Miles put his hand on his forehead in defeat." You can do it bud… Go for it….. Be calm.. She will not eat you… Relax…. Deep breath in. Deep breath out…. Phew..", he said to himself.

After giving himself a few condolences and compliments, he managed to bring together a bit of his shattered confidence. He jumped a few times and patted his own shoulder before getting in.

What he didn't know was that Maria had seen all his silly actions from inside the car. She chuckled looking at how he was behaving like a kid.

He got in and quickly started the car without wasting any time. The entire drive was consumed by silence. They soon reached their destination.

Phoenix Mall.

Phoenix Mall was one of the most famous attractions in Country A. It was known for its unique abstract architecture and this made it one of the most prominent names in the list of the best architectural monuments.

It was said that the architect of the mall, Mr. Smith, was inspired by a dream he had while he was travelling by train to a village in the countryside.

Maria excitedly jumped off Miles's car when she saw their destination. She immediately pulled her phone out and clicked a few snaps. She decided to use it as her Instagram feed for the day.

Miles just smiled seeing how excited Maria looked. He let her admire the exterior of the mall for a while before speaking.

" The interior is much more beautiful… So shall we go in??.", he asked. Maria turned to him with an excited face and nodded." Yes!!", she exclaimed.

Miles walked into the mall along with an excited Maria. He could walk freely without being afraid of being spotted in this mall as being paparazzi-free was one of its unique features that attracted the rich and famous.

They went from shop to shop buying things. Miles officially became Maria's shopping bag holder. Even though he was quite tired he liked it because he saw how the husbands of other women were also carrying their bags.

He felt like he was her husband and this made him happy.

During their shopping spree Miles tried to pay for her but she always refused and paid for everything herself. So while they were sitting for lunch, Miles said that he would pay for the lunch and wouldn't accept anything otherwise.

Maria just sighed in defeat in front of Miles's determined face.

Both of them were extremely exhausted and so had a heavy lunch. Maria was chatting away through the entire lunch. On the other hand, Miles was just busy admiring her face.

Since Maria felt that she wanted to buy some more stuff they went for another round of shopping. By the time they stepped out, Maria's bank balance had a big hole in it and the sun had started to set.

" Um… Maria.. If you have some free time, I would like to take you to see a beautiful place…", he asked hesitantly while putting his seat belt on.

Maria considered his proposal for a few seconds before replying." Lara will mostly be late today…. And I will be jobless at home… So okay, I am in!!", she replied.

Miles smiled and started his car.

They drove for a few minutes before stopping near a park. After stepping out, Miles said," Come on. Follow me…"

They walked through the crowd of various couples towards a certain attraction. The crowd was becoming thinner when they neared it.

Lake Amora.

This lake was situated in the middle of Country B. It was known for its beautiful view of the setting sun. Even after being polluted through the years, it beauty had no stain.

Maria smiled in awe. She was sure it was one of the most beautiful sights she had seen.

" Lake Amora….", Miles said with a smile. He took a deep breath in, inhaling the natural essence in the air. Even Maria did the same.

" It's beautiful…", Maria said with a smile. Miles smiled looking at her smile." One of my favourite destressing points…. But it looks much more beautiful with a beautiful woman accompanying me…", Miles replied.

Maria blushed at his comment. There was silenced after that. The two of them looked at the sunset for a few more minutes before returning home.

Miles dropped Maria at Lara's home and left.
