What? Did I say her name out loud? He asked flustered

Yes you did and I want to please know where you know Neil from and why you are looking at my daughter like that, I said raising my eyebrow, a skill I learned from Maggie

We were friends back then and I was surprised to see the resemblance between the two of them but it is nothing more than that, he said

Ok then, I said with a smile

Mummy!! Who is he? Maggie asked me as she stared at him curiously

Well, he is the man who is going to help you get better, I said to her with a small smile.

Is he the doctor? Why is he not wearing the white gown? She asked innocently

He is not a doctor but he is going to give us what we need to help you get better. And it is not a gown, it is a coat, I explained slowly

What is he going to give us? She asked curiously

Why don't you stop asking questions and say thank you to him? I said nodding towards James

Hey, my name is Maggie and thank you for helping my mummy and I, she said in such a smart way that had me doubting her young age . She's just too smart for her age

Nice to meet you Maggie and it is my pleasure, James said softly with a soft smile

You are cute, Maggie said to which we all laughed

Alright Maggie, we are all going to leave now Soo Maggie would get some rest, Ben said as they are starting to file out.

Okay, I will walk you all out, I said as I stood up

There will be no need for that, we will do just fine, Antra said as she hugged me and kissed Maggie on her forehead.

Fariya calm down, everything is going to be fine, Antra said as we stood over a sleeping Maggie. The bone marrow has just been injected into her and the doctor said we have to wait for observation.

What if something goes wrong, what will I do then? I asked holding on to her hand tightly

Nothing is going to go wrong. You have to stop thinking negatively and stand up Soo we will go get something to eat,Antra scolded

Okay am going to stop worrying, I said as I wiped a lone tear from my cheek

Mummy I want to walk myself, Maggie said as we got home. She has just been discharged after 2 weeks.

Are you sure you can walk yourself? I don't want you to hurt yourself, I said unwilling to put her down

Give the girl a break Fariya, am sure she is strong enough to walk herself, besides if she can't, we are right behind her, Antra said behind me

Okay, I said as I put her down reluctantly

It wasn't hard now was it, Antra said as we walked inside after a running Maggie.

Good evening sir, I greeted Ben while Antra went ahead to hug him.

How are you Fariya? And please don't use sir for me, it makes me feel old. You can call me Ben, he said with a soft smile

Ok I won't, I said with a smile and went in search of Maggie to give them some alone time.

Can I talk to you two for a minute, I said to Ben and Antra who were in the living room

What is it Antra? Why are you looking Soo serious? Antra asked in a worried tone

You should calm down, it's not that serious. It's just that I feel it is high time Maggie and I leave. I don't mean it in a harmful way, you shouldn't misunderstand me. It's just that depending on you like this is not right. I should get a job and start thinking of our future instead of just lazing around and feeding off you. You guys have done alot for me and I will forever be grateful to you two but I can't continue to depend on you for all my needs, that's why I feel we should leave, I said feeling nervous

Oh Fariya!! Antra said coming to hug me. You shouldn't feel that way, you are not a burden to us and seeing you and Maggie here brings me great joy. You guys make the house feel less empty when Ben is gone and besides you are my best friend how can you ever think of yourself to be a burden to me. Right Ben?

Yes Fariya, how can you think to leave the house besides if you leave where are you going to. As far as I know there is no where for you to go Soo it will be better if you stay, Ben Said

But I can't stay here forever, I will have to leave one day. I know I have nowhere to go but I can find a job first and then see how it goes from there, I said trying to reason

What are you saying? Are we pressuring you to leave? And the last I checked you have a three year old with you. Will you take her to the streets with nothing just because you want to see how it goes from there, Antra said getting upset. Have I ever in anyway showed you that you are not welcomed here? She continued her voice low and hurt.

Please stay with us, you are no burd n and besides look at Antra, she is Soo upset right now, Ben said

Please!!! Antra said with pleading eyes

Okay, I said reluctantly. I don't like being a burden to people

Thank God, Antra squealed as she hugged me Soo tight I can't breathe

Easy on her Antra, she can't breathe, Ben said to which I said a silent prayer for him

Phew, you could have suffocated me, I said fanning myself with my hand dramatically which earned a laugh from them.

Stop being overdramatic jor and come with me let's go plan how we will go shopping tomorrow, she said preparing to stand up

Shopping? What for, do you have any event coming up? I asked confused

Of course not, we are going shopping for you and Maggie. Once we get you some sexy clothes with your shape, you could hook a hot guy in no time, she said wiggling her eyes lashes

You are insane, I said shaking my head in disbelief. Antra has always been the crazy one

Ohh do you think I am lying around,are you planning to be single forever? With your sexy shape you can get a hot guy, the only thing that remains to try to get you talk dirty. You talk Soo proper like you are in the ninety's, right Ben?she asked turning to Ben who looked confused as he doesn't even know what we are talking about because he had turned to watch a match on the TV.

Am I right or wrong, Maggie asked with a pointed look as if daring him to say she is wrong

Umm.... Yeah.... I guess so, he said stuttering

The answer is yes or no, Antra said facing him properly which had me smiling at how well they fit each other

You are definitely right sweetheart, he finally said as he kissed her goodnight and left the living room for us in order to avoid being in the tight spot Antra put him a while ago.

See, he says am right soo you are definitely going to go shopping with me tomorrow, right? She asked

Of course I will, I said smiling at her.

Alright goodnight, she said as she hugged me and left. I watched her retreating figure with a big smile. She and Ben are Soo lucky to have each other, they both deserve all the happiness in this world.
