Finally

We went to the auditorium to sign up for college and he showed up late. Josh just sat by me and played with the pencil in his hand. I felt upset that he didn't know what he wanted in life but I was sad that I was doing sonething I didn't want to do. Time is up and it's time to take action. Whenever, I was done I didn't want to make eye contact with him. Honestly, what could I say? I was lost in life just like him and I was no better than him.

Josh whispered "Can we go out to eat?"

I nodded my head as I knew he needed to take a rest of all this stress that was caused. After, the bell rang for lunch we left to get some tacos and went to the football field. We sat on the bleachers and ate there.

"I'm upset with myself too." He said looking up at me disappointed.

I said "You will have a great future anyways. Your parents will help you in any way they can to see their son succeed."

Josh said "I think I'll work with my dad but I probably won't like it."

"Josh you haven't even tried it." I said.

Josh frustratingly said "I don't want to be like him though."

I held his hand and said "Then don't. You see his mistakes then don't make them. Try to come up with solutions and try to be different than him."

Silence took over for a few seconds and he said "I wish the future was clear."

I felt the same exact way and Josh seemed so different now.

"Sorry, I think I'm just panicking for no reason but I just really want to work in something I really love." He said blushing and covering up his face.

I put my food down and hugged him.

"I'm here." I said comforting him.

The bell rang and I looked at him disgusted.

"How is the bell ringing already!" I shouted very upset.

Josh laughed and said "We can be late."

"Uh, no! We need to graduate atleast from here." I said giving him the look.

He smiled and said "Take your taco then and let's go."

I sighed and began to eat it quickly. We rushed into the school and tried to make it before the bell rang. We began to get our schedule for final exams and it stressed me out. I looked back at Josh and he was just smiling. "Yep! He's back." I whispered to myself.

"After, finals are done then it will be prom night and then graduation." The principal said through the announcements.

I didn't look back at Josh because I didn't want to go. I loved him but that wasn't really my style. I began to doodle on my notebook and think about how we already had done Spanish's exam. Just a few more to go and we're through. We left class and he called out my name. I didn't want to look at him but I knew I had too.

"I'm going home to study." I said before heading to the buses.

Josh asked "Don't you want me to drop you off?"

I couldn't say no and keep avoiding him. I left with him in his car.

"What's wrong?" He asked as I didn't sing like I usually did.

"Final exams get me like this." I said very serious.

Josh wanted to smile as he asked "Do proms get you like this too?"

I sighed and said "I don't want to break your heart but please don't ask me to go."

Josh parked the car on the side and looked at me very shocked.

"What?!" He asked very surprised.

I even was shocked to how he pulled on the side of the road which made me nervous. Maybe, this meant so much to him and I was being selfish. But no one can make us do things we don't want.

"I'm sorry but I don't want to go with you or anyone." I said kind of scared.

Josh sighed really loud like if he had just found peace in his heart.

"What?" I asked very confused.

Josh chuckled and said "I didn't want to go either."

"Really?!" I asked very happy.

He nodded his head with relief.

"Why?" I asked smiling.

"Cause I don't know how to dance and I don't really like that stuff." He informed me.

I said "I want to focus on my exams but if your down to do something different then I'm done to do it, afterwards."

Josh kissed my cheek and asked "Are you now coming up with the adventures?"

I laughed and said "This is what I have learned from you."

"So much more that we need to learn from one another." He said driving again.

I said "Yes! So much more to learn and love."

He couldn't stop smiling and neither could I. Until, we got to the front of my house and it was time to say goodbye.

"Let's never say goodbye to eachother." He said before I could even speak.

"Deal." I said sticking out my pinky for him to interlock with.

He laughed and I let go.

"Could I see you tonight for a goodnight kiss?" He asked.

"Alright, but text me when you get here." I said before getting off the car.

I went inside the house and the studying began. My neck was stiff and my brain hurt so much. It was already night time and I waited for his text. I opened up my window and head out onto the roof.

I nervously sighed "Tonight, I'll tell him."

I waited for him and he finally got there. We admired the stars and we didn't mind the silence. I had to break it though by telling him about myself.

I sat up and said "I have to tell you something."

He immediately sat up and asked "What is it?"

I looked at him very serious and scared that he would leave me. I knew I shouldn't had got so attached to him but he was such an amazing person. I didn't want to let go of him if I had too.

