CHAPTER 30 - FOOL

Tosh was the first to attack. He was targetting its neck so that it'll lose its breathe and prevent the fight to be prolonged. But it was totally impossible because many of its allies were watching them from afar and are ready to attack when this devilish creature in front of them will be injured or killed.

He was followed by the swift-moving body attacks of Hoax. He is not a good physical fighter. He can only attack because of his swift moves but it seems like this wolf is a veteran. He decided to fight with a little distance. He was aiming for the wolf's heart but he was surprised when the position of it was suddenly spotted by Tosh who was so good at hand in hand battle. It was a relief when he was able to change the direction of the arrow and it went to the wolf's shoulder. He felt victorious for wounding the wolf but it just glared at him and pulled the arrow and he saw that the hole where it pierced through disappeared.

Ace also saw it. He is now full of thoughts on how he would help the two. He was thinking of cutting off its arms or legs so it will be handicapped. He can't easily aim for the head because the wolf is too good with fighting. He should use a long-range fighting stunt to avoid being injured. He attacked and tried to cut off its left hand which was held by Tosh. He succeeded. The wolf threw Tosh and laid due to the pain that Ace caused.

"That's great, Ace!" Roi shouted and applaud.

The howling of the wolf covered the whole place. All of them were waiting for the reinforcement to come but they failed. No one of those watching eyes attacked. Tosh decided to attack again and it is also successful. He was able to behead the wolf.

Tosh was covered with blood and deep wounds.

"Are you okay?" Meta hurriedly asks.

Tosh nodded, "We have to go and find them. They might be in danger since that wolf is dead."

"I agree, let's go," Roi said but they were taken aback when someone pulled Meta away from the group.

All of them prepared to fight. They heard no trace of Meta's presence.

"Did you see who took Meta?" Hoax asked.

"I didn't," Ace answered.

"Me too, I am too occupied by thoughts of where to go to find them," Tosh added.

A little noise behind the bushes caught their attention. They carefully waited for that creature to come out before they attack. They were about to attack at once when the bushes showed Meta.

Hoax used his ability to reach Meta's location and immediately grabbed her hand and they both ended up in the area where the others are.

"Are you okay?" Roi asked.

Meta smiled, "Of course I am. I am just surprised that they are back fighters," she wiped off some blood on the side of her lips.

"Are you sure? You look hurt," Ace wants to confirm.

"Yes. Come, follow me," they were going in the direction where Meta just came out. The bush showed five of the wolves that were crashed by Meta.

"Seriously? You finished five when we had a hard time a while ago with that one?" Hoax was surprised.

"These five were no match with that one. I saw Friean's scarf in this area. They fooled us that they brought them that way," she was pertaining to their previous direction.

They were all walking when they suddenly heard fast steps and something running. They stopped and waited for them to show up. They were all sure that it was behind the large tree. A dead wolf suddenly fell to the ground and Rex showed up.

"How dare you guys let my sister be taken away?" He suddenly asked.

"Look, we tried to get them away with this but we did not succeed. We are very sorry. We are on our way to get them back," Roi explained.

"I was just kidding. I saw them heading that way," Rex pointed North.

Ace punched him, "How dare you leave us, huh?"

"Look, I was just trying to help. I already blocked the other wolves from coming here in this area," Rex already killed some of the wolves who plans to get near their area earlier.

"So that's why none of them attacked us. You shut them down already," Tosh concluded.

They continued to walk and they found Friean, Mave, and David under a big tree. They all ran towards them and they removed the rope around their hands and feet. All of them were unconscious.

Rex approached Friean first. He was trying to wake his sister up. Minutes have passed but none of them showed any response. All of them were worried. Hoax disappeared.

"Where do you think he is going?" Ace asked Meta.

"I think he's going to find some herbs that will help to wake these people. He's good at that. Nobody saw him trying to revive Snow that time when all of you given up. He was able to awake Snow's heart and produce some heartbeat but the poison was too strong so it still did not work. He may seem to be cold-hearted or he hasn't shown any interest but he was trying to overcome his inferiority," Meta explained to Hoax's side.

Ace was amazed, "You have really forgiven him, huh? It was a good thing for both of you. I admire his courage to overcome that. I hope he'll come back with a solution for these three."

"You know what, I am sometimes mistaken by you. Your personality and appearance are somewhat confusing. You are truly good looking. But looking at you at this distance," Meta moved a little closer, "You look like a woman to me. Plus your man-bun, I wonder how you look like when our hair is down," Meta looked away, "But no matter how much you confuse or deceive us, I believe that you are a good person. You are doing that for a purpose. No matter what it is, just don't play and fool us," Meta sat under the next tree. Ace was dumb-founded.
