The Vulture vs. Spider-Man

~*~

After having a bad dinner date with his dance partner, Flash drove up to the high school before screaming upon Spider-Man jumping onto his father's car hood.

"Flash, I need to borrow your car," Peter said in a deeper voice.

Flash looked up at Spider-Man with a scared look on his face, "Sir-sir technically I can't because this is my father's car."

In the end, Flash gave the car to Spider-Man only to witness him scratch the car knowing he was dead if his father ever saw this. Peter called Ned thinking this would be a good time to find out exactly where his phone was headed since he needed eyes. Ned kept the lights in the computer lab off, knowing it would be a good idea for them not to have any reason to look in here.

Answering the phone, seeing it was Peter, "Ned, where is the location of my phone?"

"Looks like it's going past a game stop on 57th," Ned told him while trying to bypass the security to get a hold of Mr. Hogan.

Peter found it strange he wouldn't be going towards the airport, "That's weird; I thought he was going out of town. Hey, tell me how where the lights are on Flash's car, please."

"Yeah, just hang on a sec," Ned said, finally getting through to Happy trying to tell him about Peter when he hung up the phone call.

Ned mentally facepalmed himself about this before hearing Peter asking about the lights again, telling him where they were in the car. Since apparently, he had only driven with May in the parking lots with this being a huge step up freaking out, trying to not get into any accidents.

"Oh, I had gotten ahold of Mr. Happy. Don't think he likes you, by the way. He looked like b boxes surrounded him explained to him, checking the location of Peter's phone.

Peter soon realized what was happening, "It's moving day, it's moving day he's going to try to steal from that shipment."

Knowing where to go now driving there before he crashed the car into a pole only started swinging off this time.

"It's been an honor Spider-Man," Ned said to Peter before noticing the lights came on seeing one of his teachers behind him.

She wondered what Ned was doing here when they had a dance going on right now. Ned thought of the worst thing portable, thinking fast, saying he was looking at dirty adult videos. Going back to where Peter was located, Toomes was waiting for him to know who he was since Liz had shown him pictures of the decathlon members. Members Listening to him talking at the dance when he dropped off his daughter, he knew he was familiar to him now.

"Surprised, how could you do this to Liz," asked Peter standing in front of Toomes.

Toomes just looked over at him casually, "Oh, hey Pete, I'm doing this to her. I'm doing this for her."

Peter webbed his hand to the desk he was leaning against, knowing he would stop him no matter what. Toomes sighed lightly before taking something sharp, cutting the webbing off of the hand, knowing Peter was young.

"Peter, you're young. You don't understand how the world works." Toomes says to Peter, looking at him.

Peter straightens up, looking at him, "Yeah, but I understand that selling weapons to criminals is wrong!"

"How do you think your buddy Stark paid for that tower or any of his little toys? Those people, Pete, those people up there, the rich and the powerful, they do whatever they want. Guys like us, like you and me...they don't care about us. We build their roads, and we fight all their wars and everything. They don't care about us. We have to pick up after them. We have to eat their table scraps. That's how it is. I know you know what I'm talking about, Peter," explained Toomes to Peter, knowing he would get this.

Peter looked confused on his face though his mask was hidden, "Why are you telling this?"

"'Cause I want you to understand. And...I needed a little time to get her airborne," Toomes said to summon his vulture harness.

It nearly hit Peter thought it missed. Still, it struck all the concrete pillars surrounding him, knowing it would crush him. Toomes putting on his vulture harness, knowing he would have to get out of here before the roof collapsed on top of him.

"You missed it! You didn't even hit me!" Peter said cockily.

Toomes looked over at Peter, "Yeah, but then again -- I wasn't even trying to. Seeing you later, Peter."

Flying out of the warehouse just as the structure came down, Peter was scared of his masking coming off. Peter was crushed between the two pillars calling for help though no one would come for him. Looking down at his mask in the water puddle, "If you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it." thinking about what Mr. Stark had told him after what happened at the ferry. Inner strength started to come out of Peter, encouraging himself to get the pillars off of him. Grabbing his mask, ringing it out before putting it back on taking off finding the Vulture using his webbing on the attachment to one of his legs.

