My Manager ; My First Love

When the other employees and Miles heard this they all started feeling scared. They all knew that he had a strained relationship with his mother.


' Poor thing. God knows what will he do to her', this was running through everyone's mind.


" Yes", she replied. Everyone was shocked by her confidence. What he did next made all of their, including Lara's, jaws drop.


Liam pulled her into a tight hug and was holding her. Lara's entire system was shocked by the sudden physical contact and she dropped her phone. Her body stiffened and eyes widened.


He was hugging her so tightly that the little bit of oxygen that was left after the shock also got pushed out of her lungs.


The other employees were equally stunned. Their jaws dropped and eyes widened in surprise. Miles was flabbergasted.


Lara did not know what to do. The only thing that came into her mind was to calm him down. She gently patted his back.


She then gave a pleading look to Miles, who was standing next to her. He quickly got out of the shock and said while pulling him away from her," Bro calm down. Let's speak in your office. Lara, you too".


Liam left her reluctantly and started walking towards his office with Miles. Lara quickly regained her composure and then picked her phone and followed them.


The other employees got out of their daze only when they heard the door get closed. They decided to ask Lara what happened once she came out.


Liam was shocked when he saw his mother at his doorstep in the morning. She was crying. He ushered her in and listened to her. Both of them apologized to each other and hugged. He was really happy.


Then his mother told him about how Lara had met them and revealed the recording to them. He was surprised. Then he remembered the promise she had made the other night. He felt so happy that he quickly ate breakfast and rushed to the office to thank her.


After they walked in, Liam mercilessly kicked Miles out of the office. He was surprised beyond limits. Inside Liam kept thanking her.


He then relaxed after a few minutes of speaking." I'll ask Levy to reschedule your meetings for the morning. Take some time to yourself and relax boss", she said with a smile and stepped out.


She was surrounded by the other employees the minute she stepped out. They were about to ask questions when a woman came and hugged her tightly.


When they saw her face they were startled. It was Emily.


After speaking to her son she was feeling very emotionally overwhelmed. She wanted to speak to someone and Lara was the first person that came to her mind. So she rushed to the office.


This was another shock to Lara. But she got out of it faster than before. She then asked Emily to sit in her chair and gestured others asking them to wait for a few minutes.


She then spoke to Emily who also poured her heart out. After few minutes she was back to normal. She hugged her and left.


" Phew… To much emotional drama for a day", she mumbled and sighed. She was about to be approached by the others but she quickly said," Just give me five minutes, I'll then tell you".


She then went to the balcony and stretched. She was glad that there was a balcony and breathed fresh air.


" What exactly happened?", a voice asked from beside her. She was so lost in her thoughts that she was startled when she heard the voice.


She sighed when she turned and saw than it was Miles. She smiled and said," I kind of solved their dispute".


Miles was looking at the woman in front of him with an awestruck look.


' This girl came here less than three weeks ago and solved a dispute that was lasting for over two years???', this was running in his head. He didn't know what to say. He was awestruck completely.


" Whoa", he finally managed to speak. She nodded and was looking ahead.


After few minutes she went back in. She was instantly bombarded with questions. She managed to answer few questions, but she kept the details to herself.
