Chapter 46: The Side Request

She raised her hand and open her palm upward to release hundreds of energy forces that she took away from the fallen rogues recently. Gwen looked at them with an empty expression which made everyone in the living space of the DIP mansion gasp in fright.

"Cut your tongue?" Gwen's voice was totally imperious and dominating exactly making the DIP members around them quiver in fright. Some of them fall to the ground as their knees weakened to what they could feel around Gwen's energy flow that she was emitting.

"What are you?" the laughing team leader was not laughing anymore. He was scared and his knees gave up and fall down his ass.

"She's the new recruit of the DIP Elite team of Slavica." Alys answered while smirking proudly about what Gwen can do in a short period of time of being exposed to the night creatures.

"So now, welcome, Gwen Daae to the DIP organization." Jefferson welcomed Gwen sincerely while smiling at her.

"You'll be partnering with Slavica as one of the elite team leaders." Nejin assigned her on teaming up with Slavica and Gwen loves the idea as she nodded eagerly to the news. Nejin chuckled over her genuine reaction.

"Also, meet us tomorrow in our office to give you some brief pointers on joining our organization." Mina added while smiling proudly at her.

"Noted, Mina." Gwen politely bowed to the DIP founders' acceptance of what she could do. But at the same time, she was already feeling the weight of being one of the DIP members. It will be a very serious task to hold.

"Now, go and rest. We'll be in our respective offices if you needed one of us." Wilma gave Gwen a knowing smile which Gwen returned. But when they were about to leave, she recalled something to discuss with Wilma.

"Oh, Wilma, can I speak with you privately later after I fill my stomach?" Gwen politely bowed her head as she asked Wilma to spare time with her.

"Sure, just feel me when you're ready to speak with me." Wilma smiled and followed the other founders.

"Okay, thanks." Gwen whispered as she knew that Wilma still could hear them.

When the DIP founders all left them in the living space of the mansion, some of the DIP members were dismissed as well and went back to where they were assigned but some still stayed because of their stunned team leaders.

"How long they're going to be in shock?" Tucker asked in a whisper his mate beside him.

"Not sure." Yui answered before Irina nudged her side to cut whatever they were whispering about. They both mouthed sorry and watched carefully when Gwen turned her attention to the saved fallen rogues.

"Saved fallen rogues, go home to your mates and tell them what happened. They will accept you if they were meant for you but if not, accept it and live your new life. Keep the hope of meeting someone who'll accept everything about you." Gwen told them sincerely which they all felt and listened to what she commanded to them. They all get up from their feet and bowed respectfully since they were very grateful for the help that Gwen gave to them. Then they all left the DIP's premises without looking back.

As they left the mansion, Gwen snapped her fingertips secretly and made sure that the barrier that she wrapped around the entire borders of the DIP quarters was activated. She made sure that whoever was not a DIP member and left the DIP quarters borders, they'll not have any recollection of any creatures that they meet inside or whatever happened to them, or even the whereabouts of the DIP quarters as soon as they stepped out from the barrier that she put around the borders.

"Seems to me you did something to them…" Slavica took notice of the sudden change around those saved fallen rogues as soon as they stepped out from the perimeter of the quarters.

"Precaution and the safety of the quarters." Gwen simply shrugged her shoulders as if it was nothing. But Slavica liked what she had done for the safety of everyone in the quarters.

"It's okay, it was very nice of you on thinking about our safety when we are supposed to be the ones who should do that." Slavica said but her message hit the remaining DIP members with them. They felt sad when they recall why they were working at quarters; they help, save and protect whoever needed their helping hands.

"Now, cook my food." Gwen suddenly clapped as she turned to Irina and Slavica since she's needing her food.

"Alright, let's feed your monster inside your belly." Slavica chuckled as she grabbed Gwen's hand and entwined their fingertips together.

"Hey, I'm not pregnant." Gwen playfully hit her arm with her free hand as they walked toward the cafeteria and leaving the others still stunned on their ground.

"I'm referring to that…" She was about to say something to counter what Gwen just told her but she slowed down all of the sudden.

"What?" Gwen sensed it and asked.

"Nothing, I'm just thinking about our little us running around our own house." Slavica smiled as she hoped for the future of one day of them being together.

"Oh…that's…cute for you to think like that already." Gwen blushed since Slavica already could see themselves being together that long already. Gwen found it really sweet and thoughtful.

"Can't help it, I just love you." She bluntly expressed that surprised Gwen and blushed more.

"And since when you started speaking of them openly?" she teased Slavica as she ignored the fact that her cheeks were burning already.

"Since this heart beats for you." Slavica winked at her Gwen hid her heated face in the crook of Salvica's neck.

"Sweet." Gwen mumbled which only Slavica could hear and a sweet giggle erupted around them.

"Okay, that's enough flirting and let's get cooking. I'm hungry too." Irina shook her head and cut their moment as passed by at them.

"Yes, chef." Slavica chuckled and saluted at her.

"Whatever, lovebirds." Irina smiled as she shook her head and entered the kitchen of the DIP's cafeteria.

They went on preparing their desired meal for their cravings and enjoyed eating as a group. The lovebirds around Irina were being neutrally sweet with each other making her misses her own mate which Gwen sensed. Gwen leaned her head over Irina and even wrapped her arms around hers. Irina just looked at them then, particularly at Gwen but she didn't comment and just eat her remaining dessert in front of her.

"Just call him. He'll be delighted as well." Gwen told Irina who fed her a portion of her ice cream. Gwen gladly takes it.

"I know he will be that's why I don't. I'd rather make him miss me so, it will be hot when we got together again." Irina smiled at the kind thoughtfulness that Gwen expressed but she knew that her mate was already missing her as much as she does.

