Moving On

Amora lay there quietly. The smell of blood filling her nose.

Andrew was still slumped over, his white coat now red, stained with his blood. He was certainly dead, his skin turning pale and cold, and Amora couldn't move. Her only thoughts being how she just killed Andrew.

Footsteps begin upstairs and Amora's hand shoots out some fire on its own, hitting a pile of hay and leading up the wall. Amora sat there, looking at the flame blankly as it moved to the roof and causing black smoke to fill the room.

Amora slowly stands up and stumbles over to Cole's tube. She begins crying from what she did and presses a button, the liquid spills onto the floor and Amora catches Cole, who was falling.

He was still unconscious and was somehow very light. Amora looked back to Andrew and continued up the stairs.

Once upstairs, she walks outside and carries Cole through the forest. She slips and drops Cole, she begins to fall downhill and passes out.

"It's somewhere over here!" Reyon yelled.

"You trailed them right?" Leon asked, looking around as it began to rain.

"Yeah! I saw him lead her somewhere over here and then I called you!" Reyon replied, still looking around in the dark. "It's right there!" She said, running toward the abandoned church.

They broke inside and could hear someone crying. They opened what looked to be a basement door and inside the crying began to grow louder. Reyon searched for the sound and once finding it, she threw them to the ground. It seemed to be an old man, who was crying over someone's body.

"What did you do to this person?!" Reyon yelled to the man.

"Nothing! Amora... she killed my grandson! She stabbed him to death!" The man yelled angrily between sniffles.

"Huh?" Reyon thought as she created fire in her palm and moved closer to the dark figure slumped over. She put her other hand to her mouth as she could see it was Andrew.

"He... needed her elements and I was the only one who could give them to him! I have the ability to take them away and give them to another person!" He stood up with a sudden movement and lunged at Reyon, going in for a quick stab at her neck, but Leon was faster and stabbed him in the throat, causing him to fall back and roll around before finally dying.

"Oh god... we need to call Hexagon Corporation and leave... this is bad. We need to find Amora!" Reyon yelled as she ran outside, Leon stayed behind and picked up Andrew's body. He proceeded after Reyon outside.

Leon searched through the forest and Reyon searched near the house.

Leon could see footprints in the mud, but they seemingly ended at some point. The search continued, and when Leon returned home, he could see muddy footprints throughout the house.

After following them, he could see someone putting Amora into her bed. They stand up and look at Leon.

"Who are you?! What're you doing in here?!" Leon yelled at the figure.

"Cole Peters, from what I can remember at least. The old man and his grandson had me locked up in an attempt to get my element, but it wouldn't work." He steps into the light and appeared to be about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had short brown hair and was of average weight.

Leon understood and knew of Cole Peters from his missing posters. He made Cole sit on the couch in the living room as he took Andrew's cold body into the elevator and to one of the lower floors.

Upon entering, the lights turned on and tubes were illuminated. Leon put Andrew in a tube, in hopes of somehow bringing him back eventually. He then exited and when back upstairs, where Cole was still in the same spot.

"Is... everything all right?" Cole asked calmly.

"No. Just stay quiet please," Leon begged as he sat in Amora's room with her, crying as she slept.

Reyon soon came home as well and ignored Cole as she too, entered Amora's room, and sat there.

"Things were supposed to work well... we thought the only problem was the killer out there... but it wasn't... someone else wanted to... take our daughter away again," Reyon said as tears fell onto Amora's bed from her eyes.

"We're sorry... we should have been sooner!" Reyon and Leon kept saying, over and over again. As if they could do anything now.

Days passed and Amora wouldn't even leave her room to eat. She'd eat food that was brought to her, but she rarely spoke and mostly cried. The memories clouded her vision and ruined her.

Aya moved to the upper floor, (Andrew's old room) and slept there, learning the story about what happened from Leon. She wasn't in as bad of a state as Amora but still took it pretty hard.

"A-Amora?" Cole asked as he put his head to the door.

There was no response.

"Thank you... for saving me... I'm sorry for what happened." Cole said with tears in his eyes.

Amora lay there quietly, thinking that there was no longer a point to live.
