chapter 10

     What is that sound? Antra asked as we heard a sound from the kitchen

    We stood up from the sitting room to check together. On getting there, we discovered it is Maggie who is trying to get out of  the room.

    I went to open the door and picked her up, it was easy for me to get to her since the room is adjoined to the kitchen.

   I dropped her on the counter and proceeded to feed her . She happens to be in her good mood today because after feeding her, she went straight into Antra's arms and started playing with her earrings which brought a wide smile on Antra's face.

   She is adorable, Antra said facing me

   I told you that she would use her charm on you sooner or later, I said to her with a matching smile

  Honk!!!Honk!!!!Honk!!!!! We heard the sound of a car horn.

   Who would that be? Antra asked confused

   It would be your boss, I replied her

  No, he isn't going to be home at this time if he is the one, she said

   Alright, let's wait to see who would appear, I said hoping there is no problem

   Around that time, we heard the sound of the bell go off which signaled that the person is at the door which wouldn't be Antra's boss because he wouldn't ring the bell he would have just entered.

  Antra handed Maggie to me as she went to check who is at the door.

  I heard muffled voices from where I am before a woman entered. She is dressed in a blood red body hug mini gown, matched with black heels and black clutch. She has on a blood red lipstick. In my opinion that dressing would have been appropriate for a club but I won't be the one to tell her that.

  Shortly after she made her appearance, Antra followed in look upset. She just ignored the woman and came straight to the kitchen, when she got closer I realized there were unshed tears in her eyes.

  What's wrong? I asked wondering what they could have talked about to make Antra soo upset.

  Nothing, we should just eat, she said avoiding my eyes

   Are you sure it is nothing, it doesn't look like nothing to me, I said said still worried

    I am su... She was saying before the woman entered the kitchen. We turned to face her as she sized us up as if we are just pieces of trash in her eyes.

        Are you not taught how to treat guests? I came in here in this hot weather and you can't even bother to get me something to drink?? I wonder where Benny got you both from... Two maids but you guys are useless

     You should bring my drink to me before I I reach the living room if not you two kiss your jobs good bye, she as she sashayed back to the living room.

  I turned to see Antra trying to hold back  her tears.

I would take it to her, I offered and dropped Maggie on the floor and took the jug from the refrigerator and filled a glass before taking it to her

  After coming back, I decided not to comment on her behavior and decided to give her space and allow her tell me when she is ready.

   Ben came back about four hours later, the wan was in his room sleeping which would make me guess they have some history together.

  When he came in, Antra wouldn't even acknowledge his presence which is strange to me and to her boss too

   What's wrong? he asked

   Your girlfriend is here to see you, she said with anger

  My girlfriend?? He asked obviously confused

   Why don't you go to your bedroom to see her, she replied I'm a tone that didn't look like a maid reporting to her boss but that of a jealous girlfriend.

  My bed...he was saying before I stopped listening as the sound of Maggie crying took me from the scene to tend to her.

  What is it my baby? I asked Maggie as soon as I picked her up. Will you stop crying for momma? I cooed as I rock her front and back gently. She started to quieten down, are you hungry uhnn? I asked as I pulled her cheek gently. Not wanting to take her to the scene, I decided to go bring her food into the room.

   As I entered the kitchen, I got the shock of my life. I saw Ben and Antra making out on the counter. It was soo intense that they didn't notice my presence. I quickly took Maggie's food and left the kitchen not wanting unwanted attention on me.

  As soon as I was safely in the room, I smiled to myself knowing I am going to get the full gist out of Antra out of Antra whether she likes it or not.

  After feeding Maggie, we decided to play her favorite game of tea party. After having to pretend to drink from tiny plastic cups, Maggie decided it is time to doll me up as she brought her collection of ribbons and tied it to my hair, she wore a tiara on my head as she dressed as the guard of the princess. She pretended to fight enemies who wants to steal me away.

I know it will be strange that a young girl like Maggie would choose to be a guard instead of a princess but that's Maggie for you. Her health has been getting better and she is opening up which is soo great that I would through this torture of having my hair tangled if it means I woul get to see her gorgeous smile all the time.

  Wit was late in the evening before Antra came back to the room, I woke up to see her as me and Maggie fell asleep after playing. Maggi is in her arms sd she struggled to keep her from pulling her lips which I find funny.

  Antra, I said as I sat up

  Hey, she said as she keeps Maggie's hands away from her lips long enough to answer

  Maggie!! Stop that now, I said as I stared directly at her so she would know I smiled not joking. She huffed as she got off Maggie to go play with  her at the end of the room.

   Sooo, I asked Antra as I wiggled my eyes

  Soo , she asked not getting me

  I huffed not liking the fact that I have to explain. What is going on between you and Ben? I asked her with a teasing smile

  I don't understand what you are talking about, she tried to deny

   There is no need to lie, I saw you two in the kitchen the other time, I said my voice teasing her

   I don't know what you are talking about, she said not meeting my eyes

   So you want to play the ignorance card? No problem I would go ask Ben directly, I said pretending to stand up

  Alright I would tell you, she said  holding my hand to keep me back

  Am waiting, I said wiggling my eyes which made her blush hard

  We are dating, she said

  Despite the fact that I already suspected that, it still didn't reduce the surprise I am feeling at the moment.

  Really?? I asked. I am Soo happy for you, I said as I hugged her tightly

  But who is that lady? I asked recovering from my momentary excitement

   She is his friends younger sister who is obsessed with him. He already sent her away. She explained

  So you guys really did get down at it uhnn?I asked as I nudged her shoulder with mine as I used my best teasing voice on her

  If she were to be a white, she would be as red as a tomato. I would kill you today, she said as she turned to me ready to pounce on me but I scrambled out of her grasp laughing.....