"It's about me." I said as my hands sweat.

Josh said "Wren, it's ok."

I sighed and said "You'll think I'm weird or crazy but I'm not."

"I love you either way." He quickly interrupted me.

"Remember, when your car battery died?" I asked.

Josh nodded his head but looked confused.

"Remember, when that plastic cut the back or your arm at the beach?" I asked my last question.

Josh frowned his eyebrows and said "Yeah."

"I knew about it." I said and I could feel my throat drying up.

"What?" He asked very confused.

I nodded my head and looked away. I couldn't continue looking at his pure soul.

"I knew that it would happen." I added.

"How?" He asked trying to understand what I was trying to explain.

"When, I dream they tend to come true. It's like I get these signs that these things will happen but I can't prevent them from occurring. It doesn't matter if I would have told you either way it would have occured." I told him as I felt my heart at a unease rate.

Josh raised an eyebrow and said "Wow! I think that's a blessing. Not anyone can predict the future."

I looked away awkwardly and asked "You think I'm weird huh?"

Josh smiled and said "No, I don't but I'm jealous of you. I wish I could dream things that would come true."

"Mhm." I said unbelievably.

He laughed and asked "Don't believe me?"

I shrugged and said "I can't really tell if you lying."

Josh put his arm around me and said "I'm serious. I love you either way. Nothing has changed except that I think I'm more attracted to you."

I laughed as I couldn't believe him and said "Ok let's leave it to that."

"What will we do for prom?" He asked.

I pulled away and asked smiling bigger "You want me to come up with something fun? Don't you?!"

He shrugged teasingly and said "I could come up with something if you can't."

I sighed and said "Let me think about it."

Josh kissed my cheek and said "Ok but if nothing pops up then it's ok. Well, I'm going home already for classes tomorrow."

He looked kind of worried now and I said "We can do this."

He glanced back at me and said "Your right."

He left and I was left alone. I laid back in my bed and wondered about what could we do instead of dancing all night.

As, I got up early in the morning to go to school an idea popped in my head as I put on my shoes. I couldn't stop smiling as I could already feel us having there.

"Woah! Why are you so excited for the exams?" Josh asked as he pulled away from the drive thru.

I shouted in excitement "I know where we could go instead of prom."

Josh looked surprised and asked "Where?"

I said "It's a surprise."

Josh pouted and asked "What? No! Don't make me wait."

I said "To bad! I'll take you there Friday night."

He squinted his eyes and had no choice but to agree. "Fine but I can't wait."

I had so much fun teasing him before Friday night came and when Friday came I felt really insecure.

"I'm here already and now you don't want to take me. Why?" He asked trying to understand my mood switch.

"What if I only think it's exciting?" I asked getting very embarrassed.

Josh kissed my forhead and said "I don't think so. Let's stop wasting time and let's go."

He said as he began to jump and hold my hands. I started to giggle and that just got me going with the plan. I got in the car and I began to drive.

I asked "Remember, when we first met?"

Josh glanced away blushing and said "I was in this very seat when it all began."

I nodded my head as I couldn't stop smiling and said "I'm so happy that I stopped to help you."

Josh asked "Imagen if you didn't."

I sighed and said "Honestly, I wasn't but I felt so much regret by just thinking about it."

Josh gasped and said "Wow! Well, atleast you helped me and didn't keep driving. Unless, if you regret it now?"

I gasped and said "No! I don't regret anything."

We both smiled and continued to where I would take him. He turned up some different slow music and I didn't mind. Felt stress still in me after all those exams.

"Don't think it's the best place but I just thought it would be fun." I said before making a turn to our destination.

He looked at the place and said shockingly "Roller skating! My parents met at a roller skating rink and then they brought me to it later on."

I gazed at him how he looked shocked but he was just amazed at the surprise. I loved that he seemed to love it and I got off the car.

"I was so nervous you wouldn't like it." I said getting pumped up.

Josh said "Are you kidding me?! I love it even till this day! I didn't even want to leave the rink when they would announce it was time to close!"

I felt like his eyes shined brighter as he kept talking about childhood memories but then I saw him getting upset.

"I didn't bring you here to get upset or sad." I said pulling him inside the building.

Josh said "Sorry, it's just now for some unknown reason. I miss them?"

