Zharina's POV
"h-how did...y-you know?" I stammered. I'm at his back and Kajik's carrying me while we're On our way to go back to the campaign site. He didn't answer so I moved a little that made him arched.
He stopped walking so my eyes opened and looked at him, "w-what happened?" I asked almost a whisper. He shook his head like he's saying that don't mind him "t-tell me, K-kajik...please" I said while catching my breath
"nevermind—"
"Laurent" I call him on his second name.
"what?" He spoke.
"c-can you spill a tea? I'm bored" I said while closing my eyes, I heard him chuckled then continued walking
"Quarter 6 pm I complete the task, We complete a task" He started. I didn't respond but I listen. "7 pm we wait for us to be complete until Goneril showed up, your partner"
"haha Eril" I murmured
"yes, she's begging for help. She's got many bruises and dirty cloth. She also said that you need help because you're missing, I don't know what exactly happened to the both of you but Im glad that you're safe" he said and arranged me at his back by pushing me upwards.
"how about you?" I said and took a deep breath. He didn't answer me again, "if you're not going to tell me, I will punch you hard after my recovery," I said that made him chuckled.
"After that, I and my male groupmates join from searching for you, it's been almost an hour but we can't still find you not until our professors called us to go back and the rescuers will the one who assigns for you. I said to them to go back and I will stay here and at the same time I found your flashlight and I think your flashlight leads me here" He said and laugh, his laugh is attractive huh, hehe just kidding.
"but before that, I need to fight with different animals—"
"You WHAT?!" I quickly opened my eyes when I heard what he said.
"tsk," it's him, and then he didn't speak again. Maybe tomorrow I will talk to him to say thank you and also Eril if how she is.
"Don't sleep, okay? we're near just a little patience" He said and I nodded. I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly but enough for him not to choke.
Lian's POV
"Y-yes uncle, I'm sorry we didn't watch him"
"No, don't blame yourself, darling, no one wants what happened," Aunty said. Zharina's mother. We are in the video call by her parents and they said they want to go here but Avy stopped them because for sure they're going to put Zharina direct to the hospital and their mansion is so far from here.
"Yes, Aunty. We will inform you about Zharina's condition when the rescuers got her, Aunty and Uncle. I said and they just nodded while crying.
Avy looks devastated too because of her swollen eyes and she was still restless. Even though I was nervous but I feel reassured every time I remember that Caleb will take Zharina safely.
I'm not really close to Caleb but for now, he and the rescuers are our only hope. Oh God, please I know you know where Zharina is, and please keep her away from evil.
Caleb's POV
"check the surroundings now!" one of the rescuers ordered and even I'm not one of them I still did what he said. Since it's quite dark because it's already midnight it's hard for us to look clearly.
But of course, we can't miss it until later.
"ZHARINA!" I shouted while shaking my flashlight expecting to find here that fast. "ZHARINA WE ARE COMING" I shouted again as if she will hear me. I walked in the other direction until my foot leads me to the close cliff, gladly I didn't slide fuck!
The cliff isn't deep that much but more on rocks and logs. I reflect the light of my flashlight there then I saw a brown bag. "SIR! COME HERE! SIR!" I shouted and they immadiently approached me.
"what?"
"sir I saw a bag there and I think it's from Zharina," I said and point what I'm talking about, the three of them insist to check if anyone's there.
After they go down we also follow them and check if there's a sign that Zharina went here. "sir that's her things!" I said when I saw a lot of makeups, medicine kits, hygiene that includes napkins, food, etc. She bought a lot of things huh.
"Are you sure that's her things?" One of them asked me and I nod multiple times
"yes im 101% sir" I answered and they start to pick it one by one and put it on plastic. I bend my knee to join their on picking up until I saw a rock with blood "sir, that's blood right? I said and point the rock, they all look at it and check if I am right.
"Positive," he said. The rescuer, sorry I don't know their name hehe.
"there's a 98% clue that Zharina's went here and I'm sure she falls here and stumbled, but if it's that's so she can't walk nor stand because of that and so there's a possibility that someone saw her and get her out of here.
"fuck what? what if she's not safe on that person?! a rapist! a kidnaper or what!" I automatically nonplussed.
"calm down, is she your girlfriend?" He asked, and my lips quickly closed.
"let's go let's find her," I said and stood up, they didn't talk and stand up too.
while we are our way on searching for her something pop pop into my mind "SIR!" I shouted that made them jump because of shocks. They all glared at me so I gave them a peace sign. "sir what if let's contact your campaign leader and ask for help because as far as I know, she's with her wrist clock so we or they can know where the students are" I explained and they looked at each other
"You know what? Your leader is a stupid mother fucker" rescuer number 1 said
I sigh "yeah I know—WAIT WHAT? what do you mean?"
"Why they didn't tell us that you have that fucking wrist clock so we can easily find her," he said and shook their heads
"contact their leader now" rescuer number 2 spoke and rescuer number 3 dialed it immadiently. We are 6 so there's still rescuer number 4 and 5 hehe.
After a minute they already got the location where Zharina is so we immediately go there and gladly she has not gone far yet.
"ZHARINA?!" I scream her name so she can know that she will be safe. "ZHARINA WE ARE—wonder pets...." My hyper voice goes too low when I saw Zharina resting on Kajik's Shoulder and Kajik didn't seem surprised at seeing us it's like he's expecting it right away.
"I thought it would take you a few more hours to find out what's the use of the watch," He said with no expression and was about to carry Zharina when I approach him and held his arm. He looked at me and furrowed his eyebrows with confusion
"Let me," I said to him and lift Zharina, the rescuers also help me to put her on a stretcher bed.
"be careful she has—ouch!" He stopped talking and hold his tummy
"what happened?" I asked him but he didn't respond so I up his shirt then I saw his tummy bleeding because he got a big circle wound "what the fuck?! what—"
"don't mind me, just take care of Zharina," He said while catching his breath
"You go first, We're going to cover his wound to stop the bleeding then we will follow right after." Rescuer number 1 said and we were with that so I tapped Kajik's shoulder before joining Other rescuers who are accompanying Zharina.
before I leave I looked back and call Kajik's name, he looked at me with no expression again "I will take care of her first" I said and smiled before I left.
Lian's POV
"We can still wait for—"
"They're here!" We immadiently looked in that direction where my schoolmate pointed out and we saw a three rescuer and Caleb with Zharina!
"ohmygod" Avy murmured and run towards them, I followed her too and almost all of us are looking at Zharina's situation. When we saw her my lips parted and I felt my tears landed. Mix emotion, that what we feel right now, sad because of what happened and happy because she's now safe, Oh God thank you so much
"treat her now!" our professor said and the rescuers quickly moved. "Okay students sorry for this big trouble but y'all need to rest because we leave later on 8 am after we go back we will give you a long break and the next day after that is your last task," he said so we nodded and some of us are leaving to go inside their tents.
Avy's already inside the emergency tent and I was about to get inside too when I saw Caleb. I approach him and smiled at him
"thank you for searching my friend," I said and I think he wants to say something but I already left him.
