Chapter 38

Crystal decided to see what she could find in the valley that she might be able to turn into a home and soon enough she found plenty of dead trees that didn't have any use at all.

She and her team cut down those trees and with Nylla's help, she moved all the trees to the cave she would soon be calling her new home. She also went to visit Ferrum who helped her brake several stones to fill the back of the cave up so that no intruders could ever come into the valley that way.

Crystal spends every free moment cutting down and building a home for herself and when ever she cut down a tree she planted two in its place. She understood that taking care of the land is very important and vowed to keep looking after the land.

The trees and wood she didn't us building her home and a stable for Starmist she used to build fences to keep the livestock animals save. She also used several rocks with Ferrums help to build a fence separating the valley from the village. She also chose a meeting place for the dragon and mythical creatures. This meeting place would only be used when a meeting a problem needed to be solved. Crystal managed to create a huge bowl an in the centre she placed the red beryl and green beryl creating the flame that she now saw as a peace symbol and a promise that together they would overcome any problem.

The five ancient dragons that guarded the pillars arrived at the flame followed by the ancient dragon's guarding several towers and it was with there arrival that Crystal told them what this place was and all agreed that it was one of the best decisions Crystal had made so far.

Crystal was surprised to see prince Leon had arrived one morning and showed him what she had done. He supported her decision and said, "I would like to help you in any way I can."

Crystal was glad that the Prince agreed to help her and she soon told him of her plans for the village and the are she wanted to use for injured dragon and other creatures.

"You are going to need help healing the amount you are preparing to heal here," Prince Leon said. "Yes, and I will need help building this village, they do need homes you know but there is a catch for every tree we cut down we have to plant at least two in its place," Crystal said.

"Who came up with that idea?" the prince said. "I, that way we're not destroying the forest and were giving back more then we are taking besides I don't know how we're going to build a home without taking from nature," Crystal said.

"That is not such a bad idea," prince Leon said. Crystal and Prince Leon was talking about what can be done now and what needs to be done later when they heard a loud crashing sound.

They investigated carefully and saw it was a dark dragon fighting another dragon. "That's my little brother, Furry come I need you!" the prince shouted. "Starmist, Nylla come to me now!" Crystal called and she started to saddle Nylla. "Starmist please keep guard over the entrance, I am going to help Prince Leon I cant let the dark dragons discover this valley," Crystal said as she mounted and took off towards the sky.

Nylla took off very fast she breathed fire at the dark dragon only to be attacked by another one and instantly Crystal realised they were surrounded. Crystal knew they were in trouble and closed her eyes to calm down. Then she felt flames around her and she opened her eyes and knew what to do.

Nylla flew high up into the sky and burned down on a black dragon injuring him in the process. The fight attracted a lot of attention and Starmist was worried that the valley might be discovered and used her powers to hide the valley even more but as more riders arrived to fight the dark dragon more ancient dragons arrived to guard the entrance to the valley.

The fight continued for hours, many got injured and Nylla did what she could to defeat the dark dragons. Crystal herself had used a lot of power and was forced to land on more than one occasion to take a short break, of course, this was only natural since she wasn't used to fighting other dragons for such a long period of time.

The sun was setting and the dark dragons defeated returned from where ever they came. Crystal landed only to noticed how many of the riders came to help. A man in royal armour came over to Crystal, "on behalf the kingdom of Eternia I thank you for helping my son's on this fight, I am King Leo the third."

Crystal looked at the king and said, "no problem, I am glad I can help." Crystal was glad that no one found the dragons but seeing how many got injured in the fight she could only imagine if the fight's that is still to come.

Prince Leon came over to Crystal and asked, "are you okay?" Crystal looked at the prince and said, "there are some ancient dragons that predict this war will be the worst in history, I can only hope that we will be ready when the time comes."

The Prince looked at Crystal and was about to say something when an ancient dragon arrived at the valley's entrance and in her mouth she had a snow-white dragon egg. Crystal saw five more dragons that carried a dragon egg and realised she needed to move fast. "Starmist go get Sophie to tell her to hurry," Crystal shouted and it wasn't long before Sophie arrived.

Seeing the dragon eggs on the ground she checked them and said, "they are too cold we need to warm them up as much as possible. Nylla arrived and said, "there are injured dragons offshore two elders and one more anchent they have been poisoned."

Crystal took a deep breath and knew she now needed a lot of help and rushed into the valley she quickly got a area ready for the eggs and with the help of several riders she placed the eggs on the straw. Sophie knew how to get the eggs warm again and after Crystal made sure the mother isn't injured she started preparing for the other injured dragons.

Crystal got on Nylla and found the injured dragons but now the problem was how to get them to the valley she also noticed how many other injured dragons there was and all of them was poisoned.

"I am suddenly wishing that I was better prepared for this emergency," Crystal told Prince Leon. "How can we help?" the prince asked. "Okay, i need someone to start mixing the antidote for the poisoned dragons. The dragons we will be treating is the once here and the three out there" Crystal ordered and after showing one of the riders how to mix the antidote she went to bring the injured dragon back.

At first, she didn't know how she was going to bring them back but then looking at her rider bracelet she went to get the tree injured dragons.

Crystal brought back the three dragons and as she let them out Crystal realised they might lose the first dragon to this war but she wasn't going to give up the fight just now and to her surprised the ancient rainbow dragon and many of the other more powerful ancient dragon had arrived but she had no time to wast and started shouting orders left and right.

The days flew by really fast and everyone was exhausted but seeing the anient and two elder dragons slowly getting up was all the reward that they needed.

Crystal took a deep breath and asked Sophie how the eggs and there mother was doing and with a happy reply she said that they were doing great and that they would make it.

Crystal looked towards the area she wanted to build the healing centre of mytical creatures and said, "we will have to build it soon and i believe we need to plant a lot more herbs to heal poisons in dragon and other creatures," Crystal said.

Crystal found herself looking at all the poeple that had helped and went to the prince, "do you know if we can find a way to provide bette shelter for the riders and there dragons, i hate seeing them so tierd?" Crystal asked.

"Yes, you still have a lot of money left we can bring in the materials we need to build the village and the medical area and use this as one of the points to watch for dark dragons and knowing we have a centre here for any rider and there partner but also wild mythical creatures i think we will be okay," Prince Leon said.

"As long as you remeber the fact that there are mytical creatures here is a secret, i dont want hunters here," Crystal said. "We will also help with patrols around this valley that way no matter were they come from we will know and deal with them, i agree garuding and protecting them is a must," Prince Leon said.
