looking at Tim from the side with her eyes surprised and a sweat dripping down her right cheek, with a bit of her mouth rounded. ".... Guess I'm your target. This is just great, exactly what I was hoping for." Tim said with his mouth shaking. "I'd like to stand by and ask you - what happened to your arm, how did it get broken in fight against Kyou, didn't you use your Ginken?" Shin wondered with his arms crossed at his chest. ("I'm not sure if he knows about me having 'Nensho' as my weapon, and even if he doesn't, I do not wish to risk getting hunted by him...") Tim believed. ("I know that this test is about stealing someone's badge, but I shouldn't leave Tim fighting this guy with one of his arms broken... And I know that, Shin is my target.... but if Tim fights, there is no chance he can defeat him with only one of his hand. And the arm that Tim usually uses the sword, is the one broken....") Wondered Kylin facing forward.
"Tim Shinkaku, correct? I know we've been chatting lately and I believe I know why you did not want to use your weapon, it may or may not be, due to it being the exact weapon several of them hunt it down. I can tell you, that weapon is truly legendary and I'm realy not interested into it, in reality, my goal is to adventure out to the areas of where licenses are needed, that is really my only goal. And if I must be fighting you, then that's necessary..." Explained Shin, but Kylin then soon shook her hand when the sword came spinning from aside of her hip. She caught the handle and swung it behind her with her left hand in front of her. "Kylin? What are you doing?" Tim wondered in confusion. "Are you really going to fight an opponent that is already it his weakened state? If you ask me, that's unfair from you and it's a way to easily get someone's badge. To get to his badge, first, fighting me will be absolutely needed by you. If you don't fight, then I'll escape with him, thanks to my speed, but if you do fight, defeating me is the only option you'll be able to get to his badge." Called Kylin, serious. "Kylin... the hell are you doing? You should be focusing on obtaining your target's badge. If I must fight him, then I'll do it. Don't waste your time on protecting me!" Tim ordered, looking at her from aside. ("... I'm glad he doesn't know who my target is. Cutting Shin's badge, or obtaining it.... I'll do it, I'll do it and if it means protecting Tim at the same time.") Soon at that moment, Tim sighed. "I'm not wasting my time, he's after your badge anyway, and if something happens to your entire body structure and to all of your limbs, you won't be able to continue this exam." Explained Kylin.
"This is why I'll fight as your shield for the time being, until we don't find Ayuka so that she can heal your arm."
To be continued...
