Chapter 38

Warden's Wife POV

Smiling on the outside and fuming on the inside I head into my husband's office at the prison. I am seldom stopped when I come to visit him. Waving at the officer standing guard at the entrance to the business office section of the prison. As I walk into his office, he smiles at me, like he did a good fucking job. I guess he forgot that he was the jackass that decided to do things his way.

"Well hello, beautiful. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company this evening?" I make sure to keep my smile in place as I shut and lock his office door behind me. I can tell he is misreading the situation because he has that stupid ass smile on his face. Whatever he can think what he wants, for now. Walking over to him and standing right in front of him. Then I gently place myself on his lap and wrap my arms around his neck. that is when I let my face fall.

"Damn baby what's wrong." I look down into my lap and take a deep breath and get ready to let him have it. I almost feel bad for what I'm about to do. Almost but not really. He did it to himself. "I need two million dollars by the end of the week." I managed to squeeze out a tear or two while he rubbed my back. "Baby, we don't have that kind of money. You know that. Why do you even need that kind of money?"

I can tell he is concerned and has no idea how he messed up. "Do remember the favor I asked you for?" He nods his head likes a bobblehead. "Of course baby. I allowed her free access to the woman just like you asked. She came when she wanted regardless of the day or time. Is she saying I didn't?" He is looking at me and his eyes are filled with concern and little fear. Good! All he had to do was follow directions. They were simple.

"Why did you put her in the visitors' room? I asked for a private room with no cameras. You know where you let them sit with their attorneys. That was the most important part. We would be debt-free right now if you had followed directions to the letter like you were supposed to." The color drained from his face and he has a look of pure fear in his eyes. I know in his man brain, there was a valid reason to do not to follow directions. I just can't imagine what it is.

"I know we had to catch something on camera we can use to get you out of this debt. She leader of your book club baby not a mob leader. I am sure there is something we can do to fix this." I just wanted to slap the hell out of him. He can be so dense sometimes. Min is not that common of a last name in this area. "I know Min may be a common name in South Korea, but how many do you know with that kind of money?" I hope this dense man can catch the sarcasm in my voice. "The kind of money needed to fix your embezzlement scandal? You know so you could keep this job you wanted so bad." He flinched like I slapped him. Good.

"You mean the money I took so you could keep up appearances with your friends? Like you still had that good old family money you grew up with. That money? I was doing my best to keep you happy." I see he is pulling no punches either. I know that I am the reason behind his crime. When we first got married I had no idea about managing money because I never had to do it. In my family, it was always just there and ready to spend.

"look I know I bear some of the blame. That is why I went to her to get the loan. It wasn't my brightest move but it was the best way I knew to fix the problem. I also worked out this deal to make the loan disappear and all you had to do was your part. A private room with no cameras or recording devices." Standing up and throwing my hands in the air I continued, "Now she wants her money back because we renigged on our deal." I love this man but I am not willing to die for him or anyone else for that matter.

"Baby, I will do what I can to fix it. Just set up an appointment and I will go. Maybe she will let me set up a payment arrangement or something. We will be fine Baby." He stands and pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead. I hope that he can make the magic he thinks he can. Because if he can't we are dead. The only thing that is keeping me sane. Is I don't think he can't make it any worse.

Suga's POV

Saying I felt bad for Peter is an understatement. He is in jail for trying to help the woman he loved, I can respect that. What I don't respect is him trying to take my son. I know prison itself had to be a hard adjustment for him. He went from money, power, and authority. To being a nothing and a nobody. He is now fully aware that his employees only listened because they were paid to. They didn't respect him any more than the prisoners do. He is getting no respect in prison, but what did he expect he doesn't even know how to earn it.

