Chapter 22

Christal spends the next few days just cleaning up the building making it livable once more. She discovered hidden passages and old traditions that the dragon queen once kept.

Christal found that she learned more and more about the role of the dragon queen every day.

Nylla was spending time with the dragons on the island and to Crystal, it seemed that Nylla had finally claimed down having found a place to call home.

Chrystal one day found a book that looked like a diary. Crystal read the book and learned one of the secrets that had been kept from her.

It was said that the black stone was sealed withing the Golsend palace.

Crystal went to the library and searched for information about the dark stone and found that it was only described as a black diamond with no power. It was said to be a gift from the king to the queen of dragons to celebrate a wedding anniversary.

Crystal thought that maybe she was reading about the wrong black stone and search the library only to find information on another black stone but this one was described as evil.

It was said that the power was so dangerous any person will die from just looking at it.

She learned that the first dragon queen destroyed the stone at the cost of her life and that a statue of her was built in her honour. The first dragon elders wanted to make sure no one would ever forget the queen that gave her life to protect the world.

Crystal wonders where the statue was now and decided to go and look for the location on the island. She discovered the statue in the centre of the island and the word written on it said, 'may what was never happening again'.

A loud roar came from the sky and Crystal realised they had company but instead of running towards the roar she decided to see who arrived next.

The man that landed was her seposed to be a father. She took a deep breath and walked away from the dragon and his rider towards Nylla.

"The intruder is my father, somehow I don't what to see him," Crystal told Nylla. "We knew they would find us but I didn't realise it would be this soon," Nylla said.

"I think I found what they are so afraid of," Crystal said. "What do you mean?" Nylla asked. "It's a black stone believed to have the power to destroy, there are only two references to it in the library one is a black diamond gifted from the king to the queen of dragons the second is related to a story about the first queen of dragons who gave up her life in order to destroy the stone."

Nylla looked at Crystal and asked, "so all this over a black diamond with no power." Crysta shook her head and said, "It seems that way but when I looked threw the buildings I didn't find any black diamonds anywhere." Crystal said.

"It was maybe destroyed during the destruction of Golsend," Nylla said.

"Yes, but I thought diamonds couldn't be destroyed?" Crystal asked. Crystal and her team kept hiding for as long as they could and soon it became dark and Thunder raised the storm once more.

Crystal made her way towards the building sensing that the riders had left the kingdom. Crystal made a warm fire and sat next to it trying to warm up.

"There you are you, stupid girl," a voice came. Crystal shocked did what came first and accidentally blasted the rider with her power. "What do you want?" Crystal shouted.

Nylla grew anger and fought the riders dragon injuring it. Her ability to use multiple elements caused fire and lighting to breath threw the building and Crystal was now staring at rider.

"Don't you know how dangerous it is to ambush a crystal dragon's rider?" Crystal shouted. The man got up and shouted at his dragon, "kill the dragon, ill kill the rider."

Crystal knew she was in trouble and soon became aware of a really dark force close by." Crystal focused on her power and fought the rider with everything that she had, Starmist came to assist Crysta and somehow they managed to beat the rider.

Nylla defeated the riders dragon and used the power of the aurora to warn all those close by that she will not lose to a challenge.

Crystal looked at Nylla who was bleeding and Starmist who was exhausted. "Go back to were you came from this is not your home or your land."

Crystal shouted at the rider and the storm dragons removed the rider and his dragon for the kingdom. Crystal tended to the wounded dragons first and then to herself.

The next day she woke up feeling really sore and decided to go and check on everyone that was injured. Crystal found that one of the dragons didn't make it and another was poisoned.

"That dragon must have been some kind of poison dragon. Crystal went to the library to look for an antidote only to find almost every book was completely destroyed.

Crystal felt lucky when she found the book on dragon illnesses and poisons. She saw what was needed and went looking for the medicine and gave it to the dragon. "They destroyed everything the library the treasures in the trone room. Even the fruit trees and gardens that carried vegetables" Crystal said.

Starmist came towards them and said, "Most of the grass has been burned, there nothing left." Crysta looked towards the dragons and asked, "They didn't by any chance destroy all your food as well did they."

Thunder looked around and said, "No we have some left and decided we can always hunt fish, it seems they didn't get to the other side of the island maybe you'll find food there," Thunder said.

Crystal and Starmist walked most of the day to get there and got there to find they had more then enough to eat. Crystal decided there and then to start making preparations to store food at secret locations incase the riders destroy the island.

She remembered how and elf thought her an old and ancient way of drying fruits, vegetables and meat she also found ways to harvest grass and tied them with a rope that she found.

Crystal worked hard over the next few weeks to not only build the secret places but also to make sure she was the only one that knew where these locations were. Crystal also decided that it would be best if she didn't stay in any of the old structures and build her own home.

The dragons had dug out a few dragon stables that was underground and Crystal found ways to make sure that the dragons always had fresh weather flowing into there stables.

Crystal one day told Nylla to destroy the buildings in and around town. "Make sure you make it look like a dragon in rage destroyed the town," she said. "Why Crystal?" Thunder asked.

"No man is going to come into a dragons home if it might cost them there life besides the dragon rider might tell the kingdoms on the outside I'm dead and then we can find out what the truth is without anyone stopping us" Crystal said.

Thunder thought about the suggestion and agreed to help. What Crystal didn't know was destroying the buildings would reveal a part of forgotten history that was never meant to be forgotten and in daylight after all the smoke cleared Crystal looked at the statue of the brave queen and learned that the first queen was one of the elve princesses.

"The reason i am a descended of elves is because i am related to her." Crystal said looking at Thunder.

"I didn't think that was possible." Thunder said. "That's what Forest wanted to show me, he wanted to show me i am an elve descended the dragon queen is an elve descended and there are things that only elve royalty can do. It means that there is a task that only I can do."

Crystal told Thunder. Crystal looked around the statue and found a hidden box and opened the box. Inside she found the corner stoned the red and green beryl and a rainbow stone.

"If the real stones are here then where did Eione get the red beryl from. "Crystal asked.

Starmist realised the horrible truth, "he must have stolen the stone for the kingdom of Callion. Eione must have found a way to create another stone." Starmist said.

Thunder looked at Starmist and said, "The sad part is, the kingdom of Golsend had to fall for his lies." Thunder said.

"The dragons was angry but so was Starmist and Crystal to felt angry and decided that it would be best if things was restored to what they were. "Lets restore these stones to there original places so that you guys can have a brake okay." Crystal said
