The next morning Crystal found herself up before dawn. She quietly checked on all of the dragons and was pleased to learn that everyone was saved. Crystal looked around the palace and found it was different from the stone castle's she has seen.
This one was build out of wood, it was a single storage palace but it had stone walls around this castle. The forest seems to be a natural wall of wood around this castle. Crystal found herself closing her eyes and listen to the forest.
The birds were singing, in the distance, she heard the river flowing and for the first time in a really long time she felt save. Crystal lay down on the grass and found herself closing her eyes and just listen as the forest played it's music for her once more.
A hand that touched her head woke Crystal up and she found herself staring at the elve elder who was accompanied by three elves. "Good morning" Crystal replied. "Good morning my dear, why are you sleeping on the grass?" he asked.
"I just really missed the forest, if you close your eyes long enough you can hear the voice of the forest. I missed it, the last time I really heard it I was ten years old with Forest, my mother and Ray another elve before all the trouble happened," Crystal replied.
"Those that hear the voice of the forest has the ability to understand it. They say the voice warns them of danger but also helps them in times of great need. You are lucky to hear such a powerful voice," the elve elder said.
"I can still remember to look on Ray's face when I told her I could hear the voice. She and Forest both told me to never tell my mother, it was something I didn't understand back then," Crystal replied.
"So you've been able to hear the voice from a young age?" the elve elder asked. "I was really young when I heard it for the first time. You should ask Forest he can tell you when I started hearing the voice, he also knows some of the Avalons secrets after all he was the guardian of the evergreen forest. Ray, as far as I know, isn't with us anymore though," Crystal replied.
"That's why he is always so familiar to me, I knew Ray as a child and yes she passed on to her next journey a long time ago," the elve elder said. "She and Forest raised me most of the time, my mom came as often as she could but one day she didn't come anymore and Avalon's guards caught me and I was locked up for seven years until dragon riders freed me," Crystal replied.
"Crystal, why are you sitting on the ground?" Prince Leon suddenly asked. "No reason just needed time to enjoy the morning," Crystal answered. "I need to go and meet my brother for important work, I'll be back this evening," Prince Leon said as he started to saddle Furry.
"Okay, see you tonight then," Crystal answered. When the prince disappeared over the trees on his dragon the elve elder asked, "you haven't told him about your abilities?"
Crystal took a deep breath and said, "he might suspect it but I haven't told him much only some of the information. He might suspect something but we haven't really spoken about everything," Crystal answered.
"This is the elve that will train you, the two elve maidens are here to assist and help during training. His name is Elas and the two elve maidens are Lura and Kali. There will be elves coming on a daily basis to clean out the stables and to take the dragons hunting. Is anyone on a special diet?" the elve elder asked.
Crystal thought for a while and said, "No only Nylla gets aggressive when she eats to many fish, I am not sure why but she can eat once or twice a week but I noticed more than that she starts challenging other dragons. I believe it might be because her mother is Aurora queen of the crystal dragons," Crystal replied.
"You bonded to one of her dragon's eggs, how did that happen?"Kali asked.
"My mom gave birth to me in the evergreen forest with the help of Forest, Ray and a nursemaid. Aurora laid her eggs in a cave close to Ray's home and the nursemaid forced me and Nylla to bond at birth while our mothers were recovering. She does have her mothers temper and the only way to calm her is to use the power of the forest," Crystal replied.
"We will have to keep that in mind?" Elas said. "Yes, and one thing she might take a while to settle down, Lady Fella's men pulled a nasty prank on her so she might not be good company for a while," Crystal said.
"What do you mean?" Lura asked. "Furry is Nylla's mate and the guard that works for Lady Fella made it seems that both Furry and his rider died," Crystal replied. "That's not good," Kali said looking around nervously.
"She is still asleep and besides I am here if she goes to far ill stop her. I'll just go with her on her hunting trips for a while and make sure she doesn't challenge anyone," Crystal said.
Crystal and the elves were talking when Nylla woke up and came out of her stable. Crystal could tell Nylla wasn't doing so well and went to see what the problem was. "What is wrong Nylla?" Crystal asked.
"It's another new place, how many times are we going to move around before we can find a place to call home?" Nylla complained. "I know it difficult for you to travel around Nylla but we have no choice, one day we will find a place we can call home and guess what we won't have to leave ever again," Crystal replied.
"That would be good because all this travelling is getting even to me," Forest complained. Crystal took a deep breath and said, "I don't know how normal this is but it might just be all of them that might need time to settle in. One thing is for sure, we won't be able to move for a while."
The elves looked at one another and Elas asked, "I take it this is Forest the evergreen elder?" Crystal looked at Forest and replied, "Yes, he is and Rose is his mate but as far as I know there isn't anything you need to worry about. Nylla is the only aggressive one you really need to worry about," Crystal said.
"Would you like a keeper for the elder dragons and the ancient dragon's Crystal, it would just make your training easier if you don't need to worry about taking care of everyone," Elas asked.
Crystal looked at all the dragon and replied, "I do need a bit of help with everyone, one of the ancient dragons could be laying eggs any day now and I have no idea what to do, if you can help that I would like that also is there any way someone might be able to give Starmist a was and a brush today, I would do it but I think you want to start with the training," Crystal asked.
"We can have people here to take care of them all, Crystal even Nylla we have expert dragon keepers and alicorn keepers that know how to help every one of them," the elve elder said.
Nylla looked around and said, "they followed us here," Crystal looked up and noticed dragons flying above. Nylla was growling so much that the other dragon and even Starmist woke up.
Lady Fella got down from her dragon and came over the Crystal. "I see you still mix with the royal," she stated. "Lady Fella in case no one told you I am royalty, my mother is Avalons second princess Joleana Savera and my father is Allan Rosetti one of Avigalla's prince's, both my grandfathers is kings, "Crystal replied.
"I didn't know that, " Lady Fella said. "Yes, and Prince Leon's father is lending this place to me since they found a better place they don't need it at the moment," Crystal replied.
Crystal was getting angry, she didn't like how Lady Fella could keep being so rude, first they lock her up without explanation. Now they show up still saying that she was mixing with royals.
"What is your problem Lady Fella? I didn't come here start a fight with you besides how do you suppose I should learn the rules if no one tells them to me. In Golsend the only thing that survived the war was the animals and last time I check they cant speak so how am I supposed to know your rules?" Crystal asked.
"Wait you don't know what the Golsend crown is, our rules or any of our customs?" Lady Fella asked. "No Lady Fella, the last time I saw my mother I was ten years old. My life might seem like a fairy tale to you but it's not," Crystal said.
Lady Fella got quiet and said, "I will be back again soon." She mounted her dragon and took off with her guards following closely behind.
