Chapter 10 – WAAAAAAH!!!!!

Third Person's POV (4 yr.s old)

"Yes, yes it is Ken." Ken nodded in understanding.

"How about you go try it first Ken?" Ken looked up to his father in shock, accompanied by fear and confusion, but his eagerness to learn about how to use and wield magic, made him agree and decided to do it first.

"Okay so now all you have to do is to picture out how your flame would be like, basically fire is a free element, and it sways to whichever direction the wind blows."

Ken held out his hand and focused on the mental picture of creating a flame, soon a small spark of flame formed atop his hand, he rejoiced and smiled to himself that he was able to invoke/ conjure fire on the first try, but true to his nature of being curious, he wondered and asked to himself 'What would happen if i try to make it bigger?'.

*Wind rustles*

*The ball of fire expands slowly*

In just a few moments, his questions were answered, he was able to make a fireball three times the size of a regular basketball.

Alfred and Wilbert were dumbfounded by what Ken had did, Alfred slowly cracked a smile at his face of the feats his son was able to achieve, while on the other hand Wilbert could not contain his excitement and sprouted a huge grin, beaming at Ken.

Ken dispersed his magic, and the flow of current in the air returned to its original state, both Alfred and Wilbert approached him.

"That was AWESOME KEN!!! I didn't know you could do that!"

Ken scratched the back of his neck.

"Neither could I." His father approached closer and back hugged Ken, nudging his head, and ruffling his hair.

"You little rascal you! I never would have imagined you are able to do that! But boy was I shocked to see you do it, and you're still 4 years old, haha!" Alfred carried Ken and threw him to the air, catching him back on the fall. Giggles and laughter's of the three filled the field, rejoicing vulgarly.

"Okay papa, you can put me down now, it's embarrassing, especially when Wilbert is watching." *chuckles*

Alfred nods and smiles back at his son and set him down on the ground. He looked at Wilbert and said.

"Now it's your turn Wilbert, show me what you've got."

Wilbert spurting the same enthusiasm as Ken, he positioned himself far away from them and held out his hand, he concentrated on the image of creating a flame while looking at his hands, and in just moments, a ball of fire the size of a regular of fist engulfed into existence on top of his hands.

Wilbert smiled and wanted to rejoice with glee when he accidentally threw the fire ball into the air, and exploded mid flight, the three got shoocked and panicked at the sudden explosion, the air was heavy with tension.

They looked at each other and started to laugh out loud, Ken was now rolling on the dirty ground, while Alfred was looking at the sky, and Wilbert was using one of his hands to cover his face to stop the barrage of laugh's.

Soon their laughter died out, the three of them calmed down for a bit and silence once again engulfed the fields.

Ken got up cheerfully and exclaimed in a loud voice.

"Papa! Can I try something?" Alfred looked at him in attention.

"Well, sure, go ahead." Alfred sprouted a smile unconsciously.

Ken positioned himself facing away from the two and held out both of his hands and closed his eyes concentrating, suddenly a large ring of fire was conjured on the ground in front of him, Ken opened his eyes and marveled at what he had done.

He directed the ring of fire to rise and rotate creating a cylinder like shape, while also not leaving a trace of it on the ground, he stopped it mid-air but continued the rotation and keeping the cylinder shape.

Now he willed it to turn faster, and it did, it now looked like a concrete pillar of flames, he then converged it to one another and burst it open, a strong wave of force impacted the three of them but not enough to make them fall off of their feet, but strong enough to make them step back a little.

"Woah!" The two acknowledged Ken's performance and gave a small applause.

"Hehe."

Alfred continued to mentor the two of them, and soon enough, both were casting spells after spells, the basic ones, but because Ken is a risk taker at hand, he conjured waves of water out of thin air with water magic,

Propelled objects into the air with wind magic, summoned huge boulders from the surface of the earth with earth magic and created massive balls of fire and propelled them forward to burst at a long distance.

Following Ken's lead, Wilbert tried some techniques of his own, he conjured wind blades as sharp as swords to cut through branches of trees, created a flamethrower that burned a path in front of him, created water bullets that punctured holes at a nearby tree, and pulled rocks from the earth to impale a bark of a tree.

Explosions and shock waves could be heard from a distance, and one curious person heard of it, and decided to check the source of such phenomenon.

----------

"Wilbert! I created a new technique! check this out!" said Ken, calling out to his, in an overly excited manner, well, who could blame him for getting addicted to casting so many spells in one day? The feeling was similar to heaven.

"Sure what is it?" replied Wilbert, approaching him.

"It's a wind type of magic that goes spreads to my surroundings and casts a burst of wind through every direction." said Ken, spreading his arms wide with that huge smile on his face.

"Oh what do you call it?" inquired Wilbert curiously.

"Wind Magic: SURVEILLANCE SWEEP!!!” a magic circle the color of light green formed below his feet.

Bursts of winds went on every direction, with the sheer power of the wind he conjured his friend was looking like he was about to complain due to the immense power and energy the wind is emitting.

A funny sight for Ken at his friends face getting pulled backwards.

"WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ken abruptly stopped channeling his spell from the loud cry.

He looked around for the source but then heard a thud north of their location. Both of them looked at the direction then at each other and back.

"What do you think could that be?" said Wilbert.

"I don't know. Let's go check it out." both him and Wilbert ran at the north part of the field, and in seconds Alfred was by their side too.

they stopped at the edge of the forest and scanned the area. A faint grunt of… pain?

"Found it!" exclaimed Wilbert.

"Oh good, you found it, what is it then?" both Ken and Alfred approached the scene and looked at whatever Wilbert was referring to.

"It's a girl" said Alfred.

‘Oh okay, a girl, wait, what is a girl doing out here in the middle of the forest?’
