Chapter 28

A week passed. The culprit didn't return. Mr. Frog got the building's employees to clean up the depressing mess on my floor and get a new batch of butterflies.

When a butterfly dies, you just replace it with a new one. It's a sad and simple truth.

When Butterfly is removed from Aqua Chrysalis, she'll be replaced by a new tenant.

Survival of the fittest. Natural selection. Change is constant.

I had nowhere else to go if I got kicked out. I wasn't even sure if I had a real home.

I didn't have the motivation to go outside and enjoy a nice weekend. I even avoided seeing Mr. Shark for a whole week. During the brief occasions that I saw him, he appeared absorbed in his own thoughts.

I just stayed on my bed and fell asleep.

When I woke up, I noticed a purple envelope in front of the door. I picked it up from the floor.

It had nothing written on it, so I ripped it open. The letter inside said:
