Chapter 180: It was like magic to her...

'Hie am Eleanor...'

'Am Adam...'

'What are you doing here???'

'Am here to grow...'

'To grow????'

'Yeah....to grow my talent. Seee....?' he asked uncovering the painting he had in his hands. The little girl looked at it and seemed to like it. It was a painting of a woman.

'I call her Carolina.....' he whispered and she giggled in response to the stinging his voice left in her ear. They didn't have much time to talk as she had to go. He also needed to submit his masterpiece of an art and they waved goodbye. As she went her way, a very tall man towered over her, causing her to back away as first point response. She raised her eyes to look at him and he looked down at her like a beast.

Then, he took out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to her. Hesitant to receive at first but then decided what's the harm. She received it and noticed it was actually a tiny envelope. She smiled and spared no minute to open it.

The card was beautiful, it's colour a shade of cream and it's surface smooth. It sparkled and emitted a very delightful fragrance. She opened it and read the message that was inside. 'Dream It Possible'. As simple as it was, it melted her heart. She flipped the page over to the back and found nothing but a red lotus. Raising her head to thank the man, she was disappointed to find that he was gone.

Dazed, she span around and saw him. He said his name was Adam, she remembered. He was smiling and waving at her. She smiled back.... 'so it was him?' she thought and clung the note to her heart for it was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for her.

She watched as he took the turn and went out of sight. She still stood in her shoes and starred long enough for her to notice another boy was standing behind Adam. From his outfit, he looked like a prince. She starred at him and he starred back at her. 'He must be here for the commemoration.' she thought and turned back around to leave.

That afternoon, they met again at the snack parlour. She was excited to see him again especially after the note he had given her. She had been looking for him for quiet sometime and those little words on paper proved that it was him. Her one true love.

She realised he loved aquariums as much as she did. The water, the fish and everything was just so beautiful compiled in a glass. And to know that they both loved it was like magic to her.

In less than two hours, his heart also told him it was her. And he spared no minute to make it known to her that he found her equally attractive and beautiful: pleasing to his heart. Such finesse and detail he has never seen combined in his life. It was true that he didn't get what he had come to this place for, but in return the universe compensated him with something much better. By far, the very best. He couldn't ask for more.

Seated on a bench and enjoying their ice cream, a sudden change of weather was detected. A rush of wind came between them and pulled them apart. She closed her eyes in fear and screamed his name asking him not to leave her. To her astonishment, he was there the entire time holding her hand.

'Please don't leave me....' she begged.

'I won't....' he replied. Regardless of the situation they were in, she trusted him. She believed him and knew there was absolutely no way he would leave her. It was only five minutes since after they started dating and to know that he was never going to go away was music to her ears. She loved him very much.

Unfortunately, the universe spoke a very different language. The wind became so strong and pulled her away from him without giving them a second to say goodbyes. She screamed as she fell into what seemed like a black hole and disappeared into darkness.

To her dismay, she landed on a bed.

"Eleanor....you're awake...." A familiar voice asked. "You've been out for a whole day my dear..." She cried.

"Why are you constantly finding yourself in and out of the hospital??" A masculine voice asked. Two kids hummed in the background and chased each other around the place.

"Eleanor....are you alright? Did you have a bad dream???" She asked again in a caring manner. It took a minute for me to process what was going on. So I was dreaming about my past with Adam. Where was he?? I vibrantly woke up and looked up at the white ceiling. I sat up, still breathless and assessed my entire environment. I was surrounded by white and I thought something terrible had happened to me.

I ran my hand in my hair and found a bandage rolled around my forehead with a cotton ball at the back. It was tender to touch and I decided to let it go. I took a deep breath and remembered something that I realised I'd forgotten.

"Adam. Where is he???" I demanded.

"Hunnie...I'll take the kids out and call in the doctor...." The masculine voice I heard earlier spoke again and I realised It was Toby. Lauren's husband. The two kids in the background where their kids Maurice and Maureen. But why was Lauren here as my guardian? Where was Gemini? He was my manager he was supposed to be here with me. Did that witch Natalia do something again? And Adam. Where was he?

"Adam....Lauren...Adam..." I took off my beddings and uprooted the series of plugs that went into my skin. I jumped off the bed like a crazy woman. One by one, I threw the beddings away and looking for my phone. I teared the whole place down because I was in desperate need to talk to Adam.
