CHAPTER 62

LATER THAT NIGHT, I wore my confident mask and headed out to have fun.

Enough of sitting around in a hotel room, licking my own wounds like a dog. I had to face this world like a lion, whether hurt or not!

"Are you going to be alright??" Adam asked. I was applying my two faced melted malt liquid lipstick in the shade lady boss. It was such a gorgeous red colour and I loved how it came out on my lips. I absolutely loved the shade of red.

"Affirmative my scaredy cat husband to be..." I popped his nose and passed by him to get a baby wipe from my purse.

"Scaredy?" he pointed out, pursing his lips and I laughed.

"I noticed my lipstick smudge on the corner..." I spoke as I wiped it off bringing out just the angle I was looking for. Perfect! I smiled and grabbed my setting spray.

"Now...some setting spray...." I winked at my reflection in the mirror before shaking the bottle and spraying it all over my face. "Aaanndd...we are done!" I giggled and covered the bottle placing it back on the table.

"Eleanor....I still can't believe you sent away an entire team of experts and professionals just so you'd do your make up alone..." he breathed and sat next to me, staring right at my face in the mirror.

"Am I not qualified enough to do my own make up??" I wrinkled my forehead and he turned me to face him.

"Why exactly did you do your make up by yourself???" he went on and I held the silver crown lying in my bed, placing it on me head.

Tonight was Kelly's long awaited for bachelorette party and she had a dress code for it which she subsequently provided.

I stood in front of the full length mirror and adored my beauty.

I was wearing a black, skin tight dress that ran down halfway my legs and a silver spiked clown in my head. Black pendulum block heels on my feet and I just loved it all. Kelly was sure a self made designer. She was going to wear the same except she would be in white and a golden crown.

My expectations were high regarding this party. I missed the previous one and I wasn't going to miss this one.

"Elly...." Adam shook my hand and this time I knew I pushed him beyond his limit. He had been patient enough.

"Is everything okay? You're doing your own make up and you seem ecstatic....not that it's a problem but am just concerned..."

Well of course I had to be ecstatic. I had exacted my revenge in that excuse of a woman and she would know how dangerous it was to mess with me. Aaron confirmed with me a few minutes ago that he had sent the picture and she surely would see it any moment.

I asked him not to communicate with me for the night and that was it. We just had to wait for the drama to unfold.

"I think life's too short to be spent in fear of the unknown. Besides, I came here for Kelly's wedding. You most certainly wouldn't like me in a corner drenched in my own pain and singing myself to sleep....??"

"Of course...." he nodded agreeably and I have him a fine kiss.

"I have to go now...." I carried my purse and walked to the amphitheater were we were meeting before leaving for the cite.

******

"Thanks for coming Eleanor...." Kelly smiled at me. As usual, she was standing in the door welcoming us in. She gave me a casual hug which I returned and thereafter handed me what seemed like a bridal package to me.

A tiny basket was wrapped with a golden lace and fastened with a glittering sash. It had my name tagged against it and I was wondered what was inside.

"A token of appreciation and Thanksgiving for coming to my wedding..." she added and I smiled while receiving it.

"Thank you...." I said and walked in to sit on the seat that equally had my name tagged to it.

I took a seat and looked around after the constant chattering of girls coaxed my attention. They had all opened their packaged and seemed to be highly impressed by what they had seen.

Their action was good enough to entice me to see my very own.

I quickly unwrapped it and found a beautiful set of bracelets. They were silver and were coated in tiny gemstones that resembled granite and glittered as light shine through them, creating a dozen rainbows. They were something I'd never seen before in my entire life.

They weren't even branded and certainly seemed to be custom made. Why would Kelly give me custom made bracelets?

I took them out and noticed they were bound by a string which also seemed to be attached to a card.

It's rough surface and golden printed roses hyped my heartbeat in a second.

I quickly untagged it and without even focusing on the message inside, turned it over to look at the back.

Just as I thought..A red Lotus.

But what was this doing with Kelly? Was she perhaps the person that had been sending me these anonymous gifts to me? But no, it couldn't be. The tone of the messages felt more masculine. It couldn't be her. But then who was it? Did she maybe know who it was? And we're these bracelets even from her or from whoever it was....?

I immediately got up, full of anxiety and walked towards her. All these questions racing up and down in my head made me nauseous despite the fact that the aroma from the kitchen was just appetising.

I approached her and my nervousness made me drop the basket. I was shivering the entire time and couldn't even compose a good statement.

What would I even be saying to her?

"Eleanor....are you alright???" she asked very concerned. She bent down and helped me pick the bracelets which even shocked her.

"You won the jackpot...." She smiled and I forced one, preventing myself from smiling. "Where did you get those??"

"What do you mean??" I asked. "You...you gave me these...."

"Me? No..." she denied. She pulled me aside and I couldn't help but cry.

"Please don't take offense but I didn't. I would never...what..I mean is...From the look of the jewelry...it's obviously an Amrit Singh type..."

"What??"

"Amrit Singh. She's a famous Indian jeweller known for 22k handcrafted ornate jewels with each a unique design. Her pieces are exquisite and unique not forgetting to die for...."

"How do you know her?? so you're not the one who gifted me these??"

"I wish I could be but no. Am not. They seem very expensive even for me and they'd cost my entire family a fortune. And Amrit is the jeweller known within the rich person ring. She's worked with my mother and other renounced royalties...."

"Oh my God..."

"The thing is I never packaged these tiny baskets by myself. Either there was a packaging error, or they're really meant for you. Someone sent these for you...." she smiled and waved a kiss.

"But...who??"

"Looks like you've got a secret admirer...." she smiled as she walked away.