"Really?" I asked shocked and confused.

He nodded his head slowly "I don't really know why but now, I know how you felt when your parents left."

"When did your parents begin to stop making memories with you?" I asked.

Josh said "Right when my dad made his own business. Which I was very young and then I grew older and they began to travel. I mean I could too but school."

I pulled his arm with me into the locker room to get some roller skates and tried to change the subject.

"So, you're good at this?" I asked with a smirk.

"I am. How about you?" He asked smirking back.

"I'm pretty good at it." I said as I put on the roller skates.

"Why did you pick this place?" He asked with curiosity.

I stood up and answered "I imagined us laughing together so loud and holding hands with awesome music in the background. Can't forget about the pizza of this place and the prizes."

He stood up and said "I literally imagined this already."

I softly smiled and we got into the rink. He held out his hand for me to hold onto and I did. Honestly, I was clinging onto his whole arm and just skating right by him very closely. More and more people joined us. We said we wouldn't dance but we did throw some dance moves in there. He sang every music genre that was put on and I was just amazed by his skills. Was there something he couldn't do? Could I love him more then I already did? I still wondered how this all could ever end.

"This pizza is so good!" He gushed at it's beautiful features.

I couldn't take him serious but our nights were successfully the best ones we could have ever had.

"Oh! Forgot our waters! Be right back." He said before leaving and I took advantage of going to the bathroom. I left and when I came back he was already sitting at the table. I sat across from him and smiled. I got some water and began to drink out of it.

"I got you something." He said trying to hold back his smile.

"More pizza?" I asked confused.

"What? No. Wait, do you want more?" He asked as we were now deciding to get more pizza. But he got right back to where he was once I confirmed I didn't want any anymore.

He held up a stuff animal and it was a baby lion.

"I love this!" I excitingly shouted as he gave it to me.

"Lions means strength and courage." He softly said.

I admired it more than Josh and gushed at it with so much gratitude.

"Thank you." I softly said.

On the speakers a heads up was given that they would close in 30 minutes. Josh looked down and I said trying to cheer him up "We could come again one day."

He glanced back up me with a soft smile and said "I'd love too."

We went to put on our shoes and turn in the skates. We got in the car and I drove off.

"I can't wait for summer." I randomly said.

Josh laid back the seat and said "Actually, I'm trying out for a football team after graduation."

I raised my eyebrows and said "Really?! I'll be there to support you in any way I can."

Josh laughed really loud and said "I haven't even tried out."

I shrugged and said "I don't care. I know you'll make it and be the best in the team."

Josh with so much confidence said "Uffff! I love how you have so much faith in me."

We both laughed and I could see him blush more than usual.

"Don't get shy. I'm serious you're so good at like everything." I added as I gave him more comfort and support.

Josh said "Thank you, Wren for everything."

I frowned and asked "Why you make it sound like goodbye?!"

Josh said "I'm not! But I just want you to know how grateful I am to have someone like you and forever."

I blushed and said "Now, you're making me blush, JOSH!"

"It's true!" He said grabbing my hand and kissing the back of it.

He didn't want to let go once we made it to his house and said "I'll see you tomorrow at the graduation ceremony."

I nodded my head and we kissed.

"Wow! Your lips are so warm." I said touching my lips.

Josh sarcastically said before leaving "You made me blush so much you made my lips feel like that."

I left him but my heart was still with him. I went to sleep early so I would get enough rest for graduation as it would be in the midday.

I didn't wake up to early nor to late as I still needed to do my hair and make up. I got my dress and my heels. Last but not least my cap and gown. I sighed as I left with my parents and then I wondered about Josh's parents. We made it to the location and I looked for him. When I found him, I found him with his parents and they looked at him very proud. He quickly turbed and made eye contact with me. It was like he knew I was staring at him and he began to wave his hand at me. Me and my parents went to them. I was so scared and nervous to be around them especially his mom.

"Hello, you must be Wren's parents?" She politely rose her hand up to shake my parents hand.

"And you must be Wren?" She asked looking at me.

I glanced my eyes away from Josh's and back to hers. "Yes ma'am." I said shaking her hand.

Josh grabbed my hand and said "Let's go find our seats."

We left our parents for they could go find seats so they could take pictures of us. We all waited for our names to be called out one by one.

One thing we all seniors usually, said at the end was "Finally."