Taking a ride, knowing he wasn't going to get noticed by him, thinking about how he would do this. He wanted to stop him before something else happened, plus he didn't want to let Jessie down. He planned to head back to the dance no matter how bad he looked since he had wanted to take her. Landing on the plane with a cloaking device, knowing this would be amazing if he didn't have to break into it to stop the Vulture. Toomes was inside, unaware of Peter being on the same plane right now with him since he thought he was crushed underneath the rubble.

Entering the plane, "It's over, Mr. Toomes, it'll be easier to just turn yourself in."

Toomes frustrated that he would have to fight a 15-year-old kid over this, knowing he would have to deal with this later.

"It's over, Peter," Toomes said, starting to fight him before getting outside again.

They started fighting outside the aircraft, with Peter dodging his attacks while the Tinkerer told Toomes he needed to get out there. Of course, Toomes wasn't going to leave empty-handed with everything going on and knew this was going to be their ticket. Using his metallic wings to slice open the aircraft's back to get to the cargo inside while debris struck the motor. Causing it to explode with Peter using his webbing to have the tail flap lift to turn the aircraft to prevent from crashing in the city. Begging it to turn, landing in on the beach next to Coney Island with Peter getting up slowly. His ears ringing without realizing Vulture flew in behind him before knocking him down, knowing he planned to end this. They fought again, with Peter trying his best to dodge the Vulture's attacks only to get down.

Peter managed to get back onto his feet, throwing a few punches knowing this would be something he would be a different fight. Since he didn't have a safety net to help him knowing he would have to get out of this on his own. Having to inhale the courage and exhale fear from his mind to take down Mr. Toomes since this would be something he would have to learn. Knowing with every change, he would have to keep in mind he would always have to cover it with or without help. Toomes saw his opening taking down Peter, slamming him headfirst into the sand three times before noticing the alien tech ship. Bingo was his nameo, and his wings were starting to short circuit out with sparks flying as he went over to the crate.

Peter wore out from the fighting lifting his head, noticing his wings were going explode. Eyes wide upon this knowledge, quickly getting up off the ground, knowing he had to save him since he wasn't going to let something bad happen to Liz's dad. Toomes noticed webbed his wings, trying to stop him from stopping Peter snapping the webbing off before Peter curled up to protect himself. The wings exploded, causing a fire only for Toomes to buried underneath his wings with Peter getting up again. Running over to the debris, trying to get it up before letting it go since he burned his hands though he ignored the pain. He pulled the metal off Toomes with Peter dragging him out of the rubble, placing him down on the ground before collapsing.

Coughing and letting out a sigh of relief knowing nothing bad happened to Liz's dad before webbing up Toomes to the crates. Taking off back towards the high school since he had a date with his best friend Jessie and hoped he didn't miss her singing. Happy and the Shield agents found Toomes webbed up to the crates with a note attached that read, "Stopped the Vulture Guy, courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." Happy may have been acting differently to Peter, but he always knew he was a good kid who would do amazing things.

Ned waited for Peter, where the buses saw him swinging up and landing in front of him. Ned held up his clothes with them heading to the school's restroom, Peter getting dressed and cleaned up. Ned helped Peter patching up the cut on his forehead's right side before heading back towards the dance. Peter noticed Jess and Michelle were walking over to punch him awkwardly towards his friend. He understood if she didn't want to talk with him for the rest of the night since he missed most of the dance with her anyway. Jess took a sip of the punch before her eyes landed on Peter, smiling at him, walking over hugging him.

"Hey, what happened to you? I was starting to get worried?" Jess asked Peter brushing her fingers over his wound.

At a touch, Peter shuddered; surprised, she wasn't upset with him about to say something to her when they announced the homecoming king and queen. The King was Flash Thomspon, and Queen was Liz Toomes; everyone clapped their hands while the teacher said Jess would be singing. Feeling eyes on her, Peter noticed her nervousness gently rubbing her shoulder before Jess smiled, walking back into the gym. Standing on a makeshift stage with Liz and Flash starting the dance once Jess would start dancing. Jess was always nervous about something through her eyes went straight on Peter, who gave her a thumbs up. Peter knew she would be great since he had been telling her this since the party at Liz's house with him being shocked.