"Oh, that's steamy." Gwen chuckled as she understood what Irina meant about 'hot'

"Yeah, no breaks." Irina chuckled as well Gwen pulled away and give her a look of disbelief but Irina nodded to confirm it.

"Wow." Gwen only managed to react.

"Irina, don't put any thoughts about that thing to her." Slavica shook her head about their conversation which made Yui and Tucker to laughed.

"I'm not just stating the truth and please, don't deny that you're not thinking about claiming Gwen and marking her as yours." Irina pointed out to Slavica as she rolled her eyes.

"Who said I'm denying that in my thoughts?" Slavica defended that made others chuckle but tried to hold it.

"So you've been desiring to do that with me?" Gwen was controlling her grin when she asked Slavica directly. Slavica just looked deeply at her before sighing.

"A lot, actually ever since I got close to you…but I'm not going to force you to do something you didn't want to because I don't want our relationship to be based on it." Slavica honestly gave her answer to Gwen who felt warm when she heard them. She could feel the sincerity in them that strikes her heart.

"Thoughtful and respectful. Thank you." Gwen smiled lovingly at her.

"I'm trying to be respectful as I can be and not be perverted to you. You're so precious to me that I wanted everything to be great for us when we do it. I hope you understand where I am coming from." She continued what she was honestly expressing to Gwen. Gwen smiled in understanding.

"Of course, I do. I understand because I am too. I want our first to be precious and full of love and not just meaningless sex." Gwen responded honestly since she really does understand where Slavica was coming from because she felt the same way about her. She was also been controlling herself whenever their lips touched each other. She really wanted to go further but not at the same time.

"Blunt, Gwen. So, blunt." Tucker teased and followed their laughter.

"Well, I could be if I have to but if not, then I don't." Gwen winked at them as she responded to that tease and Slavica pulled her into her arms.

Gwen was suddenly surprised by the pull that Slavica just did. Slavica hold her very dearly and their friends sensed something suddenly came out from Slavica. Gwen wanted to pull but Slavica held her tightly as if she was going to vanish if she didn't hold her like that. Gwen felt it and let herself be held dearly in the arms of the person she falling in love with.

"Vica, my love, I'm not going anywhere but with you. I could go anywhere with you. So, please, don't cry. I am here now." Gwen felt the calming down of Slavica's hold on her which made her pull a little to look over the crying orbs of her lover.

"I love you." Slavica lovingly confessed to Gwen. Gwen felt them and even behind the unmasked face of her lover or even those tears that she was wiping, she could feel everything that Slavica was real and honest to what she feeling for her. It made her cry as well but they were both shedding tears of joy.

"Now, I finally understand what's happening around you, Slavica." A sudden voice from a familiar lady, Duchess/Princess Celene came into their view.

"Not a good timing. I'm having a moment with her." Slavica rolled her eyes and Gwen flicked her forehead as her personalized masked appeared over her lover's face again.

"Well, the bond between the two of you was going deep. She was just cloaking you with her power that's why there were times you can read or even feel anything. But it was different now, am I right? She finally adjusted it." Celene explained what she was seeing around their energy flow and it was the mate bond flow that kept growing deeper and brighter.

"You're cloaking me? Why?" Slavica looked wondering at Gwen when she heard those words from Celene.

"I don't want anyone to take you away from me without a fight." Gwen just answered her reason making Slavica smile and kissed Gwen's forehead dearly.

"Oh babe, I'm all yours to keep. So, don't worry. It's me that should be doing that aside from being your knight." Slavica reassured that every piece of her being belongs to Gwen's loving heart.

"Oh please, nobody will try to hit on me and even if they do, I'm already yours. So, the same, don't worry about that." Gwen reassured her as well which made both of them chuckle.

"I know." She smiled before turning to Celene since she was still not leaving their table.

"Celene, is there something wrong?" Slavica curiously asked making them look at her.

"I am not sure but whatever lies ahead of the two of you, please, help someone in my clan at all costs." Celene suddenly turned serious which made them look serious at her as well.

"Let us hear them." Gwen smiled as she reached Celene's trembling hand that she notice. Celene smiled at that genuine gesture.

"She'll be entitled to trigger something once her vampire elder mate dies." Celene's eyes glow in mauve taint as if she was seeing what lies somewhere in the future.

"But who's the vampire elder at the moment?" Slavica curiously asked about that.

"Blanche. Iolana Blanche Monte Cruz, she's the vampire elder at the moment." Celene answered and her moonlight eyes looked back at them.

"I am not sure if your first assignment will be with her case but if it does, make sure to direct her mate to Rupert Quins and then to her cousin Rean Aspire." She continued because she knew that the DIP founders could already sense something different that might occur in the future. It was explained how the DIP members were being sent out to check or saved certain creatures at the right moment.

"Give us her name." Gwen insisted to know the name that Celene was referring to.

"Celestial Ceres Aspire. She's an abomination and soon will be exiled for what she was about to do." Celene answered and there was a glimpse of worry in her expression since it was from her clan.

"And how did you know this?" Gwen curiously wondered.

"It's my vampire gift as the family head of Aspire but since the epidemic burst, a new one arises and I'm forgotten. Well, not to everyone." Celene chuckled as if it was nothing to her.

"Do they know you still exist?" she was in her curious cat mode when she asked Celene again.

"Some do, particularly those close to the DIP. So can I have your word now?" Celene responded before asking them again.

"We can't promise but we'll see what we can do for that case." Slavica safely answered back which Celene nodded at.

"Okay, it was much better than promises that can't be kept." She smiled at the honest reply that she heard from Slavica's serious voice.
