Pressure, Stress, and Anxieties

In our lives, we often feel these negative thoughts in our minds that can lead us to be stressed, pressured, and later turned to anxieties, although it is not a bad thing we need to take action to these kinds of matter because it can lead to mental health/illness. Being stressed and pressured at school and work. If only there is a way to make these negative thoughts to vanish from us, but it's not that easy, nor it can never be gone because if there is no stress and pressure, we cannot be competent, and life has no challenge at all. There is always stress in our lives, and it is normal. Problems are the ones that make our life challenging. We need to face those problems because we live in a world that is cruel and not perfect. Sometimes we often question ourselves, "why is the world so cruel and unfair?" or "why life has to be like these difficult?" why not just live in a world that we don't feel stressed and pressured, but it's not like that though. Life has no meaning without stress and pressure. Without them, our life will not be complete.

Today that I'm in my freshman year in college, I feel a lot of pressure and stress, not like during my Elementary and High School years that yes, I feel pressured and stressed but not like when you are in college. First, you feel stressed because you feel nervous when your teacher calls your name to report something, well students can relate to that, also the common stress when you are caught in traffic, and it is almost time for your class in a minute. Nowadays, I overthink something, and I feel pressured about it, why? First, I'm pressured about my parents but they are not pressuring me over something but it kind of like because whenever when you are in college, you need to choose the right course and I want to choose a course that they like and be proud of me and I choose Engineering, but I also like this course because somehow it is challenging, but it is very hard like I want to give up because I have failed a subject already and I tend to overthink that maybe they will get mad at me or something, but I think about the process and not the outcome. The second is choosing a course. We know that picking a course is hard and somehow it's a pressure to us, but just choose a course that best suits your skills and abilities, don't be afraid, if you have courage and determination, then you will be successful somehow. I did not suffer from anxieties because I'm aware that I can control myself, I can cure myself of these negative thoughts but do not just face it by yourself, there are your friends, if you need to open up to them or your parents, don't face it alone. Pressure, stress, and anxieties have different meanings. The pressure is when you overthink, and you have exhausted yourself with your expectations. Stress, we experience it every day, when we feel frustrated over a thing or an event. Anxieties is a reaction to stress, be careful because it can lead to depression or mental illness.

There are ways to relieve your pressure, stress, and anxieties:

· Do not think negatively.

· Forget about perfectionism

· Just think positive

· Focus on the present

· Do not think about what is the outcome. Just enjoy the process.

· Accept your failures and mistakes.

· Think that you can do and overcome your stress and anxieties

· Always have time for yourself, place yourself first on the list.

· Do not overthink because overthinking can cause anxieties that can affect your mental health.

· Breathe and meditate. It can help us to relax our mind and body.
