CHAPTER 32 - CHALLENGED

"Get out of there. Show yourself," Roi ordered that someone on the bushes.

All of them are now looking at the said bush. They were all waiting for the creature to show itself.

They were all relieved but at the same time, they did not expect him to be there.

"Long time no see, Your Highnesses," Sheldon vowed.

"What brings you here? Will you cook for us again?" Mave asked. It looks like he can remember Sheldon.

"You're doing good, Mave. Continue that," Meta complimented him.

Sheldon sighed, "I heard a lot of news about what's happening in here. Last night, after knowing that those wolves will attack you I hurriedly sneaked out. I want to warn you because those wolves are not just ordinary wolves. I am very thankful that all of you are now safe. Also, Empress Snow was sent back peacefully. The whole empire was devastated and they were waiting for you," he was pertaining to David, "To come back safe."

Ace stepped forward, "What do you mean by you heard that those wolves will attack us?" he is mad.

"I accidentally overheard the animals talking. At first, I didn't mind it because I know that I haven't placed them here. But since it is under Lady Samson and is called a mythical island, there's no such thing as impossible," Sheldon answered while still vowing.

"You can understand animals?" Tosh suddenly asked.

"Yes, Your Highness. I managed to learn how I can understand them since they are more than the people I can talk to here," Sheldon explained.

A strong wind suddenly passed by and Lady Samson showed up.

"Who said you can be here, huh?" she asked Sheldon while carrying him on his neck.

"Do you think he can answer you if you'll hold him like that?" Friean asked.

Hoax moved and get Sheldon out of Lady Samson's hand.

"Are you challenging me?" she was fuming mad.

Ace scoffed, "Do you feel challenged?" he smirked, "Hoax just helped Sheldon. Is that already challenging you?"

"Don't play with me," she blew some dust-like particles on Mave, Friean, and David, "I heard that you guys have stuck memories. Let me help you."

Rex runs towards Friean, Tosh to check David, and Ace to look on Mave.

"What did you do?" Roi shouted.

"We're fine now. I can clearly recall all the details," Mave awkwardly smiled.

Rex sighed, "You can leave now. We want to finish what we are doing to proceed."

Lady Samson smirked, "Is that how you say thank you?"

"We have nothing to say. Plus you don't deserve it. You let Snow died, we think we deserve this," Tosh said.

Lady Samson didn't expect that those guys will be that rude. She walked heavily towards Sheldon and brought him back to the base with her.

"I can clearly tell that Sheldon was trying to convey something. I am so close to letting him say it but Lady Samson came," Ace was uncomfortable since he was trying to decode Sheldon's words.

"I know this can be weird but," Tosh was helping Ace out, "I have been with the animals since then, there is no way for them to talk. You can understand them by their behavior and signals but it's not possible for them to talk believe me."

"That too made me confused. The wolves we encountered can talk because they are hybrids. But regular animals can't," Hoax added.

"Can those animals that he overheard can be hybrids too?" Friean suddenly asked.

"There's a big possibility but I got this feeling that those are not. He was too confident when he said it was animals," Ace concluded.

"They are more than the people I can talk to here, that is what he has said. There is a big possibility that there are other people around this island and Lady Samsoon was just tricking us that it was just us and the two of them were the people here," Roi said.

"I'm starting to feel dizzy hearing all of your thoughts," David spoke.

Meta stand up, "We are running out of time. We should finish eating and search for a place to stay and work again tomorrow. Forcing yourself to pull all those thoughts will result to nothing good. Who knows? That may be their way to confuse our minds. So let us eat in peace and rest. It has been a long day for all of us."

The boys were still thinking as they eat. But they were able to move forward and find a place to stay. Just like the other nights, it is rainy again.

Mave saw Friean with a big leaf as her blanket and his cheeks immediately heated and he turned red. He turned his back and saw Ace and Rex. The two were laughing at him because he was trying to act cool when it was obvious that he was tensed. He suddenly had experienced shortness of breath so they came to catch him.

"Calm down will you?" Rex said while laughing.

"That was just normal. Your memories just came back. I guess your heart doesn't forget how you feel towards Friean. Can you remember what we have talked about last time when we found the three of you?" Ace asked him while smiling.

Mave looked up trying to remember and the thought came to him as fast as his heartbeat. He placed his right hand on his chest trying to stop his pounding heart.

"Hey! Can't you speak?" Rex asked while playfully patting him.

Mave kicked his feet up and brushed his hair endlessly while remembering how much he has confessed to these two guys.

"What now? Are you done? Don't be embarrassed, we understand you," Ace is trying to console him.

Mave shouted, "How could this happen to me? How could you do this to me? You're so mean!"

A sudden burst of emotions from Mave made all of them stop what they are doing. They were now all looking at him. Seconds passed and they were laughing seeing how devastated Mave is. But on the side, Friean was still sleeping. She must be really tired.
