CHAPTER 63

AFTER THE MYSTERY OF THE TWO BRACELETS, I got a massive headache demanding an ice pack.

Knowing that Kelly didn't give them to me, my heart was shattered.

First it was the person constantly scaring me and on the other hand was someone who kept sending me romantic messages.

I read the one in the tiny card over and over again. 'I will never stop trying. Because when you find the one, you never give up'

This person was so adamantly pursuing me. Didn't he know his love for me was as sweet as a midnight lie and only endures for the night? It was impossible for him to ever get together with me.

I was with Adam and soon we would get married.

"Eleanor...why are you soaking alone in tears", Ayesha, the girl I met earlier asked as she sat down on the stair with me.

I didn't notice I was crying until she pointed it out.

"Um...",I started and her eyes followed mine towards the bracelet.

"You don't like your bangles??" she asked and I shook my head.

"No" I half laughed and dried my eyes. "I love them....it's just that....they're priceless and... She...Oh God...", sighed not knowing how to explain it to her.

"Aww. You beautiful hearted girl...." she hugged me and helped me to get up.

She took the bracelets out and I could see how much value they held. The gemstones looked so precious and of substantial monetary value. No prize could be tagged for their beauty was priceless.

I watched as she carefully slipped each through my wrist and turned the frown on my face into a smile.

"Is that better??",she asked and I nodded.

"Much..."

"A rose, for a rose...", she whispered and held my hand taking me back to the hall.

I was very thankful.

She helped me a big deal and I appreciated that she did.

I knew for sure that these bracelets weren't from Kelly and this red lotus guy sent them to me.

Wherever he was, thank you. I said peeking out the window and looking at the stars hoping they'd deliver my message to him.

That night, we had fun like no other. I never imagined a princess's bachelorette party would be so sick but she proved me otherwise. There was a girl in every princess and girls; they just wanna have fun.

We played so many games and had a great time like the world was coming to an end.

We did all sorts of truth or Dare(the bridal way), fun guessing games, scavenger hunts and photo booths. They all made up for great party activities because they were a lot of fun and weren't totally cheesy - or totally trashy.

We played extra racy games with a group of her friends who could couldn't, make it over Zoom, FaceTime, and Skype with Jackbox's Party Packs!!

At dawn, we divided in competing groups of three and created a fun pieces of jewelry and hair accessories for the wedding party to wear on the big day.

Exhausted from all the drama, we capped the night off by playing some drinking games and alcohol was flowing like an open fountain. We happily finished it off with a toast to the bride and then a disco.

After having so much fun, I came out learning a few things with one which stood out. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

This provided such a time to bond and learn from each other.

It was a good start to new relationships and growing the friend circle bigger. As they say, the more the merrier.

To think that we partied until 4 the next morning, was just a dream but to realise that we actually did, was a nightmare. Fortunately for us, the next day was Friday and according to Kelly's wedding plan, it was a rest day.

After two consecutive weeks of non stop entertainment, we finally needed rest in preparation for the big day; and their was only one thing that could be done. Sleep, sleep, sleep!

******

I rolled to the other side of the bed and yawned. I waved my hand in front of my mouth and opened my eyes, stretching my hands out. I sat up and got out of bed to turn the air conditioner on.

I left it on last night and how was it off??

The heat here has been unbearable and atrocious creating the kind of weather that demands you to just soak in some tub or stay in the shower.

To think that I'd actually have the air conditioner on was really unbelievable. I never liked it nor did I with a fan but this weather made them heavenly.

I opened the window and the blue ocean outside was just so attractive making me fancy hitting the waves. I could see people on their boards on the water and realised they were in luck as warm weather and light winds will provide perfect surfing conditions.

I turned back to the room after remembering my phone. I picked it and unfortunately it was off.

I quickly plugged it in, turning it on. A flood of messages and missed call notifications beeped through and I rubbed my forehead, pushing back my hair. My eyes brightened in alarm after I saw missed calls from Adam.

Conan arrived yesterday from Peru and he must be here!

"Oh God ..." I gaped and quickly dialed his number.

"Hey...Sleeping beauty? You finally awake???" he asked and I took my phone off of my ear and looked at the time. 1500hrs. Jesus!

"Uh...yeah...." I chortled as I recalled the adventures of last night.

"Open the door for me please...." he asked and I hang up and rushed to unlock it.

I caught my breath and searched my tingling skin following the attention-demanding presence of the man standing in front of me.

"Come in...." I smiled and he nodded.

"Do come in sir..." he turned his head around and I saw Conan behind him.

Thankfully I slept in my pyjamas last night.

They walked in and Adam sat on my bed while Conan sat on the couch.

I was so nervous that I wanted him to just burst open and tell me what he found. Was it Jeannine?? If not, then who was it?

"Did you find any difficulty getting here??" Adam asked and I flinched.

"We can ask him that later...." I held Adams hand and turned to Conan. "What's the name? Who's the person?

"I see you like to hit the target...."

"I have no time to waste...." I replied anxiously. My heart was racing and the only way to stop it was through him telling me the name of the person he found.

"I did find a name...." he paused and then took out his notepad. He flipped a few pages and as we waited, I squeezed Adam's had and tapped my leg on the floor on and on. I was evidently vibrating and he placed his hand on my leg calming me down.

"Ivanovich....."

"Ivanovich???" I parroted his words.

"That's right...and he's with the Russian Mafia...."
