15. Fiancé

It has been a few days since the incident with Liam. Things have been working well. One day Liam gave her a photo of a woman and said," Do not let this woman or anyone else in no matter what".

She took the photo and nodded. He left followed by Miles. They were discussing about an important project.

The woman looked like she was in her mid – twenties. Her facial features showed signs of plastic surgery. She looked quite beautiful.

Lara did know who she was. How could she easily forget her college mate. She just sighed and got back to work.

After sometime a woman sashayed into the office. When Lara looked up she saw that it was the woman in the photo. She looked like a model.

Lara went and blocked her path and said," Ma'am please leave. I have been instructed to not let you in. So please."

Rose was a supermodel. She had been after Liam for quite some time trying to get his attention. She was one of the few woman who persisted in getting him even after being rejected and ignored multiple times.

This was the first time she had been blocked by a person. She looked at her with disgust and said," Bitch who do you think you are to stop me? I am his fiancé. If you stop me I'll make sure that you will not find a job in this country."

This attracted quite attention. Other employees looked up from their desks to see how Lara would react. She looked like an angel so they did not expect her to kick her out. So they waited.

Lara took a deep breath in trying her best to control herself and answered," First, I am his manager and not a servant at whom you can swear at. I hope to keep this conversation in a respectful manner.

Second, fiancé or wife, I don't care. I was asked not to let you in so I am not going to let you in. Third, about you kicking me out of this country, let me tell you this, even if you throw me out of here I'll just go to another company as I receive new job offers everyday even though I already work here.

So you will not be able to keep me unemployed. So miss please leave before I have to call security."

Rose was very stunned, no one had dared to talk to her like this. She had always been a spoilt brat and everyone listened to her. Being scolded by Lara made her angrier and she screamed," Trash", and pushed her.

Lara hadn't expected her to get physical, so she lost balance and her stomach hit the table. But she quickly got herself back.

She looked at Rose with a dark expression but with the blink of an eye she calmed herself. Only Liam noticed and he was surprised by how quickly she could control herself.

By the time she turned, Rose had reached the door to Liam's office. Lara went in after her and said to Liam," Boss I am extremely sorry that I couldn't hold her back. She is way beyond what I can handle. She's all yours."

With that said she turned on her heel and left. While leaving she could hear Liam cursing Rose. She shut her ear and walked out.

His office was soundproof, so nothing was heard outside. All the others approached her and asked," Lara are you alright? Does your stomach hurt?"

Lara had forgotten about falling while going after Rose." Yeah I am alright. Sorry for worrying you", she replied. Even though she did feel some pain, she tried to hide it. She went back to work.

After a while, a dejected Rose stepped out of Liam's office. Lara looked at her with a ' I warned you look' and shrugged her shoulders and continued to work.

This action made Rose even more mad. Levy was carrying coffee for Liam and Miles, Rose picked a coffee cup from him and started walking towards Lara.

She acted as though she was loosing balance and was going to drop the coffee on her, but at the right moment Lara pushed the coffee cup back and it fell over Rose. Rose was stunned by this and shrieked.

The others who were watching Rose walk towards Lara were worried. But when they saw the way she handled her, they saw a new respect forming for her.

" Send someone in here to clean. A woman is walking around spilling coffee", Lara picked her phone and said. This angered Rose very much and she wanted to scream at her.

But she decided to shut up because from the CCTV it would be clear that she was the one causing problems and not her. She said a big humph, thumped her foot and left.

Both Miles and Liam who watched this were left dumbfounded. When Liam saw Rose walk towards Lara with coffee, he was about to get up and give her a tight smack. But when he saw the way she reacted he sat back with a grin on her face.

' Smart and courageous. Hmmmm…. You keep impressing me Lara.', he thought. He then remembered seeing the glint of darkness in her eyes. It somehow sent chills down his spine.

Word about this incident spread really fast. They wanted to know what Rose would do to cause Lara troubles.

But they did not know one thing that both Rose and Lara were college mates. And Rose always hated her because all the guys were attracted to her even though she did nothing and none of them even looked at her when she was there.