When he was arrested he told me where I could find the money he stashed. Told me to put it in a trust or college fund for the boys as a part of his restitution. I took the money and added a few dollars to his books, and then I did put the rest up for the boys. They have just over half a million dollars apiece. Regina is a stupid bitch, always going back to that jackass. She is always looking for Jason to love her. She has no idea who he even was in real life, he would never love her. He doesn't even know how to love anyone. She has Anthony who loved her so much he was willing to give up his life for her. He did give up his life for her.

Today I am going to see Anthony. Currently standing in line like everyone else waiting to visit. I hate it. The pat-down by the guard who is feeling me up more than he is checking me for contraband. Running his hands up and down my arms, chest, back, ass, legs, and way too close to my dick. Questioning why I even bothered to show up. He has no idea how close he is to catching a bullet on his way home. Watching him as he does his pat-down with a smile. He knows it is making me uncomfortable and he doesn't care.

Once he finished feeling up everyone. We all follow the guards back to the visiting area cubicles where we would sit and talk to the prisoners. My cubical was between two women that look like they wanted to be anywhere else but here. They had matching bags under their eyes, probably from lack of sleep and stress. Taking out the travel pack of Clorox wipes from my pocket I wipe off the phone. I have no idea who used this before me and I don't trust that they cleaned it after the last hundred uses. When I finished I noticed the women looking at me so I offered them each a wipe as well. Although I am sure they are the people that bring the germs. Just before the men are brought out a voice announces the rules over the intercom. No touching or flashing the prisoners and no touching the glass with anything but your hand. I can understand the flashing part and even the nothing but hands on the glass. But what the hell are they gonna touch with 2-inch plexiglass between them?

The men came in like a well-oiled machine. It's like they walked to the same beat, they even sat down at the same time. Peter: Thanks for coming. He has only been in here about six months but it looks like he has aged twenty years. I knew it would be hard here for him but I didn't think it was this hard. He doesn't look like he has been eating or sleeping very well. "You look like shit. I know there should be more than enough money on your books to pay for protection. I think you might want to look into some."

I didn't think it was possible but what little color he had in his face left. "I already tried that. To be honest I'm just barely keeping my virginity in here. I can't afford any more protection. But that isn't why I called you here."

I watched and waited as he attempted to collect himself. He looked nothing like the man my wife took pity on. He has deep dark bags under his eyes and his skin is very sallow. Kelis said she didn't want to fight the request his attorney is making for his part in the kidnapping. She feels that he felt bad for what he did since he made his restitution by himself outside of court.

"I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to make it in here. We both know I'm not cut out to be a prisoner. I need to make my peace with you and your family before I go. I know your wife is the reason that I am only getting 3 years for the kidnapping. I know I was blessed that you didn't override her." I nod as he speaks. It seems he is here doing more than failing at being a prisoner. I thought about telling him that I am not holding a grudge against him. I'm not going to lie and tell him I forgive him there is no reason. But before I can speak he continues to speak in a softer tone of voice.

"Is your government name Min Yoongi?" He has piqued my interest so I decided to respond. "Yes," I nod and wait for him to go on. Only select people know my given name, but only my family and select business associates say it to my face. "How do you know that?" I have never had any dealings legal or otherwise with this man. There is no reason for him to know my name.

"I walked in on Jason talking to someone on the phone. He was talking about someone that works at Min Enterprises that has been passing on shipping information." Sounds like this information was worth the trip and the creepy guard. "Did you know who he was talking to or about? Anything I can use to find the mole in my company?" He slowly shakes his head. "No, but I know that whoever he was talking to he called sir. Other than that I have some cameras installed at my house. I am positive that the police have found them. I can give you the information to access the cloud drive. Then you can check and see if you can find what you need."

Just the fact that he was able to confirm it was Jason that was trying to ruin me is a help. Also knowing that the person he was talking to he called sir tells me it is most likely his father. I nod at him and smile. "Thank you for the access. This is a big help and I appreciate it." He tears up a little as and we spend the rest of the time talking about sports. Mostly to give him time to collect himself before going back to his cell. I pray the cops didn't find the cameras because I'm sure the cameras caught Jason's murder.
