My Manager ; My First Love

Lara laid Maria's head on her lap. She noticed the dried tears on her cheek. She felt as if someone was squeezing her heart.


" I am sorry sis.. I am sorry. I couldn't protect you…. I should have checked on the guy before… I am sorry…", she slowly muttered with her head held low.


A few tears flowed down her cheeks. She quickly wiped them away before the other two could see them.


The two guys sitting in front of her could clearly hear her because of the silence in the car. Liam felt his heart clench seeing her tears through the rear-view mirror.


Lara then tried looking for Maria's phone in her handbag. She found it in the bottom of the bag.


She pulled it out and tried to turn it on. She saw that the phone was dead and got to know the reason why her calls weren't answered. She put the phone back in.


She sighed and rested her head on the headrest. She was looking outside at the nightlights of the country. Her hands were gently stroking Maria's hair.


Miles was staring at Maria through the side mirror the entire ride. He couldn't take his eye off her…


Both the guys stepped out first and then helped Lara bring Maria out.


Both of them supported Maria by throwing her hands over each of their shoulders. They slowly walked towards Lara's door while dragging her.


Just when they reached the door, Maria gained consciousness.


" Hmm…", she hummed while looking at the two ' poles ' carrying her. The two guys stopped when they heard her. Even Lara stopped and turned around.


" Am I in heaven??... hiccup… Such handsome boys…. Are you angels??...Hiccup…. Are you taking me for my trial??.. I have not committed any sins…. Tell God to help me fulfil the wish of punishing that cheater…..", she was blabbering.


Lara stared at Maria in complete disbelief. Even both Liam and Miles were looking at Maria in confusion.


The next thing that happened was something none of them had ever even dreamt of. A disaster that was completely unexpected and one that couldn't be averted.


Maria threw up on Miles and Liam. She then let out a contended sigh and went back to sleep. Both of them froze that instant.


Lara covered her mouth in utter shock. This was the last thing she had expected to take place.


She immediately apologized on her behalf." I am sorry… So so sorry…", she said.


" It's okay….", Liam replied in an uncertain tone.


Lara quickly went towards the door and opened it." Come in", she said while opening the door.


Lara quickly opened the door to her room. The guys laid her down on the bed.


" I am so sorry… As it is already late and as an apology please stay over at my place for the night…", she said after closing the door.


Liam and Miles nodded their heads in agreement.


Lara quickly went in and got them toiletries." I don't have guys stuff… You will have to adjust with these…. And… I have pants that might fit you, but no shirts…. So you will have to wear the bathrobe instead…", she said while handing them the stuff.


" It is alright.", Miles said while taking the toiletries from her hand.


" There are two bathrooms… One of you can take the one in the next room and the other can take the one just ahead of the room… Please leave your clothes outside so that I can put it to wash…


I'll make something for us to eat… So quickly freshen up…", Lara said while shaping them the bathrooms.
