A Deity Clad in Crimson

So Eun didn't remain still and proceeded to sprint ahead. Handling the conditions first before throwing words at anyone was the best alternative to deal with the situation faster.

The boy kept on whimpering as if they had captured him in the middle of stealing. He sobbed an effort from that man's grip that provoked So Eun. The poor soul was so frightened at that man holding a carver, almost weeping out blood tears with how hoarse his voice had become.

After a few seconds, that person felt someone seized his arm. He turned his head at So Eun, eyes widening.

"Sir, we can talk this out first," He enunciated, keeping his expression stern and forward. He didn't mean to tighten his grip for him to let go, yet the guy raised his eyebrows and gave him a sharp look.

"And who are you? I have some business to deal with this fellow. You don't want to be involved with this," That erupted something within. The man suddenly threw his knife at the side and grasped So Eun's hand. He didn't expect the change of mood and instantly wanted to back out, being displeased that he almost preferred to tussle with his fist.

Yet if he were to proclaim that this will be an accident, he was still a Deity, and one of the God's regarded regulations is to never harm a mortal.

Instead of choosing a physical brawl, he set up the spiritual powers in his palm to compel the man to release them.

Dong-Hyun, who was a distance away from them, was about to dash forward to assist, but when he's halfway on his tracks, they received another manly wail of anguish.

This time, So Eun had seized the kid's arm and passed him on Dong-Hyun. And the guy's one hand was occupied before, yet an abrupt sharp twinge of a needle had caused him to loosen his grip. He stared at his unscathed arm. No blood or anything serious was seen.

When he saw the person who was brave enough to intervene and hit his arm, the sides of his eyes turn red, glaring at So Eun while clutching his arm.

"How dare you disturb me?" He exclaimed and bent down from his spot to wield the blade again. So Eun was prepared, his hands itching to grasp the dagger and crush it into pieces.

But when the knife was directing to stab at his front, a flash of silvery light had appeared before him.

In a second, that white light blinded their visions, and no one saw what happened, but either So Eun and Dong-Hyun couldn't deny the fact that a bright sparkle of light was a Deity's light core.

To be this blinding as if the gates of heavens had opened in the mortal realm, So Eun concluded another powerful Deity had crossed this road and interrupted them.

The white energy of the fog vanishes, Dong-Hyun was still hugging the child, and they were both stunned. So Eun had long raised his hand to block the light from overwhelming his eyesight. He squinted his eyes at the vague silhouette standing between him and the fellow with a knife.

After a while, and for the last time, they heard one more groan from that man. So Eun saw the Deity had clasped his wrist together in his back. They had tied the golden string of the Heavens to his wrist, forbidden him to use his hands.

"What seems to be the problem?" A soothing voice and an indifferent figure had welcomed So Eun, it was a young man clad in crimson armor plate, its ornate covering was like that Deity riding a stallion.

"Oh, God! It is not my fault! It's that child!" Before another Deity appeared, the buff man was close to starting a brawl with So Eun, which is unprincipled and disgraceful. Who dared to fistfight with a Deity? So Eun hadn't remembered all of his rules and limitations, but he was confident that disrespecting a celestial being was a grave offense for a mortal to commit. Which is essential and established an unsaid rule between a human and a Deity. Whether they're living in one world, there is still a line forbidden to cross.

However, So Eun thought of one thing since he stepped foot on the streets of Tipolo, why did no one approach and recognized him as a Deity except Dong-Hyun?

The man's figure trembled in anxiety, withdrawing when he caught a Deity stopped him. So Eun saw his attempt to move away from the Deity, thus he questioned himself even more.

That's strange. Am I a low-class Deity that no one notices me? Or is it because I just came here?

The Deity turned around and confront the buff man whose trying to hide his face out of embarrassment. So Eun wanted to take this chance and start a discussion about this Ghoul child. He might end up being friends with this powerful one.

And after a moment, he felt the teenager walked beside him. Patting the Ghoul child's head.

"S-So Eun, that Deity is Gim Yeonbin. I-I can't believe I am witnessing these with my two eyes." When he heard his stuttering voice, So Eun looked over and chuckled. Dong-Hyun's mouth fell open, his eyes widening, gazing at the Deity's back figure. So Eun turned to look at him too. Then a sudden train of thought popped up in his head.

"He's from the Gim Clan? The second major sect?"

"Yes, the main clans were originally three, yet after a decade it only lasts into two. The Gim Clan is in the Emperor's favor. That was why their spiritual energy is out of this world."

"What do you mean with 'their'? Isn't the Deity in Gim clan only one?" So Eun inclining his head to glance at Dong-Hyun and the youth who was clinging to the teenager's robes.

He smiled softly at him, but the Ghoul child wasn't looking at him either. That Deity stole his spotlight.

"The Deity that was riding a stallion earlier, was Gim Jaebin. His twin brother."

Rather than their attire being identical to each other, So Eun didn't see the other Deity's face, so he just nodded at Dong-Hyun.

"I can decipher now why Our Celestial Being hasn't been recognized by the people as a Deity." So Eun gave him a raise of his eyebrows.

"Well, he has plenty of time to cultivate as a God, and So Eun only just descended today. Of course, his spiritual energy can overwhelm to the point of, it will tuck away yours and would be hard to identify." Dong-Hyun said while looking at him.

They fell silent. After a while, So Eun replied.

"Since we came out of the Palace, not a single villager had shown a sign of acknowledgment. Does that mean he was here all along?"
