Village Rubble

[Fleecy] wandering around the dark cave with [Eros]. Eventually, [Fleecy] starts to lose confidence. But in his ability to try to save the rest of those who survived the attack on the village.

[Fleecy] not being able to see anything. Only relying on two of his senses; Which is his sense of sound and touch. [Fleecy] starts to get scared, and [Eros] notices that.

So, [Eros] starts to talk to him. He tells [Fleecy], "To be a man is to not show any weakness, to anyone. Not to your loved ones, nor to any enemies or strangers."

[Fleecy] stops walking for a moment. He starts to reflect on his older brother, [Susumu] and looks back on everything he has done; Remembering the time he saved him from their house burning. That no matter what he did. He did what was necessary to save his little brother.

Even after seeing their mom's burnt-up corpse; A body pitch black, so dark and stiff. As if it was charcoal. While also seeing their dad's body have a gaping hole from the sternocleidomastoid and the trapezius muscle; to his abdomen.

All the blood pouring out of that gaping, bloody hole. Blood spraying everywhere. And to even go back and carry them. So they can have a proper grave.

Still, seeing the blood pour out and seeing their lifeless faces; While having the memories of them still smiling and being happy.

[Fleecy] had thought, "No matter what. He would never let me see them like that; Having me never look at them.

So he covered them up in burned-up blankets; Even using my blanket. He didn't want me to see them like that.

I understood that that's what happened because i can observe and watch just like anyone else.

[Susumu] understood that. And i'll never forget what happened!! I want to be a man like my brother!!!!"

[Fleecy] wipes his face from his tears. He had cried while thinking about all of that. Being six-years-old, he cries like none other.

But after such a traumatic thing had happened to him at such a young age. He can never be like every other six-year-old. It will forever change him. Both [Fleecy] and [Susumu] can never go back to how things were.

[Fleecy] then hardens himself and his will. He then tells [Eros], "A man does what he has to do. To get things done."

[Eros] smirks at him with gratitude. Similar to how a proud father or grandpa looks at their kin. They continue to move afterward. But this time [Fleecy] walks to the right of him. So he can try to find a wall.

At first, he feels something wet or moist on the wall of the cave. [Fleecy] thinks, "Ewwwwww!! Groooossss!" But then he changes how he reacts quickly.

Saying, "No! There's no time to be childish. Not after what happened." That's when [Eros] realizes that [Fleecy] understands [Susumu]'s anger. He then feels both proud and worried. Thinking, "Am i leading him down the wrong path like the others?"

[Several minutes pass by]

[Fleecy] started to adapt to his environment. That's when he felt a liquid at his feet. He quickly jumps backward out of shock.

Being surprised, [Fleecy] tries to find a way around it. That's when he feels his hand come off of the wall. He then decides to just put his hand back on the wall. Thinking, "If it's this much on the ground. Then there's no time to go around it."

[Fleecy] begins to walk through it. But he chooses to walk slowly as a precaution. Slowly going through it, making as little noise as possible; Even lifting his make-shift bag up a little. So that the liquid that goes up to his hip; doesn't touch it.

[Thirty minutes pass by]

[Fleecy] and [Eros] start to see the light. Slowly approaching it; until they're outside the cave. [Fleecy] sees the entrance that [Susumu] had made a while ago.

But this time it was broken. [Fleecy] wondered why it was. So he slowly pokes his head out of the cave and looks around. He sees no people nor animals in sight.

So he walks out slowly while crouching. He then gets on his knees and sits on the ground. Slowly looking around until he thinks he's safe. [Fleecy] then looks for where the village was at.

He sees the broken charcoal wall and runs to it; Feeling the air blow across his face and body. His short hair slowly moves in accordance with the flow of it. With his eyes locked on the destroyed village.

Being determined, he pushes his calf and thigh muscles to the limit. When he approaches the rubble, he pushes his feet forward. Because of the speed that was gathered; he slid and almost fell trying to stop.

[Fleecy] looks around in shock; Seeing no one in sight. With the sunlight shining over it. It was clear that the chance of surviving was slim.

[Fleecy] slowly drops a tear from his face. But then he holds back the rest and falls to his knees. He starts to say, "Why?"

"Just.. WHY!?" he yells.

With his lips shaking and quivering; He grits his teeth. [Fleecy] starts to feel the pressure he felt from his brother. But this time it's in his chest. He feels the heat boiling; Getting more intense and more condensed than it already was.

[Fleecy] feels rage; the rage for his parents, for the people in the village, for the other kids, for the elders of the village, and even for his brother.

He slams down his hands on the ground; Gritting his teeth. While a few tears managed to seep through his eye sockets and touch the ground. [Eros] then says, "My village was like this as well.

But that was a long time ago."

[Fleecy] freezes after hearing that. He slowly turns his head to the right; Looking at [Eros] in shock. Hearing this helps [Fleecy] realize that he wasn't the only one to experience such pain. To go through so much stress and have to endure it.

Only those who have experienced it understand.

[Fleecy] then wipes his face and stands up.

He looks forward, telling himself, "I have to accept that this happened to me.. no.... to us.

Because i'm not gonna like everything. And anyone who thinks that only everything they like should exist.

Are either crazy or insane. And i'm not gonna let myself become a mad man!

With this, i shall take revenge on those who did this.

At that point and only afterwards; They will rest."

[Eros] starts to get even more worried and less proud. Acknowledging that [Fleecy] reminds him of someone he taught. And remembering that he led to their downfall.

With this, [Eros] hopes that he doesn't go down the same path. And the biggest lesson he gives to [Fleecy] is, "You can only control the actions of you. And no one else."

With that, they continue onward into the village.
