CHAPTER 29 - BEGIN

"What do you mean they're here?" Ace asked while whispering.

"There are other creatures here aside from us," Hoax answered.

Mave was totally clueless, "Can you please specify it?"

"They don't smell like animals, but I can't tell if they're humans," Tosh said.

"There goes that annoying smelling power of yours! If you have just listened to me, we were safe in the West," David sat like he has no hope.

"Can we please skip these blaming sessions?" Friean is whispering, "What should we do now?"

"Tosh, Hoax, and I will stay here and all of you will go behind that big tree, okay?" Roi directed them.

Mave and Friean hurriedly went behind the tree Roi were referring to. David followed them after a short while. But Meta and Ace stayed with them.

"What are you two doing here? Go now! They are getting nearer!" Tosh was holding back but he wanted to shout in the face of those two hard-headed members.

"I missed this. I will join. You can't do anything about it," Meta answered while playing with her fingers.

"I a General of the Army. I have battle experiences. I will not let my companions here," Ace stood firmly.

"Look, this is not just a simple battle between ordinary people," Hoax was trying to convince them to leave.

"I am not ordinary, too. Don't mind me. Just go on with your business. I will not interfere or block your way," Meta smiled with confidence.

Ace didn't get a chance to further explain why he should stay because a creature that is wolf-like suddenly appeared. It was covered with thick black fur. Its saliva was overflowing and you can see how massive it was. But they were surprised when it suddenly stood up like a human being and smirked at them. It howled as if it was informing the others that he has found them.

Friean was shaking when she saw it. She was about to run and scream when Mave grabbed her and covered her mouth with his hand. She was totally shocked that she suddenly lost her consciousness and fall into his body. He was forcing Friean to wake but then decided to let her sleep so she would not do any unnecessary things to destruct the five from fighting and not to catch the attention of the wolves.

"This is interesting," Tosh said with full of excitement.

Roi get his guns out. He was carrying his two high caliber guns with him since day one. Nobody will notice it because his dresses were designed to conceal it that is why he never wore tight-fitting clothes.

Meta also has guns. The gun that she used to kill her friend's snake to be exact. She didn't leave it since then. Although she can fight by using her sixth sense.

Tosh smiled at them showing that he will fight bare handed.

Hoax has his bow and arrow with him. It was his newly discovered skill when he was in that room for two weeks. He managed to place it in his back to avoid any distractions while they were walking around the forest. That's the reason why he was always lying down sideways.

Ace, was known to be a good marksman and swordsman. He has his gun inside his boots and fixed it so he can easily get it when something happens while sword fighting.

"Those assholes pretended to bring nothing when they have brought the most deadly ones with them all the time," David complimented them.

"They were super cool! I never imagined they have all of those while we were on this. How I wish I can be cool like them," Mave was really hoping he can be.

"You can't," David said and Mave automatically looked at him with disappointment, "You can't be cool like them because you will be cool in your own way," then he closed his eyes like his companions were just playing with cute puppies out there.

What David said made Mave's heart flutter, "I never expected those words from you, David. Anyways, thank you for that. I'll take that one as a motivation to improve myself," and he continued to watch the five preparing.

Meta was losing her patience, "What's taking your group so long, huh?" she did not hesitate to ask the wolf.

The wolf laughed and it made them look at each other with eyes open wide, "Here I thought that I was the one who was waiting for all of you to attack at ones," the wolf said, "I am not waiting for anyone," he positioned, "Because they were already here."

It was dark. The sun already set. The five of them searched for the other wolves and they instantly recognized the red flashing eyes in the dark. It was too many. But one thing caught Hoax's attention.

"No! Mave! Friean! David!" he shouted when he saw that the three were being taken away by some of the wolves. He used his powers to follow them in an instant but they were nowhere to be found and he decided to go back to their battlefield, "Tell us, where are they? What are you planning to do?"

"Isn't it obvious? We will kill you all! You are not quick witted as we expected," the wolf was teasing them, "That only means that you are not also as competent and skilled to fight with us. What are we waiting for? Let's start this and end this sooner, I am too hungry to listen to all your dramas," the wolf growled and transformed into a bigger version. The shirt it was wearing were torn and he began to attack.

The five were surprised and were occupied by the thought of the three being in danger.

"Don't lose your focus on him. Extend your senses so that you will feel and see if the others who were just watching right now will attack. Everything will be okay. We will set them free soon. They are safe. So, let us now fight and finish them so we can see them already, okay?" Tosh was trying to redirect their thoughts.

"Okay!" they all shouted in unison.

And the battle begins.
