CHAPTER 31 - GOOD

After waiting for almost an hour, Hoax came back. He brought some herbs with him.

"Did they wake while I'm away?" he asked.

"They still haven't. We have tried all of the means we know. We sprinkled some water and tickled them but still it won't work," Rex was totally worried about his sister and the two men.

Hoax started to rub two stones to make fire. He carefully plucked the leaves from their soft stems. He washed them in the nearby lake and searched for a stone that can hold water to boil and put it above the fire. When the water boiled he put the herbs one by one. And when the leaves' extract was ready, he asked Roi to search for a thick leaf that can be used to hold the extract.

"Here, I don't know what leaves are these but they look safe, so I picked them," Roi explained while catching his breath.

Tosh move towards them, "Can I?" he asked and Roi gave it immediately to him. Tosh sniffed the leaf to ensure it won't harm them, "It's safe, we can use it."

Ace help Hoax on carrying the stone of the extract.

"Be careful, that's too hot," Hoax warned Ace.

"I'll be fine. Go first," Ace told Hoax.

Meta came to Ace and smelled the extract, "Yuck! This is absolutely awful! Who wouldn't be awake if you'll smell this?"

The boys laughed, "But you look like, you'll pass out, Meta!" Rex was laughing out loud.

Meta glared at him, "What's funny about that? How can you laugh so hard like that when your sister was still in that condition?" she asked while pointing at Friean.

"Look, I am fully aware of the situation. I didn't forget about it, but everyone laughed when we saw your reaction," Rex was still laughing.

Hoax was moving like there are no other people around him. He poured the extract on their mouth one by one. Ace was still the one who assists him until the end.

"Let us wait for a few minutes so that the extract will run all over their system," Hoax finally put down the leaf.

All of them sit around the three who were still asleep. But just like what Hoax said, the three of them started to cough and let out a deep sigh.

They all felt relieved after seeing them like that.

Friean opened her eyes and was too shocked when she saw all of them were watching, "Oh my!" she covered her mouth, "What are you guys doing?"

"We were watching you all day. We have waited until the three of you wake up," Meta answered.

"Is there any problem?" David asked.

"I am already hungry, what do we have for dinner?" Mave was like a child.

"This person is suffering from a temporary memory loss. It will not take long. They just need to have some more rest and a grasp of the environment. They'll be fine," Hoax told them.

"You're too good at those things, huh? How did you learn that?" Ace was curious.

Hoax looked at him, "I have the ability to sneak whenever I want. I use it for useful means like sneaking out on other's classes. I usually go to medicine class or botanical lessons."

Rex clapped, "That was an achievement! You made him explain that long for a personal question!"

Even the other members agreed.

Ace scratched his forehead, "Well, maybe that is because Hoax was able to open himself to us now. I am more proud of that."

Tosh and Meta left to catch animals for their dinner since the three who just woke up said they were hungry.

"What's taking them so long?" Mave asked.

Ace smiled, "Have you forgotten that catching animals are not that easy?"

Mave was suddenly speechless. He let out a deep sigh, "Honestly, I can feel that there's something off with me. A while ago, I have this feeling that I know why we are here but suddenly I will be clueless about it again. It's stressing me out!"

Ace pat him, "Don't stress yourself out, Mave. Your memories will come back sooner if you relax."

Mave looked at Friean, "I wonder how she deals with all of these," Ace look at the direction where Mave is looking and smiled, "She's so lucky to have his brother by her side."

"She has you too," Mave looked at him confused, "She has a caring friend like you, she's lucky enough to have us all. And so are you, we are all here for you," Ace said while smiling.

When Mave seems to forget the things he must have know, it looks like his heart doesn't forgot how much he cares for Friean.

"They're here!" Roi shouted.

Tosh and Meta are good partners for hunting. They brought a huge wild boar and fishes.

"These are all edible. We already washed them up. All of these are ready to be grilled or cooked with soup if anyone knows how to," Tosh suggested.

Friean was amazed. Mave was looking at her and he smiled. When he was back into his own mind., hee too was surprised at what he had done. He looked around checking if someone saw what he did and he was glad everyone was busy with their own things.

"Don't we have a place to stay? It is somewhat weird but I can remember that we had a place and I even fixed it for us. Or did I recall it wrong?" David asked which made them all surprised.

"Wow! You remember it right, but we lose it. It was gone when we came back," Roi answered.

"Is that so? I'm glad I remember it correctly," David was rubbing his two hands.

Ace and Rex were in charge of the cooking. They prepared all the things they needed and they even chose to make soup for everyone. They all did a great job.

When they finished cooking, all of them gathered around the campfire. They all bowed their heads and prayed.

"Okay! Let's eat! We all did well today, guys. We deserve this delicious food," Roi said while raising his meat.

"I agree! Let's feast while there's nothing around that will harm us," Tosh added.

Friean's eyes were restless, "Is there someone missing with our group?" she pointed to the bushes, "I am sure I have seen someone out there."
